Mount Fair Vineyard

This stunning venue in Crozet, Virginia is a must for couples planning a vineyard wedding. Everyone went out of the way to ensure our event was perfect. The site is exclusively available to you for the full weekend, the grounds are immaculately maintained with a charming greenhouse and beautiful gardens, the wine is delicious, and the Paddock House and Via Cottage provide charming and comfortable accommodations for the wedding party and newlyweds. The beauty of the mountains, fields, and flowers made the whole event more like a fairy tale than real life. This is the perfect place to get married! 

My husband and I got married at Mount Fair Vineyard 6/21/2025. Not only was the day beautiful, with amazing mountain back drops, but the planning staff was amazing! Our contact was Elaine who was SO helpful for the full 10 months before the wedding. She explained everything! Which was super helpful as this was all new to us. She kept us updated on changes, helped us with guest gifts, coordinated with my planner, and we really just felt like she had become part of the family. We were invited to their closed wine tastings, where the owners knew us and we really felt like they were invested in our day. The price point for the venue was super reasonable compared to other local wineries! We really enjoyed our day and our whole experience working with Elaine and we can't say enough good things about our experience! Thank you!!!!

Mount Fair is a beautiful setting in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and an incredible value. The rental runs Friday-Sunday and includes the Paddock House, which sleeps 6-8 comfortably, and a honeymoon cottage. We held the rehearsal dinner there Friday evening in addition to the wedding Saturday. The bridal party stayed in the Paddock House Friday and Saturday nights and the newly weds spent Saturday night in the honeymoon cottage. Elaine Ricca, the property manager, could not have been more professional, flexible, and pleasant to work with. We cannot imagine a more perfect place and setting for a wedding.

Working with Mount Fair Vineyard was a joy and a blessing. They were incredibly flexible while caring deeply for the property, giving us plenty of options for ceremony and reception sites and working with to coordinate walkthroughs while living out of state. The views of the surrounding mountains were extraordinary in mid-October and the beauty of the property spoke for itself, we barely even decorated! Elaine was fantastic to work with and made sure we had every resource she could offer to us given that we had to bring in almost everything through other vendors. I could go on and on about how high quality everything was, including the wine, but all I can say is that if I were to do it all over, I can't imagine getting married anywhere but Mount Fair Vineyard.

Mount Fair was the venue of our dreams! From our rehearsal dinner on the Paddock House porch to our wedding and reception in the gardens, Mount Fair was perfect from start to finish. The property speaks for itself; mountain views, rolling horse fields, greenhouse and gardens. Most Charlottesville venues have very limited rental hours, but Mount Fair offers full weekends. It was incredibly special to stay on the property with friends and family all weekend, and it made our wedding weekend feel so relaxed and intimate. Elaine, the venue coordinator, was an absolute delight and made the entire process so easy. She was enthusiastic and helpful despite my (many) questions, and tried to say "yes!" as often as possible. This allowed us to be more creative with our event layout, resulting in a wedding that felt very personal and unique. We could not have asked for a more seamless experience or a more beautiful venue -- our heartfelt thanks to Elaine and the team at Mount Fair.

A once in a lifetime venue. I will be dreaming about our wedding for the rest of my life. The gardens, the green house, the fields, the view-- all perfection! Aside from saying yes to my now husband, picking Mount Fair Farm was the next best decision I have made

Mount Fair Vineyard was a perfect location for our wedding weekend! We loved having the property for the whole weekend including lodging for us and our bridesmaids. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting and beautiful fall colors as the backdrop for where we said "I do." Elaine was fantastic in helping us coordinate, getting ideas for vendors and answering all of our questions! We can't thank Mount Fair and Elaine enough for making our day absolutely perfect!

I don't think mere words can capture the quality, beauty, and complete ambiance of peace that Mount Fair Vineyard was able to capture for our wedding.

What we received from Mount Fair Vineyard was, first off, the most endearing, engaging, kind, enthusiastic and supportive point of contact in Elaine that we could have imagined (scratch that, better than anyone we could have imagined). She was on top of every aspect of the process, and just a true pleasure to work with. Secondly, the owner, John, took us on our tour himself. He was kind, humble, easy-going and good natured. So much so that, after we decided the same day of our tour on booking the venue, he drove back to the venue to meet us with two bottles of wine, two jars of homemade honey from their apiary and two hardcover coffee table books about Mount Fair as a thank you. Remember, this is just the beginning of our booking process. When we had our wedding walk through and the wedding weekend itself, we were introduced to Mike, the property manager, who was a phenomenal onsite contact to have throughout the weekend. Mike was engaged, helpful and, in true Mount Fair fashion, on top of every aspect of preparing the property for the wedding. The morning of my wedding, I got to spend some time with Mike and he showed me around the property. That’s a guy you’d want to have a beer with for sure.

On top of all of this, when we booked the venue, we got it for the ENTIRE weekend. This meant setup could begin much earlier and it allowed the entire planning process onsite to be so much less stressful. No other weddings to be worried about. No other people to be worried about. An important point to call out about Mount Fair Vineyard is the simplified logistical experience that their property empowers. There’s a main house for the bride’s family to stay along with a small cottage on the other side of the property for the married couple the night of (or any other use). They have both an indoor and outdoor riding arena that can be transformed for any ideas you may have, a beautiful garden with a mini-greenhouse in the middle (we used this for cocktail hour and it was a HUGE hit), a log-cabin-style winery (which we used for our rehearsal dinner), and endless fields of beautiful grass overlooking the mountains that can be used for parking, tent setup, ceremony locations, etc. It’s an almost overwhelming amount of space that essentially serves as a blank, beautiful canvas on which to build your dream wedding. And I can’t stress enough how convenient it is to have a wedding venue where the entire bridal party can all get ready onsite (with the bride far away from the groom if you want), where the ceremony can take place, where attendees can walk 1min to the cocktail hour and then another 30 seconds to the reception, and where busses can easily drop off and park onsite, out of site.

I hit the character limit for this review so I had to cut a lot out. Read the full review on Google or WeddingWire, but I truly cannot express how incredible this venue is. They foster a culture of love, nature and beauty here. And you can tell they’re in it for the right reasons. There’s endless space, expansive mountain views, beautiful nighttime skies with no light pollution to corrupt your view of the stars. You just feel at peace here. I can definitively say that my wife and I will be returning to stay (when there aren’t weddings of course) just to try and re-live it again 😊

What an honor it was to plan a wedding for a wonderful couple at the beautiful Mount Fair Vineyard! It's certainly a venue that requires full planning given you're actually building a tent site, and need to consider additional factors like generator(s), restroom trailers, transportation, complex rain (and wind!) logistics, etc. but goodness gracious, it's incredibly worth it! The views are second to none, and the venue keeps the property so beautifully maintained and manicured! From the minute we stepped on property in 2021, we instantly knew this would be our wedding venue! The property is absolutely breathtaking and the whole Mount Fair team is amazing to work with!
