The Stables of Rolling Ridge is a family owned and operated farm located just outside of Gaithersburg in Laytonsville, Maryland. This sophisticated venue is both a flower farm and equestrian facility, making it perfect for wedding couples seeking a scenic country venue for an intimate wedding or elopement. Celebrate your love and commitment to one another among secluded rolling hills, graceful stone barns and lush green pasture. In addition to venue rental, this one-of-a-kind horse and flower farm also offers full service floral design and event decor both onsite and throughout Maryland and the DMV.
Venue reservations are available Sunday through Friday and include several event sites. Saturday dates are reserved for equestrian service and family access only.
Facilities and Capacity
The farm offers several event sites that work perfectly for a celebration with up to 30 guests. Residing in the farm’s garden you’ll find a stunning garden pergola constructed of cedar trees and beautiful stone atop a stamped concrete patio with entranceway. The family’s stable works great as a covered, open-air site for a ceremony or small farm table reception. Above the barn, the Floral Shop offers a space that can serve as a bridal suite for ceremony preparations or an intimate indoor reception. Within the working equestrian area of the farm, a cement ‘tent pad’ adjacent to an elegant stone barn, serves as a place for tented events. The tented reception site works best for wedding receptions with up to 50 guests. Larger events may be accommodated with additional requirements.
Onsite parking is available. The Stables of Rolling Ridge is a working farm. Event areas are connected by gravel and/or lawn pathways.
Farm reservations are offered Sunday through Friday and work best during in-season months, April through October, but are available year-round. Venue rentals provide all the essentials including proper event space, your choice of wooden ceremony benches or padded resin chairs, handcrafted wooden farm tables, and reception chairs for a complete setup on your big day!
Hire the licensed and insured caterer of choice to fully handle your food and beverage services. Additional furniture and rentals, including tenting, are available if items beyond farm inventory are needed to complete your vision.

The farm is home to Rolling Ridge Floral Design and this onsite florist offers beautiful wedding bouquets and all types of floral arrangements and decor such as wooden arches, glass votive and more! Flowers and materials are homegrown and selected from the farm itself or sourced locally and as needed. Custom arrangements and decor items are available for events hosted on the farm or anywhere throughout Maryland and the DMV.
Smaller events with under 30 guests, such as rehearsal dinners, showers and bridal party prep for offsite weddings, may be held inside the floral shop above the barn year-round. Reserve the floral shop for your own event or book a floral arrangement workshop for your group. Private workshops work great for bridal party festivities, showers, and small corporate retreats.

Amazing vendor. Amazing team. Amazing venue.
This venue is MUST for intimate weddings. We booked this venue in Feb for their gorgeous outdoor views. Really, the views are stunning! We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful backdrop for our intimate, outdoor, modern/rustic wedding. Then, they built a pergola in the middle of a garden. We received so many compliments on the venue and questions about how/where we found them. Someone even said it made them feel like they were in Napa Valley, California! The ceremony space was sooo beautiful, you didn't even need to add a lot of decor. The natural beauty of the backdrop of trees, wooden pergola and tons of flowers in the garden were enough. Working with the florist, Emmi and coordinator, Melissa was such a great experience as well. It really felt like they were as invested in our wedding ceremony as we were. They were flexible to changes due to COVID and just last minute changes to my floral order. Melissa was always available for questions, guidance and advice and when my DJ fell through at the last minute, she connected me with someone she knew that was awesome. Perfect Wedding Venue
It would be hard to find a better wedding venue than this beautiful property with many options for your ceremony. We chose to get married on a little knoll with a beautiful view of the rolling hillside. However, it started to rain 90 mins before the service and we moved inside to the most luxurious barn I have ever seen. I think that worked even better for our wedding and people loved. There's a another gorgeous barn with a stone patio where we had appetizers and drinks. They also have a cement slab you put a tent on and that's where we had our reception. So many of our guests told us afterward it was the best wedding they have ever been too. Our pictures were amazing because there were so many amazing spots to be photographed on the property. The owners and the coordinator went above and beyond to make our day the best it could be. We would highly recommend this wedding venue!Sent on 10/28/2019
