Amazing Hidden Gem
Truly, though, the best part of having Gunston as our wedding venue was working with Nicole, who manages events at the venue. Nicole was a sweetheart and such a lovely person to work with. My husband and I had a long engagement AND had to have a COVID reschedule, so I had plenty of questions and changes over time. Nicole went above and beyond as a contact and resource to me throughout the time we were planning. She was always communicative, extremely flexible, and so so kind. It was a great experience, and I secretly wish I could work with Nicole more in the future! Definitely recommend.
Our only concern, is that we later found out from guests that some of the toilets were not working by the end of the evening. We'd recommend someone being on call to fix any facilities issues that arise.
Beautiful and Historic!
To go back to the planning, Nicole met with us several times in the course of our engagement, helped us figure out the best place to hold the various parts of our day (we did both our ceremony and reception on site), was incredibly responsive via email, and helped with set-up and breakdown of our wedding. We had our wedding ceremony outside under the big oak tree, cocktail reception in the courtyard, and dinner inside in the Ann Mason Room. The weather cooperated and we were able to have everything go as planned, but it was reassuring to know that there was a viable indoor option if we needed to move the ceremony inside.

A wonderful, historic and gracious location to have a wedding. Nothing disturbs your stay and you are in a very beautiful spot and in the richest tapestry of history in the country. Surrounded by nature, yet close at hand, Gunston Hall is a marvelous place for a wedding.
I cannot say enough about this incredibly gorgeous location! What a work of architecture! And the grounds are equally as stunning. This is the perfect place for the classic, joyful, and romantic bride to tie the knot with her Prince Charming!
Being on the property is like stepping back in time. As you drive up the long, tall tree lined driveway, you can see the mansion in the distance as the perfect backdrop. Walking around the property and the gardens, you truly feel as though you are in a place of historic significance. The visitor center also has a quaint ballroom for use!
