Most of the wedding we do are right on the beach! You do NOT need a permit if it's north of Oregon Inlet. Once you get on Hatteras Island, you're on the Hatteras National Seashore, registered with the National Park Service, which charges a fee. Thanks to Coleman Shots for the picture!

CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming wedding! If you are still searching for a minister, let's talk! I started serving couples on the OBX back in 2010 and LOVE to help as they begin their new lives together. I strive to put bride and groom at ease in planning and going through their big day. My personal attention to you and love of serving people will shine through during our time together.

As an ordained minister, I see this as a great way to start your new life together on the right foot, planted on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Having God at the center of not just your wedding ceremony, but your lives, is crucial. I do non-denominational cermonies in a relaxed manner.

I take the spiritual element of your wedding seriously, but it is going to be a fun ride along the way! It is, after all, one of the best days of your life!

I look forward to hearing from you and having the chance to serve you on your very special occasion!

An amazing ceremony thanks to our amazing officiant!

Reverend Scott Williams was such an amazing officiant for our wedding! He spent time getting to know us prior to our wedding and found any way possible to support us. We could not have imagined our ceremony without him! He also helped file away the paperwork which was so helpful on the day of the wedding! Could not have asked for better!

OBX Vow Renewal

We are extremely blessed to have found Rev. Scott Williams again for our ten year vow renewal at Duck Chapel. He married us during Hurricane Joaquin ten years ago in a very special ceremony so we were thrilled he is still performing ceremonies. Rev. Scott made the process so easy for us since we live out of town. We corresponded through email and phone calls to tailor our renewal and give it personal touches. We are blessed to have him as a part of two of the most special days in our marriage. Thank you Rev. Scott!!!

The Perfect Ceremony!

Reverend Scott was absolutely phenomenal from day one! He was so kind, accomodating, and easy to work with. Our planning phone calls were a pleasure and our ceremony was GORGEOUS! He is a spectacular public speaker and so thoughtful. He also was extremely helpful when it came to completing our marriage license immediately so we could return it to the courthouse on our way out of town. I would recommend Reverend Scott to anyone planning an OBX wedding!

Great Ceremony

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding minister than Scott. from our very first meeting, it was clear that he truly cared about making our ceremony deeply, personal meaningful and unforgettable. Scott brought warm professionalism and undeniable sense of calm to the entire experience. He took the time to get to know us our story, our values and what we envisioned for our big day. Every word was intentional, heartfelt, and beautifully delivered so many of our guests commented on how powerful and moving the ceremony was there were tears, laughter, and moments of reflection, all perfectly balanced and beautifully paste. Scott has a true gift for capturing the essence of a couples love and translating it into a celebration that resonates with everyone in attendance we feel incredibly lucky to have had him by our side during such a special moment in our lives, Scott is simply exceptional

Flexible to our needs, very personable, and put us at ease on our big day!!

We could not be more thrilled to have Rev. Scott Williams perform and lead our wedding ceremony!! My husband and I were looking for someone on the east coast that’s faith aligned with ours, that was our top priority and we stumbled across Rev. Scott! He was quick to respond once we reached out, took time to get to know us as best as possible, and listened to what we wanted our ceremony to include and reflect. He is naturally a very easy going guy that made us feel 100% comfortable right away. He was very flexible as we changed some things last minute and he was more than happy to change things. It’s obvious that he enjoys his job and it shows. If you’re looking for someone reliable who will put you at ease on your big day and make you feel like you’ve known him for years, then Rev. Scott is your go to guy!!!

Rev. Scott Williams was so easy to work with and made this process so enjoyable! Coming from Pennsylvania down to the OBX we were kind of worried about being able to meet with vendors or communicate with them. We facetimed Scott to talk about our expectations for the wedding and he covered everything we wanted in the ceremony even though we did have a little rain! Thank you again!!

Wonderful wedding ceremony

Rev. Scott was amazing to work with. Caring and attentive from the start of the process to the end of the ceremony. He really cares about his clients, more than just performing a ceremony. He gave us the most wonderful experience, personalized and unique to us. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Rev. Scott, and feel so blessed that he the officiant who started off our marriage. We could not have made a more perfect choice. Thank you Rev. Scott!

Perfect Start to Our Life

Mr. Scott was referred to us by Nags Head Church, and we were incredibly happy that we found him. He was supportive and professional throughout the entire process, learning about us and relaying that information throughout our ceremony. He was also helpful as a pre-marriage counselor, giving us a book and talking us through the details. We couldn’t recommend him enough !
