The Morrison Clark Inn was an answer to our prayers providing an elegant yet hip venue, delicious food and exceptional service. If you are planning an intimate wedding look no further! My guests are still calling to tell me that my wedding was the best wedding they have ever been Morrison Clark is the reason why. My contacts were Bethany Milroy and Ciara Famble -- both provided outstanding service. We had a cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeuvres
and a sit down dinner for fifty. Our guests also enjoyed a reasonable room rate that encouraged in-town guests to also stay in the well appointed, recently renovated hotel rooms. My husband and I are still basking in the glow of Morrison Clark. If you are not planning an intimate wedding you may want to do so and if not they will figure out a way to accommodate you.

If you're looking for an elegant venue to host your wedding (or special event) in DC with top of the line service and food, look no further!

My husband and I could not have been happier with the attentiveness and service from the Morrison Clark staff in advance of and during our wedding. Without a doubt, the hotel will forever be a special place for us, and we can't sing its praises highly enough to make it a special place for others, too! We want to let everyone know just how much we appreciated the service, elegance, and professionalism that we received from the Morrison Clark team and facilities, and recognize a few key individuals who made our day the best of our lives.

Our wedding would not have been possible without the selflessness, coordination, can-do attitude, and attentiveness provided by the staff. Over the course of a full year, they helped us prepare every last detail for the wedding reception and ceremony. Their constant, 24/7 responsiveness (During late nights and holiday weekends) was key in easing our anxiety and stress as we prepared for the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the staff was the key that made the day perfect for us. Despite unexpected rain in the hour leading up to our outdoor ceremony, they stood by us and respected our wishes to have the ceremony in the courtyard, even though it required them to set up and breakdown the equipment multiple times. They were quick on their toes, thoughtful, and put our wishes above all else. What more could a bride and groom hope for?

Beyond that, we had a SEVEN course dinner (five seated, plus hor d'oeurves and dessert). Chef Russell went above and beyond our expectations and was instrumental in both designing and delivering the extraordinary menu, which our guests LOVED.

Overall, the Morrison Clark exceeded every one of our expectations for our wedding day. It's become a second home for us, and we can't say enough about how fantastic our experience has been!

Absolutely amazing!! Morrison-Clark specializes in smaller weddings (30-50ish)...they offer detailed professional full-service a their boutique historic inn. From planning until execution, the entire staff was highly professional, courteous and prompt in responding. They offer all-inclusive menu options which include open bar and access to the Veranda. Their Chef, Russell is fabulous. The price includes a full-on tasting for 4 people. Their menus are custom-tailed to fit your needs, provide quality alcohol (including good wine/craft beer), and professional-quality display. Entire staff will customize the event during set-up for anything you need (e.g. cigar bar, photo table, meal choices, table placards, sparkler sendoff, etc.) and work with your vendors. They also provide brunch options. And they also provide desert/wedding cake options. Finally, they have a cash-bar for after-hours (for those who need more drinks!). Overall, 5-stars is too low of a rating. Highly recommend!!!

The Morrison Clark is a perfect place for a wedding. The dining room can be configured just how you would like it for an intimate setting. We had a spring wedding there with 70 guests, and we were able to utilize the beautiful courtyard with Mike Flaherty's Dixieland band playing. This is a beautiful classy spot in the Heart of DC. Not only is the building great, the food is spectacular. We received many compliments on the food. We have returned there for dinner and will continue to return. The food and service is not compromised for the wedding; the dishes served at our wedding were selected from the same great dishes served at the restaurant. The best part of this venue is by far the Hotel/Restaurant manager. Patrick Grady is detail oriented and was highly responsive to our requests. We were able to add many personal touches to the venue with his help. He took care of all the little details and allowed us to relax and have a good time with a little painless upfront planning. We searched many venues throughout the city and by far this was the most unique with the best location (10 min walk to Verizon). In addition it had: inexpensive rooms for guests, great breakfast (french press coffee), inside outside options, best dishes, great honeymoon suite with gigantic balcony, great service, cleanest bathrooms, and nearby pre and after party options. Good luck in your search, and if you are lucky enough to stumble across this little gem, double congratulations!!!!

With less than a month to plan my wedding, I reached out to the Morrison Clark Inn as my reception venue and I was not disappointed. It was by far the most beautiful space in town and with an unbeatable amenities, service and price. My guests were really impressed with the Morrison Clark Inn and some have come up to me afterwards wanting to host their own events there. Bethany was incredible too. She helped ease my nerves and went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

My planning experience was probably different than most couples will experience going forward, but in the end, I would say it was a positive experience. When we were planning, the hotel was just re-opening after its renovation (it was still under construction and the chef had only just been hired when we signed our contract) and in the transition, communications broke down a bit, but in the end, everything was great. We had a few bumps along the way-our room block reservation link didn't work for weeks and front desk staff kept losing reservations, we had some missed communication on menu pricing, lack of communication at times-but I would attribute this all to the transition period as the hotel was re-opening and gearing back up. Overall, Erin Sterling and Bethany Milroy were fantastic-I had almost daily contact with them by the time we worked out the kinks (including several walk-throughs and drop-by visits since I live a few blocks away), we were able to customize our bar, the food was excellent, they let us put our guests in certain rooms so we didn't have strangers staring into our wedding in the courtyard, and the space is absolutely beautiful. Seriously, you can't beat the courtyard at night. Erin and Bethany were superstars on the day of the wedding (they did everything-coordinating, set-up, bartending, clearing tables, everything). They also put together a morning-after brunch for our guests to make up for all of the issues we had during the planning process! The venue pricing is excellent - especially to be in downtown DC in such a beautiful space! Definitely check out MCI if you're looking for a beautiful historic space in DC for a smaller wedding.

Morrison-Clark Inn is a gem of a beautiful place, right in the heart of Washington. Intimate and exquisite, and perfect in every detail, it is a great choice for a small to medium wedding, where you don't want to be rolling around like in a giant fishbowl. This is really a gorgeous place, where every detail has be meticulously thought about. The food is superb and the service could not be any better. I am always delighted when a couple asks me to officiate their wedding at Morrison-Clark Inn, because I know that they will be extremely pleased.
