My now husband and I were both stationed in Ohio throughout the wedding planning process, and our wedding was in Virginia, where my parents are. Anisha made the distance seem nonexistent, paid incredible attention to every detail- including details we had never even thought about even though we prided ourselves on our planning abilities. She not only helped to fill in the gaps in our planning process, but was so friendly and professional throughout the whole thing. She went out of her way to make sure she kept our parents in the loop and helped them feel heard, all while keeping our vision and dreams as her main goal while working to make our Hindu-Christian fusion wedding a beautiful success. We have no doubt that Anisha, and ODE, were absolutely meant to be part of our special day. We first contacted Anisha after a close friend recommended ODE to us. We had spoken to several other planners at this point and no one was clicking. Then came Anisha! We loved her instantly. She was positive, friendly, organized, and made us feel at ease. Prior to having a planner, we were managing booking vendors on our own. When we saw how we would be in good hands with Anisha, we quickly booked with ODE.

From day one, it was absolute perfection. Anisha guided us throughout our planning process, helping us lock in the remaining vendors that we needed. She had documents, checklists, and reminders that gradually ramped up as the wedding date got closer, but EVERYTHING was done well before the wedding day. We had absolutely nothing to worry about. She answered our questions within minutes whenever we reached out, and she was always quick to offer her insights when we were unsure of a decision. She was present for every vendor call that she was assisting us with. In addition to that, she utilized different times that she was in town to offer being present for walk throughs with our venue or other vendors. She carried herself with confidence and professionalism that made every meeting flow seamlessly.

The week of the wedding, Anisha flew into Houston and had a whole car trunk open and ready to take our boxes of ceremony and reception items (which she gave us checklists for!). She met with our parents, answered all of their questions, coordinated so many different groups of people involved in various ways in our wedding, and literally loved on us every step of the way. By the time the wedding day came, we felt like we had a big sister on our side more than a wedding coordinator. On the wedding day, Anisha along with Ashbey, Alicia, and Nethan, took every detail off our hands. All we had to do is wake up and follow the detailed schedule we had curated together. From helping us get ready to setting up flat lays and detail shots to keeping us on schedule to cheering us on to packing up ALL of our belongings at the end of the night--they literally did it all. It wasn't until after the wedding that we learned about the little things they went above and beyond in doing that we had no idea about!

This review is long. We could keep going. This was one of our very best decisions and we look back on our wedding day with so much joy. Thank you, ODE, and thank you so much to our big sister Anisha, for helping make our dream day even more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We love you!

Our wedding planner (Anisha and her team) were exceptional from start to finish, offering incredibly comprehensive and detailed planning that made the entire process feel effortless. They planned scheduled meetings with frequent reminders to complete tasks, ensuring that we were on track for our big day. The entire wedding day went by so smoothly that we didn’t have to think twice about anything. The team — Anisha, Monisha, Jennifer, and Elizabeth was simply incredible. They made sure every moment was perfect (including making sure Diya didn’t trip 😅).

Anisha and her team at Our Day Events were a key part in making our wedding one of the most amazing days of our lives. As a Mallu couple we were both excited and overwhelmed by all the traditions that surrounded our wedding. Our Day Events came in with the knowledge and expertise to help us feel supported and confident in all our wedding decisions. They went above and beyond to make sure that the day felt special to everyone involved. One of the greatest things we appreciated was ODE’s proactive approach to the wedding process. For example, our extended families were surprised that we had a plan in place for various events at the wedding (i.e. photos after service, velleke lighting, order of reception traditions, etc) because ODE had already talked us through our plan before our families even remembered. The planning process was extremely organized, after every meeting with Anisha we would receive a list of tasks to complete. Each task was the perfect level of complexity so we wouldn't get overwhelmed. We went with the Heart Package and even though the services for the package didn't fully start until 2-3 months before the wedding, we still felt supported by the ODE team during our entire wedding planning process. Anisha answered any questions we had as we called vendors and bought supplies leading up to the wedding.

Furthermore, ODE would consistently follow up with vendors throughout the month leading up to the wedding to make sure our vision came to light. To have the team interface with vendors through various issues helped us tremendously, especially when I (Jeremy) was trying to figure out how not to step on my soon to be wife’s feet during the first dance. It only happened once! During the wedding day we felt confident to enjoy our wedding day anxiety free because ODE had it handled. After the wedding we were bracing ourselves for the typical overly critical analysis that follows but were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelmingly positive accounts. Our friends and family have said the wedding was “beautiful and spectacular,” “I swear it was one of the best weddings I [have] ever been to!” “It had everything you could want, not one thing was missing.” We couldn’t have done it without Anisha and her Team at Our Day Events. Before we started wedding planning, we knew we’d need a coordinator to make sure we had a smooth planning process leading up to the day of. We also wanted a coordinator who understood our South Indian Christian culture and traditions, along with leadership and communication skills needed to manage everyone involved.
