Sal Chavez, the Executive Baker and Proprietor of Sal Chavez Cakes has been baking in some capacity or another since he was 10 years old. Granted the early baking took place in an Easy Bake Oven, it was still delicious! He enjoyed baking so much he attended the California School of Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Program in 2003. He graduated Top of his Class in 2004 and brought his life long vision of opening a local hometown bakery in the High Desert to life. Cake Expectations opened in 2004 to great acclaim and his customers were always impressed! He sold the bakery in 2007 to figure out what his next career move would be, but his customers demanded he come back to baking. His new concept puts the customer first and helps them create a custom, delicious cake.

•The biggest cake we ever made was 6 ft tall, 10 tiers stacked!

•We did 27 Birthday cakes, and 5 wedding cakes in one weekend. It took 8 batches of buttercream to complete (96 lbs!)
