Services Offered
We've developed a documentary style that focuses on people and capturing the emotions of the day and telling the couple's story. We avoid wedding cliches, editing gimmicks and excessive use of slow-motion while aiming to produce beautiful, original films with high production values and quality audio. We don't set up shots, direct the couple or interfere. We try to be invisible and capture spontaneous moments. We film the ceremony with three cameras so we don’t miss anything. We provide two to three three camera operators for the entire day.
We also fly a drone during a small portion of the day to capture aerial images that provide sweeping, cinematic footage.
Our style has changed somewhat over the years. Our highlight films now are longer and include more interviews, like in this highlight film of a barn wedding in Scarborough. A couple of summers ago we made this highlight film from a wedding at a children's lakefront summer camp in New Hampshire. Our most recent work includes a wedding at the Ocean Gateway in Portland and a backyard wedding in Biddeford
We produce three films — a trailer, a highlight, and a full version.
The trailer is about two minutes and is edited for social media. Here's a trailer we made about a wedding on Chebeague Island. The highlight is from 8 to 15 minutes in length, The full-version shows the whole ceremony and the big events of the reception, like the toasts and special dances, in their entirety. The full version is typically 45 minutes to an hour in length, but it could be longer if the ceremony is long.
We offer a standard package for every wedding. We don't work by the hour. Rather, we start the day and end the day according to the wishes of the client. For most of our weddings, we shoot about 10 hours, so we can capture the narrative of the day as it unfolds. For each wedding, we spend 50 to 60 hours in the editing room.
Here's a digital wedding album that has three films: a trailer, highlight and long version. Here is an another album: https://vimeo.com/showcase/10552689
Here is a collection of some of our work. Here is our website.
Our Standard Package, with the three films, costs $3,700.
