The Sunshower team was absolutely incredible, I received so many compliments from my guests about how well-oiled of a machine they were. They didn't just plan my wedding day but they planned a wedding experience for my wedding guests at Kona Village! I had a three day wedding weekend (welcome party, wedding day, beach party) and they took care of every part from top to bottom. My husband and I both have busy jobs so it was so nice to have Kate be super responsive. It was pretty amazing to see her designs come to life, she put the mock ups together for us and it turned out exactly how we envisioned (but even better). I wanted a wedding weekend that fun, unique but also elegant and she absolutely delivered. If you're having a wedding at Kona Village, Kate knows the place by the back of her hands (right down to where the palm trees stand). She has a great relationship with the Kona Village team so was able to request stuff we didn't even know about! The best investment of my wedding!

Working with Sunshower (Falynn) was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, Falynn made the entire planning process feel smooth, structured, and manageable. She guided us through every step, helped us think through decisions we wouldn’t have even considered, and always stayed organized and on top of every detail.


On the wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly, even with some weather uncertainty. The wedding day was forecasted as heavy rain a few days before the wedding, Falynn proactively made many arrangements for backups. Luckily the day turns out to be beautiful. Because of her, we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about logistics.

We also made some last-minute changes to reception details very close to the wedding, and Falynn handled all of it seamlessly behind the scenes.

We were especially impressed with the after party setup—it turned out even better than we imagined, with such a fun and energetic atmosphere. It was truly one of the highlights of the night and a perfect ending to the celebration.

We also really appreciated the support from Sam and Kate on the room block. It was during the December holiday season but they were still very responsive and helped us settle down the room block fast.


Overall, we feel incredibly lucky to have had Falynn and her team supporting us. They made what could have been a stressful process feel easy and enjoyable! All our guests and us loved the wedding!

I loved Alison, who was our planner and worked with us from the very beginning—from helping us draft a budget to designing our dream wedding. I felt that the whole team were very detail oriented and Alison was very accessible, even though we were planning a destination wedding while working in China. Our wedding day was completely stress free, thanks to Sunshower. Alison had planned our wedding itinerary hour by hour, so neither of us had to worry about logistics. And when our an issue came up with our venue two months before our wedding, Kate and Alison were able to talk out a solution with them that made us all happy. Samantha and Kate were great! They have excellent relationships with many hotels (which was incredibly helpful for me since I grew up on the Hilo side of the island and am not familiar with any of the hotels in Kona). They explained how a wedding room block works and recommended hotels close to our wedding venue. Once I gave them our guest estimate and our short list of hotels, they went to work contacting the hotels for quotes and even asked about wheelchair accessibility (which was a very important consideration for me). And they negotiated an AMAZING rate with the hotel we ultimately chose!

Samantha and Kate were accommodating and very patient with me. I had so many questions and thoughts (so much so that I was definitely concerned that I was being a huge pain), but they were always kind and reassuring through the entire process.

We weren’t sure if we wanted to have our wedding on Big Island, but after our first call with Kate, it was clear that her team was invaluable and we were sure they were the team we wanted to work with.
