Sweet Cheeks Baking Company, located in San Diego, California since 2007, is a renowned bakery that offers custom treats for weddings, among other special events. Elaine and her team of talented bakers & artists strive to bring fun and high-quality service to every event. The team realizes that a wedding cake is one of the most photographed items at any wedding event, so they work to make each cake as beautiful as possible, using the best ingredients to create delicious cakes with flair.
Experience - About the Founders
Sweet Cheeks Baking Co's creations have been featured multiple times on Food Network and TLC (and won Food Network's Cupcake Wars!) Elaine is also a wine educator & Certified Sommelier and graduate of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, while Donna served for 10 years as a chef for Presidents Clinton and Bush. Today, the team provides nearly 400 wedding cakes and dessert buffets to clients each year.

Wedding cake of my dreams!!!
Also…. I almost forgot to mention, we had the Triple Chocolate and the Fresh Lemon Berry cake! Both were very loved by our guests and we purchased for 124 attendees (which was or original guest count, but only 105 ended up coming). The only thing I would change would be actually getting some cake! Other than the bite we got for the cutting, Adam and I didn’t get any cake! I guess the guests loved it so much they ate it all!!! Lol
Scrumptious!
Because of the pandemic, our cake tasting involved us picking up the samples and trying them at home. The process was easy and Candace was super welcoming when I arrived. We also decided to rent cupcake stands through Sweet Cheeks. The team was great about providing options for us to choose from.
After our wedding, we returned all the rented stands at the bakery. Our dog was waiting in the car, and Elaine came out to say hi to us and our dog, and we chatted about our wedding. It was so nice of her to come out and see how our day went!
We would definitely order from Sweet Cheeks Bakery again!

We absolutely LOVE working with the Sweet Cheeks team! Their cakes + desserts are not only extremely delicious, but the presentation is wonderful as well. Our clients are always so impressed with how great their dessert table turns out. Since they also also offer cake stands, trays, and platters to rent it makes it that much easier for the client. Communication prior to event is great, and they always deliver on-time the day of events.
Our brides in San Diego have used this company many times and the cakes that come out of here are AMAZING! Great customer service too!
