We did not use Roberta's as our venue but as our caterer, and the experience was beyond exemplary. They provided us with canapes, meat and cheese platter, salad, and our main course and coffee at the end (Stumptown). They brought their portable wood-fired oven to the venue and were rapidly cooking pizzas for our guests which were then brought to their tables. The pizzas came out extremely quickly and no one was left waiting.

The food was incredible. The canapes were creative, well made, and delicious. The salad was a huge surprise, it was easily one of our favorite items and was one we had picked more passingly with our main focus being on the pizza. The pizza itself was incredible which came as no surprise, it was either as good or slightly better than the pizza we had at the main Brooklyn location. I have been continuously receiving messages from friends and family complimenting us specifically on how good they thought the food was and how fun of a surprise pizza was as a main course. They also made additional pizzas for guests to take home again which was an unexpected bonus.

The staff was extremely attentive and professional and were able to cater to some slightly unorthodox requests (they served our ice cream cakes) and did an excellent job. The entire process from when we booked them to the day of was extremely smooth and we were in constant contact with the catering manager regarding our preferences. This was an extremely smooth experience and one I would choose again in an instant.

This is a review for Roberta's catering service, not their on-site wedding venue. Roberta’s catered our wedding last summer, and did an amazing job on the night of. The food was just as delicious as it is in their restaurant, and everything ran on time without a single hiccup.

That said, I’d like to note that they will not hold your hand during the planning process, so if you can’t handle some uncertainty, they might not be the best option for you. They don’t do official tastings, but said we could let them know when we were going to the restaurant so they could talk us through the catering menu. We went twice (and emailed in advance), and both times they had no idea who we were, and hadn’t prepared at all for our arrival. Our Roberta’s contact repeatedly forgot details we had discussed previously, and often took weeks (and multiple follow-ups) to respond to our emails.

Choosing Roberta’s did add significant stress to our wedding planning, since we didn’t feel we could trust them to handle the logistics themselves...but the end result was perfect so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
