The Kent-Valentine House is a 12,000 sq. ft. mansion that has been restored to its 19th century grandeur and renovated to meet the needs of the 21st century. Flanked by majestic magnolia trees and with Roman Ionic columns creating an architectural effect of elegance, this imposing eighteen room antebellum residence is one of the last dwellings in downtown Richmond surrounded by trees.
This mansion offers a unique setting to host your special gathering. The 1st floor of the House includes a large kitchen with all the amenities for your chef, three parlors, an oversized dining room and a fantastic sun porch overlooking the gorgeous magnolias. The historic Kent-Valentine House would make a perfect backdrop to all intimate events.

Kent Valentine House made our Wedding Perfect
Quan and team at Kent Valentine made our wedding vision, magical, intimate and amazing. They helped with every detail, let our vendors come get a feel for the space and were so helpful and accommodating we were able to show up for the big day with little as stress as possible. I cannot rave enough at the level of spectacular service they provided to make my dream wedding come true. I would highly recommend Kent Valentine House to anyone wanting a special event setting. They transformed the back into a romantic setting and everyone loved the space inside and out.Sent on 10/15/2018

Kent Valentine proved the perfect setting for our wedding. It's beautiful inside and out and works great for smaller events (we had 65 guests). The event manager, Quan, was great to work with, she was very responsive and had good ideas to help make our event go smoothly.Sent on 07/19/2018

My husband and I had our reception at the Kent-Valentine House in December of 2007, and had not trouble booking the date. The venue is a beautiful Victorian house in the heart of Richmond, VA, that is withing walking distance from the Jefferson Hotel, as well as other notable sites in the city. The rooms were decorated with fresh flowers of the season because the Garden Club of Va is located there and provides beautiful decor for the whole first floor. They gave us the option of renting tables, chairs, table cloths, candles, and much more. We, however, decided not to have tables and use their wonderful Victorian couches and georgous dinning room settings to give it a more romantic feeling. The guests were comfortable, had pleanty of room to move around and gave me and my husband many compliments on the beautiful setting. I recomend this venue to anyone who has a special occasion, be it a wedding, a birthday, or a milestone anniversary. It was affordable. We had ample parking, security available, and much more. It was an unforgettable experience that we would love to be able to recreate in the future for our special dates to come.Sent on 09/27/2008
