Working with Mount Fair Vineyard was a joy and a blessing. They were incredibly flexible while caring deeply for the property, giving us plenty of options for ceremony and reception sites and working with to coordinate walkthroughs while living out of state. The views of the surrounding mountains were extraordinary in mid-October and the beauty of the property spoke for itself, we barely even decorated! Elaine was fantastic to work with and made sure we had every resource she could offer to us given that we had to bring in almost everything through other vendors. I could go on and on about how high quality everything was, including the wine, but all I can say is that if I were to do it all over, I can't imagine getting married anywhere but Mount Fair Vineyard.

A once in a lifetime venue. I will be dreaming about our wedding for the rest of my life. The gardens, the green house, the fields, the view-- all perfection! Aside from saying yes to my now husband, picking Mount Fair Farm was the next best decision I have made

Mount Fair Vineyard was a perfect location for our wedding weekend! We loved having the property for the whole weekend including lodging for us and our bridesmaids. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting and beautiful fall colors as the backdrop for where we said "I do." Elaine was fantastic in helping us coordinate, getting ideas for vendors and answering all of our questions! We can't thank Mount Fair and Elaine enough for making our day absolutely perfect!

I don't think mere words can capture the quality, beauty, and complete ambiance of peace that Mount Fair Vineyard was able to capture for our wedding.

What we received from Mount Fair Vineyard was, first off, the most endearing, engaging, kind, enthusiastic and supportive point of contact in Elaine that we could have imagined (scratch that, better than anyone we could have imagined). She was on top of every aspect of the process, and just a true pleasure to work with. Secondly, the owner, John, took us on our tour himself. He was kind, humble, easy-going and good natured. So much so that, after we decided the same day of our tour on booking the venue, he drove back to the venue to meet us with two bottles of wine, two jars of homemade honey from their apiary and two hardcover coffee table books about Mount Fair as a thank you. Remember, this is just the beginning of our booking process. When we had our wedding walk through and the wedding weekend itself, we were introduced to Mike, the property manager, who was a phenomenal onsite contact to have throughout the weekend. Mike was engaged, helpful and, in true Mount Fair fashion, on top of every aspect of preparing the property for the wedding. The morning of my wedding, I got to spend some time with Mike and he showed me around the property. That’s a guy you’d want to have a beer with for sure.

On top of all of this, when we booked the venue, we got it for the ENTIRE weekend. This meant setup could begin much earlier and it allowed the entire planning process onsite to be so much less stressful. No other weddings to be worried about. No other people to be worried about. An important point to call out about Mount Fair Vineyard is the simplified logistical experience that their property empowers. There’s a main house for the bride’s family to stay along with a small cottage on the other side of the property for the married couple the night of (or any other use). They have both an indoor and outdoor riding arena that can be transformed for any ideas you may have, a beautiful garden with a mini-greenhouse in the middle (we used this for cocktail hour and it was a HUGE hit), a log-cabin-style winery (which we used for our rehearsal dinner), and endless fields of beautiful grass overlooking the mountains that can be used for parking, tent setup, ceremony locations, etc. It’s an almost overwhelming amount of space that essentially serves as a blank, beautiful canvas on which to build your dream wedding. And I can’t stress enough how convenient it is to have a wedding venue where the entire bridal party can all get ready onsite (with the bride far away from the groom if you want), where the ceremony can take place, where attendees can walk 1min to the cocktail hour and then another 30 seconds to the reception, and where busses can easily drop off and park onsite, out of site.

I hit the character limit for this review so I had to cut a lot out. Read the full review on Google or WeddingWire, but I truly cannot express how incredible this venue is. They foster a culture of love, nature and beauty here. And you can tell they’re in it for the right reasons. There’s endless space, expansive mountain views, beautiful nighttime skies with no light pollution to corrupt your view of the stars. You just feel at peace here. I can definitively say that my wife and I will be returning to stay (when there aren’t weddings of course) just to try and re-live it again 😊

What an honor it was to plan a wedding for a wonderful couple at the beautiful Mount Fair Vineyard! It's certainly a venue that requires full planning given you're actually building a tent site, and need to consider additional factors like generator(s), restroom trailers, transportation, complex rain (and wind!) logistics, etc. but goodness gracious, it's incredibly worth it! The views are second to none, and the venue keeps the property so beautifully maintained and manicured! If you're a client searching for a beautiful venue to host your celebration, look no further than Mount Fair, and be certain to hire a full service wedding planner to guide you through every step of the process! Elaine and her venue staff were a joy to work with and I look forward to being there again soon!

From the minute we stepped on property in 2021, we instantly knew this would be our wedding venue! The property is absolutely breathtaking and the whole Mount Fair team is amazing to work with! Elaine and team are responsive and extremally helpful when any questions came up. Mount Fair Vineyard includes a Professional Staff and Beautiful Venue! Great patio! Lovely gardens, Great selection of wine! Beautiful guest house for bridal party! Perfection!

The venue is beautiful and management are all great to work with.

Mount Fair Vineyard oversees the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains and with its open fields and landscaping is a fairy tale setting, one that we are so grateful to have found. Everyone associated with this idyllic place was readily available and willing to do what they could to make the wedding of my son and daughter-in law perfect. The Paddock house for the bridesmaids to get ready and the Wine Tasting Room for our Rehearsal Dinner and place for Groomsmen to dress met our every need. The Loft house for the Newlyweds was such a special house for them to spend the night after the reception. This venue was for our solitary use the entire Memorial weekend from Friday to Sunday which made it that much more enchanting and received consistent praise from all our guests. We selected a red wine from Mount Fair’s Vineyard which was fabulous and a guest favorite. Would highly recommend this venue as a perfect setting to have any event, particularly a blessed wedding. We feel fortunate to have found this fairytale farm in the middle of the Virginia mountains! We had the most positive and stress-free planning experience as a result of the great management team in place…not a detail left unattended! This property is absolutely gorgeous! The backdrop of the mountains can not be beet and the greenhouse reception area is so unique and beautiful.

I recently had the pleasure of working at Mount Fair Vineyard for my client's stunning June 2022 wedding. Elaine was so very responsive and accommodating while we went through the logistics of tent permits and also hosting the rehearsal dinner on site. Mike maintains a meticulous ground, with beautiful seasonal gardens and horse paddocks. I would love to recommend this to future couples and vendors when searching for that classic and elegant Charlottesville-area wedding!

We knew about Mount Fair through our riding community and then found them on wedding wire and was so excited to see the space and little did we know we would be married there! This venue is absolutely beautiful from the views and the maintenance of the grounds with good infrastructure throughout the property you can be creative with the space and do whatever you want! The Mount Fair team was incredible to work throughout the whole planning. We had the best weekend and Mount Fair made that possible.

We were lucky enough to have one of our clients choose Mount Fair for their wedding and we were blown away! The property and its views are top notch. The staff is welcoming, warm, super responsive and go the extra mile every time. My wife and I knew we wanted to have our wedding in Virginia for a long time, and Mount Fair Vineyard is the embodiment of all the reasons we love the state. This wedding venue abounds in natural beauty, surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque pastures. The greenhouse and patio were perfect for our cocktail hour, and the garden was immaculately groomed. We chose to have our wedding in October to take advantage of the spectacular fall colors and temperate climate, and our event turned out even better than we had hoped.
