We had our wedding and reception at the museum in April 2023 - it was the perfect location for our 100-guest event. We had the ceremony and dinner in the courtyard, with a tent (because of uncertain weather) and a very small dance floor. There was plenty of space for more tables if you have a larger event. We used the exhibit hall for the bar, the octagonal room for dancing, and the narrow gallery for the buffet. We used the library to get dressed and to store our things during the event. The entire space, both indoor and outdoor, was lovely and perfect for the event. Dan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and super helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

The Sandy Spring Museum was the perfect pick for our wedding! The venue was so beautiful and its layout was perfect to host a wedding. The venue has a courtyard, a hall area, and an octagon room. These three areas gave our wedding guests plenty of room to move about and enjoy outside and inside. Additionally, there is an amazing Quaker musuem that our wedding guests were free to visit.

We had wonderful event at the museum. Everyone from age 2 to 80+ had a great time indoors and outdoors. All of the museum staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back to host future events and celebrations. It is the perfect location for a 60-80 guest event. Our event was a catered retirement luncheon but that option was not available on the drop-down menu.

The Sandy Spring Museum is a lovely, small museum. The event coordinator was very helpful and gave me the names of caterers that had been there before and who turned out to be excellent. She also answered all my questions. The docent was wonderful, and they even had the gift shop open during the entire event.

Beautiful venue. Great location. Having a tent in the courtyard more than doubled the amount of people that the ballroom could hold.
