Every so often you come across a real-life angel. For us, that was Chanler and the TPIM team. We hired TPIM for month-of coordination, but they went above and beyond that. When our original venue Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Museum and federal property, was closed by the U.S. government shutdown just two weeks before our wedding, Chanler calmly and expertly stepped in and quite literally helped us pack up and move our entire wedding to another location. She handled every logistic with unbelievable precision and clear love for weddings, and made us both feel at ease under the most stressful situation.

Our wedding ended up being even more beautiful and meaningful than we could have imagined and was an obvious reflection of the love, care, and tireless effort Chanler poured into it. If you’re looking for someone who can bring calm to chaos, understand your vision, and implement everything flawlessly, TPIM (and specifically Chanler) is that team. We truly could not have done it without them.

We used TPIM's month-of coordination services and Chanler was amazing! She has this wonderful energy that is both warm and calming. We immediately felt so supported in wedding prep and she took care of pretty much everything for us in the nearly 2 months leading up to the wedding. She kept things both organized and flexible, and we always felt that we could make changes to anything and they would be smoothly absorbed even up to the actual day of the wedding. We had a very specific and personal vision of our wedding as a board game night, and she was fully behind whatever ideas we had and helped immensely in making them successful.

Chanler worked so well with our entire team of vendors and on the day of, they all knew exactly what they were doing and at what time. There was zero responsibility on us as the bride and groom, and there was always someone there to help us along so we didn't have to worry about any logistics. Setup, teardown, and the entire day ran on schedule and went exactly as we wanted, and everything was so organized and beautiful. Chanler and her assistant Haley were there for us with pretty much anything we could have needed, they even already had hydrocortisone cream ready for us when one of us got a bug bite. 😅 We 1000% recommend TPIM for wedding coordination!!

Lara, Christina, and the whole TPIM team were a total dream to work with. From our first intro conversation to the wedding weekend 10 months later, we felt supported, informed, and confident of the whole process. TPIM is knowledgable, flexible, collaborative, and extremely communicative - in the weeks leading up to the wedding, our friends kept commenting on how we were the calmest soon-to-be-wed couple they had ever seen, which is certainly a direct result of and testament to how well taken care of we felt by the TPIM team. Working with our team from The Privilege is Mine for our wedding was a dream! We were looking for a coordination team since we had booked most of our vendors and made a lot of plans ourselves, but we had a unique wedding day with two ceremonies and meal services in the same day, requiring a lot coordination with vendors, an extra long day, and complex turnovers. Ever since our first call with Lara, we really vibed with her philosophy of nontraditional wedding planning for nontraditional couples and we felt like our energy and priorities would be matched by this team. We wanted our wedding to feel like a laid back, extremely personal celebration of us, our relationship and our cultures, and we felt that working with Lara and her team would help us achieve exactly that.

Throughout the process, we had regular monthly communication to check in, which was amazing. The team also hopped on important vendor calls and meets if they felt we needed extra support. Nicole and Amberlyn, our leads for the day, went above and beyond in supporting us, answering all of our questions, dealing with a few vendor issues we ran into in the months leading up to the wedding. TPIM’s customizable add ons, if you find you need extra are also a great option, and we were able to add some extra support to coordinate the timeline with vendors. There was never any assumptions about wedding traditions, which was especially appreciated by us as a couple with two non-American families.

The day of the wedding was the most stress-free experience because we knew Nicole and Amberlyn would take care of everything. they handled a rain plan, ceremony running over, family, and everything in between and made sure we had the most fun day. they made sure we were fed, supplied with drinks and so we'll taken care of. Our assistant planners, Sydney and Chanler, were also so lovely to work with.

TPIM is a godsend! Of all of my wedding vendors, Lara and Nicole were the greatest value-ad to having a stress free wedding day. We had TPIM's 30-day coordination package for our wedding in Brooklyn. Lara is the calming presence that you will need in the home stretch of your wedding planning and to execute the big day. She is patient, a great listener, truly in your corner, and an all-around good human being. Her easy-going demeanor was exactly what I needed leading up to my wedding day and on the actual day to feel like all of the last minute logistics were handled and most importantly, taken off my plate. Nicole also assisted on our wedding day. Her positive energy when we arrived at the venue and throughout the evening made us feel relaxed and cared for. If we hadn't hired TPIM, the final month of wedding planning and day-of would have been so much more stressful. We could not have pulled it off without them. Thank you so much, Lara & Nicole!

