We had our September 2023 wedding at the Barnstead. We rented out the Barnstead for the weekend, with a pizza welcome party Friday night and cocktail hour/tented reception/after party Saturday. We worked with Meg to plan the fairytale weekend. The attention to detail was top notch the entire time from apple cider donuts to Vermont cheddar mac and cheese to sweeping the dance floor to keeping my glass full with champagne. They treated all of our guests like family from helping my grandmother get around the property easily and ensuring our guests got around town safely. Would highly recommend this wedding venue.

My company has had two corporate retreats at the Barnstead Inn. The team there is amazing and extremely helpful in every single way. Even with our constant changing plans, they were always on board and helped to make it happen. 10/10 would recommend any event there.

The Barnstead Inn holds such a special place in our hearts. Before our wedding, we stayed there three times, and each visit made us fall more in love with its cozy, homey feel and the incredibly warm and welcoming team. So when it came time to plan our welcome dinner, choosing The Barnstead was a no-brainer.

That night was truly everything we dreamed of and more. The staff didn’t just help us host a dinner—they became part of the celebration. Their care, attention to detail, and genuine kindness made it feel like we were surrounded by family.

Even our relatives back in Massachusetts are still joking that they wish they could pick up The Barnstead and drop it in their backyard so we could go every day. It’s just that special.

Hosting a special celebration at the Barnstead Inn was more than I could have hoped for. From the planning to the event, the event coordinator Megan was a gem. She was engaging and thoughtful, capturing what my vision was. Megan, Andrea and staff were professional, friendly and accommodating to details, big and small.
The menu was diverse and delicious and a last minute addition to accommodate a special dietary need was taken care of smoothly and quietly.
The ambience of the space was warm, inviting and beautifully done, I have now hosted 2 events here and look forward to our next!

The Barnstead made our wedding weekend everything we had hoped for! Beautiful grounds, stunning rooms, and very accommodating for us and our guests. We loved the home cooked breakfasts and everything about the Barnstead. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It felt like a family there. We cannot wait to book for our wedding anniversary. To say the Barnstead Inn is the perfect wedding venue is an understatement. From when we first toured the property in the Winter of 2022, we immediately knew this is where we wanted to get married. The staff were welcoming and kind, making us feel like family from the beginning.

Throughout the planning process Meg and Andrea were a great team who guided us through each decision based on past experiences. We met with Meg regularly via Zoom and phone calls, and she worked closely with us to answer every question we had, and thoroughly explained to us what would and wouldn’t need in order to keep our budget in check. She recommended vendors, day-of timelines and optimal layouts but was also amenable to the new ideas we wanted to try out.

One of the benefits of the Inn was the ability to have members of our family and closest friends stay on-site throughout the weekend. The rooms and suites were perfectly suited for our guests, and the staff treated all guests with the best of care.

We hosted a few events on the property throughout the weekend including the rehearsal, post-rehearsal drinks in the tavern, wedding reception and farewell breakfast. Each of those events were perfectly staffed, expertly coordinated and immaculately decorated. Our guests still rave about how stunning the grounds were throughout the property.

When our wedding weekend finally arrived, we felt like the wedding we had planned with the crew at the Barnstead was a perfect reflection of us as a couple. We had a few last-minute tasks to complete, which Pete, Andrea, Meg, and the staff all lent help in accomplishing. The events went off without a hitch, and the day was perfect.

It’s tough to wholly reflect our feelings of the Barnstead Inn, its owners, and staff members in just a few short paragraphs. Our only regret is that we can’t relive the day every day. There’s no doubt without them, our wedding would not have been as amazing as it was. They’re truly dedicated to their guests, and we could not sing their praises enough.

From the fall entrance display, the new bridge, the extra and extra and extra late night breakfast sandwiches, you kept saying yes with a smile to everything that was needed or asked for and it was above and beyond!

You have a great staff that also does their job with a smile at all times. So many people who were staying at the Inn commented on how amazing the property and rooms are. The breakfast was extremely delicious and accommodating as well. My sister loved all the choices of “dairy” for her coffee!

The Barnstead Inn is a very special place. We spent our daughter’s wedding weekend at the Inn, along with the bridal party and family. The only comment we heard all weekend was, “what a fantastic place”. In addition to providing beautiful accommodations (complete with a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning), the staff helped us host a sit-down rehearsal dinner and a pizza welcome party for over 120 people. Both events were perfect with delicious food, locally crafted beer and an atmosphere that can’t be beat.

Megan, the event coordinator, helped us book multiple vendors from tent rental to wedding transportation and everything in between. She met with us whenever we asked and made sure everything was just how we wanted it (even last-minute requests were accepted without hesitation).

Andrea, the owner, takes great pride in the Inn and it shows. Every detail receives her full attention and is flawless. She was involved in every aspect of our beautiful weekend and made herself (along with Megan) available to us morning, noon and night. She has an exceptional staff that feels like a family and by the end of the weekend they made us feel like family too.

I could go on, there were so many great things both big and small. The next time we host an event, family gathering or want a weekend away, it will be at the Barnstead Inn!

My husband and I recently got married in Manchester, VT and utilized the Barnstead Inn for our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and used the entire grounds to house our wedding party. Andrea, Megan, and their team did an outstanding job the entire weekend. Paying close attention to everyone's needs and desires, our guests left happy and wanting to plan their own weekends at the inn. The Barnstead Inn is everything beautiful Vermont has to offer. Their grounds are beautifully manicured with endless flowers, a relaxing creek, tons of outdoor seating, and a clean heated saltwater pool! We stumbled upon the inn needing more accomodations for our wedding party, and knew this property was the perfect place to have not only beautiful rooms for our guests to stay in, but also space for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors. We worked closely with Megan & Andrea during the planning process of our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. They recommended the best catering in the area and assured us everything would be the vision we wanted. For our welcome party, we had their amazing brick oven pizzas (our guests still raving about these) and had lawn games provided by the inn for our guests to enjoy. Along with our rehearsal dinner and welcome party being on the property, myself (the bride) and bridesmaids got ready in the Farmhouse Suite. This was perfect for everyone and allowed plenty of room for comfort and relaxation getting ready. Although I didn't get married on the property, I'm confident my wedding would have gone smooth, considering all of our other events hosted there have. If anyone's looking for a beautiful property with amazing food & kind, caring staff - look no further! Our guests are still raving about the beautiful property, their welcoming staff, and the smooth rehearsal dinner and welcome party the Barnstead Inn provided. We can't recommend anyone else!

Andrea and the team at the Barnstead Inn are fantastic! The Farmhouse Suite was an amazing spot for the bride and groom to get ready in and made for some great pre wedding and first look photos.

The team was extremely flexible with hosting our after party and send off brunch and did everything they could to make us feel taken care of. I 100% recommend booking out the entire place for your wedding party and close friends. We had an amazing time there during our wedding weekend and can’t wait to return!
