When I got in touch with Shining Time Wedding at the first time, I know nothing about wedding planning. Through all the communications with Rina, the lead planner at Shining Time, I can really say great things and how professional her team is. She is always ready to help and makes her available as soon as possible to listen to my thoughts and questions. The designer Shine got my vision right on the spot through the first design sketch. I was worried that my descriptions are too vague, but she nailed it! Their team was so attentive to every detail, and the wedding went smoothly while my husband and I were relaxed and enjoying the whole day! We got so many compliments on our decoration, especially they were amazed by the large handmade orchid at our ceremony, the shape, the color and the styling, everything was so perfect! All my guests had positive comments on their experience that day, and all of us had a great time! We are very fortunate and thankful to have met and worked with the Shining Time team on our dream wedding! Strongly recommended for sure!

We worked with Rina for planning and Shine for floral/design at Shining Time Wedding, and we were really happy with both of them.

Rina was very responsible, responsive, organized, and flexible throughout the whole planning process. She guided us through what we needed to work on at different stages, remembered our preferences, and helped us think through both the big decisions and all the small things we needed to prepare and bring to the venue. She came with us to the venue tour, catering tasting, and final walkthrough, even when it meant a long drive during rush hour, and she was always on time and prepared. She remembered what we had discussed and paid attention to all the little details along the way.

She was also very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to messages and emails. She worked well with our other vendors and gave us helpful suggestions whenever we had questions or weren’t sure what to do.

On the wedding day, Rina was calm, proactive, and very good at keeping things moving. There were a few times when other vendors did not fully follow what had been discussed during the walkthrough, but Rina remembered the details and made sure everything was still handled the way we had planned. When parts of the day ran longer than expected, she quietly kept us aware of the timing and adjusted things as needed without making us feel rushed. Later in the evening, when the venue needed our suite cleaned before the event ended, she reacted quickly and handled the cleanup and packing while we were still dancing and spending time with our guests. The cleanup at the end of the night was also very fast and thorough.

We also worked with Shine on the floral and overall design, and we were very happy with how everything turned out. We had a pretty specific vision, but it was also somewhat abstract and hard to explain because we couldn’t find many reference photos that really matched what we wanted. Shine understood the direction very quickly. She did a lot of research, created drafts to help us visualize the design, and went through several detailed rounds with us to make sure everything felt cohesive, from the overall look down to the smaller decor details.

We especially appreciated that she made thoughtful suggestions instead of just agreeing with everything we asked for. She was very good at balancing the design with our budget and helped adjust things in ways that made the final result better without losing the style we wanted. She was also responsive, patient, easy to work with, and clearly cared a lot about getting the details right. She even added a few thoughtful finishing touches on her own, which we really appreciated.

Everything was set up beautifully on the wedding day, and the flowers and decor looked the way we had planned. The bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony flowers, welcome table, and other details all felt cohesive and really brought the whole design together. Having planning and floral/design through the same company also made coordination much easier.

Their pricing is very reasonable for the level of service they provide in the DMV area. Overall, we were really happy with both Rina and Shine and would absolutely recommend them. They are reliable, responsive, detail-oriented, and clearly care a lot about making sure everything comes together the way their couples envisioned.

Shining Time Wedding was BY FAR the best vendor team we worked with for our wedding. We used them for full wedding planning, florals, and design. Our planner, Rina, was incredible from the very beginning. Even before we booked a venue, I knew choosing the right planner would be the most important decision for our wedding, and it was so important to find someone who understood my vision. The fact that they also excel at florals was an amazing bonus.

In the days leading up to the wedding, Rina did everything in her power to make sure everything all came together: helping coordinate vendors, even through tight time constraints and restirctions. I don't know how she did it, but she made it work!

Her floral and design proposal was absolutely perfect, even down to the Chinese/Vietnamese tea ceremony backdrop. We received SO many compliments on the florals throughout the entire day. It truly was the most beautiful wedding I could have imagined for myself, and I’m so grateful to Rina and the entire Shining Time Wedding team for bringing it to life.

Rina and her team are the most wonderful people to work with. She is so responsive to every email and text, and is the friendliest person ever. We had MANY vendors at our wedding, and also got married in a downtown space, and she coordinated everything between all our vendors seamlessly to make sure they were able to get everything they needed in and out of our venue.

I appreciated how she understood the importance of balancing the family photos, while making sure everything got completed on time, and she was very successful with keeping us on schedule. I also appreciated how she found ways to give my husband and I time to sit back and enjoy our time and food at our wedding. Rina very clearly knows what she is doing, and she is amazing at it. Her and her team truly put 110% into what they do, and it really reflects in their work. They made our wedding so easy and stress-free, and we recommend them to any bride who needs a coordinator!

Rina was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process. We had several Zoom calls leading up to the wedding, and I came to her with a lot of different ideas and inspiration photos. Somehow, she was able to see the common thread between everything I sent and thoughtfully create a cohesive theme that felt perfectly “us.” I was so impressed by her ability to take scattered ideas and turn them into a clear, beautiful vision.

She also did the floral design and killed it! The flowers were stunning, and friends and family are still commenting on how beautiful they were.

On the wedding day, I didn’t have to give her a single direction, she just handled everything. From coordinating vendors to keeping the timeline on track, she made sure everything ran smoothly so I could truly be present and enjoy the day.

An added bonus was that she speaks Mandarin, which meant she could communicate directly with my family without me having to translate. That alone took so much stress off my shoulders and allowed me to fully enjoy time with my loved ones.

We were so pleased with the work that Shining Time did for our wedding (both month-of-coordinator and flowers). The flowers were amazing - so beautiful! I just told Rina what my inspiration was (and sent her some photos of centerpieces from their website) and the result was wonderful! They looked like they were right out of an English garden! We did not want to spend too much on flowers and she kept everything within our budget, and she repurposed the large ceremony flowers into the reception venue. I’m so pleased that we went with her services. Her work as the month-of-coordinator was great too. She was really easy to work with and made the day go smoothly!
