  Gorgeous venue and wonderful staff

  We had our wedding and reception at the museum in April 2023 - it was the perfect location for our 100-guest event. We had the ceremony and dinner in the courtyard, with a tent (because of uncertain weather) and a very small dance floor. There was plenty of space for more tables if you have a larger event. We used the exhibit hall for the bar, the octagonal room for dancing, and the narrow gallery for the buffet. We used the library to get dressed and to store our things during the event. The entire space, both indoor and outdoor, was lovely and perfect for the event. Dan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and super helpful. 10/10 would recommend!

  The Sandy Spring Museum was the perfect pick for our wedding! The venue was so beautiful and its layout was perfect to host a wedding. The venue has a courtyard, a hall area, and an octagon room. These three areas gave our wedding guests plenty of room to move about and enjoy outside and inside. Additionally, there is an amazing Quaker musuem that our wedding guests were free to visit.

  We had wonderful event at the museum. Everyone from age 2 to 80+ had a great time indoors and outdoors. All of the museum staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back to host future events and celebrations. It is the perfect location for a 60-80 guest event. Our event was a catered retirement luncheon but that option was not available on the drop-down menu.

  Absolutely perfect place to hold a bridal shower; actually any event! I would highly recommend The Sandy Spring Musuem. I received some may compliments about the venue. The staff was very helpful and always available if I had a quick question.

  I had over 50 people at my baby shower and the staff was incredibly reaponsive and helpful, even on the day of event. I was so happy with the museum, and I would definitely host another event there in the future.

  I had a wonderful experience working with Sandy Spring Museum. It's a beautiful venue, reasonably priced. Staff were very professional, helpful and flexible. The guests loved the setting and had a great time!

  The Sandy Spring Museum is a lovely, small museum. The event coordinator was very helpful and gave me the names of caterers that had been there before and who turned out to be excellent. She also answered all my questions. The docent was wonderful, and they even had the gift shop open during the entire event.

  Beautiful venue. Great location. Having a tent in the courtyard more than doubled the amount of people that the ballroom could hold.

  YES, our employees loved the building and the caterer for our company event. It was easily accessible from Montgomery and Howard counties. The caterer was agreeable, efficient and a joy to work with.
  The room was situated nicely and with the museum open, those who browsed, enjoyed that as well. It added a nice historical note to it. Also, because of the design and character of the building, a nice ambiance was evident. However, i would have loved to see more holiday/Christmas decorations. We would definitely have it there again, if able. Thank you for an enjoyable, event.