I signed on to work with Lara and TPIM before the pandemic for a May 2021 wedding. When Covid and lockdown started, Lara made sure to check in with me, which was thoughtful considering the world was in such a state. When we decided to postpone our wedding, Lara was quick to respond and ready to sign on for a new date. Because of her quick response, we were able to get a new date and keep all of our contracted vendors for a 2022 wedding.

Since we signed up for the package that includes day-of coordination and two months of working together prior to the event, I had a lot of time to plan on my own and get more and more anxious. I was actually getting heart palpitations with my anxiety. And I'm not kidding, once my two months with Lara began, those heart palpitations eased. I felt cared for.

Lara brought a level of calm that I couldn't have found on my own. She came up with alternatives to problems that I never would have thought of. Since I'm very detail-oriented, I asked detailed [annoying] questions, and she gave thought and care to her answers, even when I thought I was being annoying. She was quick to hop on a call when I needed to talk.

My gorgeous day in May turned out to be a cold rainy day, but it didn't matter at all. They made the indoor space look cozy and beautiful. Though I had been communicating with Lara for years and knew her well, on the day of the event I met her assistant coordinator, Anita, and I was instantly comfortable with her. Anita was kind, fun, and efficient, and made the crazy "backstage" stuff smooth and enjoyable.

Throughout the evening, Lara kept everything running, cued people for speeches, kept me aware of things I needed to know, but also purposely left me out of things I didn't need to know. On the day of the wedding, I didn't want to worry about anything--I didn't want to know the time, I didn't want to know what was happening next--I just left it up to Lara and TPIM. And at the end of the evening, the TPIM team was a flurry of efficient packing up--they were awesome!

In summary: if you are an anxious, detail-oriented person like me who doesn't always trust other people to get the job done, you can trust The Privilege is Mine. I'm very grateful for them.

We worked with Krista, and on the day-of she and the team were amazing! We stayed ahead of schedule, something my husband and I were really concerned about due to pictures, and we were able to get all of the pictures we wanted before the sun set. The day-of was so stress free and easy - both my husband and I are so happy we worked with THE PRIVILEGE IS MINE - highly, highly recommend!

This team is AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things about TPIM and I would recommend them to anyone. Lara and Anita were fantastic to work with – both so supportive, professional, and organized. We first signed on for day of coordination in early 2020 with Lara and when we had to postpone our wedding celebrations multiple times, Lara was with us every step of the way. Her passion and dedication to helping her clients is incredible. After many e-mails, phone calls, and FaceTime’s later, we finally were able to celebrate our reception in November 2021 with Anita taking on the role as head planner and the day was perfect in every way! Anita was so grounding and helpful with offering advice to make the event as smooth and organized as possible. She is fantastic at what she does – you know it’s impressive when multiple other vendors compliment the communication and organization of the coordinator. Nicole was also great as an assistant on our reception day – she put as at ease and was so kind to us. TPIM is the best around and I am so thankful for all of their help with our wedding reception!

So grateful to have had Nicole and Amberlynn for our big day. I'm a bit of a type-A control freak, but I didn't want to be stressed and not enjoy my wedding day. It was a bit of a late-in-the-game decision to hire a day-of coordinator, but I'm 100% glad we did. It was SO nice to be able to just enjoy the day and not have to be on top of everything and coordinating with all the involved parties (and there are SO many). It was amazing peace of mind to be able to just hand things off to Nicole and Amberlynn and trust that everything would go well -- and it all did. We seriously had a perfect day and there's not one thing we wish would have gone differently. I hired Lara for 6 month coordination when I first started planning my wedding back in 2019. Right away I was confident that she would be amazing at helping me pull together all of the details for our day. When we had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021, she was so helpful at helping us coordinate and keep us on track. When she told me the exciting news that she was expecting (yay!) and wouldn't be able to be there day of, she introduced me to her associate planner Nicole and the three of us worked together right up until the day of the wedding. Nicole absolutely NAILED IT day of and kept me sane in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
