About this venue
Located in Idaho Springs, Colorado, Echo Mountain is a ski area in the winter months and an incredible mountain wedding venue in the warmer months. With our breathtaking mountain views looking out over the Rocky Mountains and Continental Divide, Echo Mountain has the luxury of being only 36 miles from Denver. This creates a more effortless traveling experience for you and your guests. We have indoor and outdoor options available for your ceremony, dinner, and reception. If you love gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, and being able to see the clearest and fullest sky of stars, Echo Mountain is the venue for your big day! Being 10,500 feet high in elevation, it'll feel like you and your fiancé are saying "I do" on top of the world!
Facilities and Capacities
Choose to have your ceremony inside or outside. We have a few different areas outside that you can choose for your ceremony site, all with an incredible mountainous backdrop. In our Lodge, we can fit 100 people comfortably for dinner, then turn out lights, turn up the music, and enjoy a fantastic reception in the same area. Our café has a garage door that opens to a patio where cocktail hour takes place, creating the best flow for your guests after your ceremony. We have a full bar in our café that can be used throughout the duration of your event. If you have a larger guest count, we can accommodate rented large tents fitting up to 500 people. Echo Mountain has the ability to be flexible with our couples, making your big day true to how you have always dreamt it to be.
Services Offered
Echo Mountain offers a variety of services. Our standard time block is a 10-hour time block, which includes the time our couples set up and tear down. Additional time can be purchased. Our bridal and groom suites are spacious and the perfect size so you and your wedding party can enjoy getting ready. We have tables and benches to use inside of our Lodge, along with four round cocktail tables that can be a high top or low top. In our café, there are four square, wood high-top cocktail tables that are primarily used during cocktail hour. Last but not least, we have a beautiful arch that can be used for any ceremony that is outside, if you desire.
All of the above is included in our venue site fee. We don't require a day of coordinator. If you do not have one, our day-of coordinator will happily jump in without an additional fee. This ensures that you and your fiancé can be guests at your wedding and truly enjoy the day! 😊

We don't have lodging on-site; however, there are different hotels and Airbnbs within 30 minutes of Echo.

Perfection!!
On our tour, we immediately fell in love with the spectacular views. From there the entire planning process was so easy with Meg. The actual wedding day was so unbelievably perfect and smooth! Meg and her team made everything so stress free with things like coordinating all our vendors, and bringing us appetizers immediately after the ceremony and dinner immediately after our reception entrance. We were lucky enough to have great weather, but we felt safe knowing their team was ready to pivot and rearrange the set up if needed. We could keep raving forever but we’ll just lastly mention that their in-house catering was incredible!!!
Amazing Mountain Views! Day Of Coordinator Meg is the Best!
We also want to give a huge shout-out to Meg, our day-of coordinator. We're from Minnesota, but wanted to get married on the mountaintop in Colorado. Planning a wedding from out of state isn’t easy, but Meg made the entire process feel seamless. She even invited us up to Echo for a ski day while we were visiting Colorado this past winter!
Meg was incredibly responsive, organized, and genuinely helpful in every step throughout our wedding planning process. And on the wedding day itself, Meg and her team were truly amazing—calm, supportive, and always one step ahead. We felt completely taken care of.
Echo Mountain and Meg helped make our wedding everything we hoped for and more. We can’t recommend this venue enough!
