As an LGBTQ couple, we needed to make sure that we hired vendors who were not just “OK” with our love, but were 100% accepting and affirming. I found Rachel and hired her to do our engagement photos after extensive research on photographers and videographers on WeddingWire, various directories and on Instagram. Rachel has an amazing way of capturing your emotions and not interfering with the natural reaction you have. We don’t like having our pictures taken, but we hardly even knew Rachel was with us when she took our photos at 5 AM on the beach. I also hired her for her beautiful videography edits and I do not regret it at all. It was probably the best decision of the entire wedding to have Rachel and her partner, Annie do photo and videography. I will probably update this review, when I have better words, but if you are looking for photos that capture the essence of your day, the feelings you have, the vibes, intimate, romantic, cozy, emotional… You need to hire her right now. We cried, watching our videos, and even some of the pictures. We consider Rachel and Annie to be friends now and they blended in with our friends and family so well. Could not recommend Rachel enough!! Hire her and you will be so happy!! Especially as an LGBTQ couple, she is safe and creates a comfortable environment for you to be yourself in. Definitely my favorite LGBTQ friendly photographer. I was the wedding planner for a wedding that Rachel filmed and recorded in February 2022. What a star! I already knew of Rachel's work to help make the wedding industry a more inclusive, accessible, diverse, and equitable place so I was really looking forward to working with her in-person. My husband and I reviewed over 30 videographer portfolios before being referred to Rachel by our photographer. We knew we wanted video of our wedding but everything we saw just was hitting what we had envisioned. We wanted someone who had an eye for design details and appreciated the beautiful surrounding as much as the intimate moments between us. We also wanted to make sure we caught special moments with our guests as well. Rachel from the start was so thoughtful and caring. We didn't have much to prep her with before our wedding because we trusted her vision completely!
