We hired Moana Belle and started planning an elaborate destination wedding nine months before the COVID-19 crisis. We selected a place with special meaning to us, and proceeded to invest time and money as we worked with Lena to carefully curate a once-in-a-lifetime experience for 64 of our friends and family.

Throughout that time, Lena and Moana Belle were great. They understood our style and priorities. Their planning and personalized recommendations demonstrated a spot-on understanding of us, our venue, and of tasteful design. Their coordination with our venue and vendors was seamless. Their communication was well-balanced and organized. And as I later learned, Lena frequently went to bat for us behind the scenes.

As we and our guests packed our bags and began traveling half-way around the world, uncertainty percolated surrounding COVID-19. Lena helped us promptly consult with our venues, vendors, and guests, and to seek counsel from government authorities. It was the worst possible timing. Just one day later, and things would've likely been entirely different.

After us and most of our guests arrived in Hawaii, and after nine months of painstaking planning, panic began to grip the nation. Against a backdrop that shifted by the minute, we were forced to make impossible decisions. But Lena was there for us every second.

She stood by our side as vendors and venues were all over the board; their decision-making ran the gamut from thoughtful and interactive to frantic and opaque--often changing by the hour. An event we had all spent months meticulously planning was entirely upended. And a significant sum of money was at risk of being completely lost.

On the fly, Lena helped us plan an entirely new wedding--only to plan another one or two after that. I like to equate her work as that of a chess master crushing a game while the chessboard constantly moved and the pieces simultaneously transformed.

Lena poured every ounce of herself into saving our wedding. Her ingenuity and perseverance were beyond remarkable. In the end, our wedding was more beautiful and more meaningful than we could have possibly imagined. We will forever be in her debt.

Lena is incredibly sweet! She made time to meet with us a year prior to our wedding. She went with us to each venue and it was an experience of its own. She’s guided us in the right path when we couldn’t decide. She made the process of planning a destination wedding so simple. She made our dreams come true and for that we’re beyond grateful! It was like that.) ..... and it's all to the credit of Morgan and her team.

I myself ocasionally produce events in my work as a tech marketing VP, so I know how incredibly difficult big productions are to pull off. So much detail, so many stakeholders, budget push and pull from every direction, permits, vendors, bridezillas and groomzillas....

I used the day of coordination service (service started two months prior to the wedding) from Moana Events for my wedding. Morgan (owner) and Meaghan (event coordinator) were awesome throughout the whole process. They offered so many great suggestions such as table linens, chair vendors, timeline flow, nail places for the bride, and they even made the bride and groom chair signs for me! Planning a destination wedding was difficult for me since I live in Los Angeles and the wedding was in Honolulu. I am really glad that I chose Moana Events for my wedding because they really helped me coordinate with the venue, vendors, and last min requests such as ordering party favors and making sure the right color bows are on the favor. After searching high and low to find wedding coordinators who fit our style, budget, and who I felt a connection with, we finally ended up with Moana Events. It was the best decision and although my husband was somewhat wary because of the cost (in general of wedding coordination), he now says it was our best investment.

We were able to hire Moana for short term & day of coordination (our wedding was in Kauai) so our communication with them did not ramp up until then. At the same time, if I was really stuck on a particular area and having trouble finding a vendor, Morgan was quick to respond with a name. All communication was extremely professional (occasionally, almost overly so) and completely opposite of what I had heard of with "Hawaiian" time!

Although I was feeling a bit apprehensive before the wedding, staring with our rehearsal showed me why Moana was such a great team of folks. From the moment I actually met her, Morgan settled my nerves and made me feel like she was entirely present with me. She was warm, friendly and incredibly organized. I know my family is a little bit crazy but she did a great job settling their nerves as well and providing wonderful customer service.

When we arrived to cocktail hour, it blew my mind how perfectly they had read my mind. After planning a wedding long distance for a year, I just kind of shoved all my decorations at them and said, "Here you go!" Everything was decorated beautifully and I could've cried tears of joy with how wonderfully it all worked out. During the reception, Morgan and Amber were constantly buzzing around, making sure everything was ready to go (I'm assuming) and make sure the bride & groom were happy. I was never without a drink, a smile, and never had to think about anything except having fun!

I'm getting a bit emotional looking back as we are so grateful for such a heartfelt, wonderful job Morgan and Amber did the day of our wedding. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I have known Morgan personally for years, and have seen many of the stunning events she and her team have put together, so when it was time to choose a wedding planner for my own wedding on Kauai, Moana Events was the obvious choice. I wanted to do the majority of the planning, and chose the option of having Moana Events step in and take over the planning and logistics a month prior to the wedding.

From the moment that I booked Moana Events to the post-wedding follow up and everything in between, Morgan and her team were responsive, prompt, professional, thoughtful, informative and extremely knowledgeable. Working with Morgan and Amber at Moana Events was, by far, the BEST decision we made for our wedding! I don’t even know where to begin in expressing my gratitude to them. They were organized, professional, detailed, efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating.

Leading up to the wedding, they provided excellent vendor suggestions and handled all communication with them. We could have easily researched and chosen our own list of vendors, but it was the relationships, knowledge and experience that Moana Events has with so many vendors throughout the island, that made our event seamless. They attended vendor meetings with us, provided timelines and contact sheets to our wedding party and vendors, and they coordinated our rehearsal with LOTS of patience :)

Having been an event coordinator myself, the ideas and visions for the design of our wedding spanned a very wide range, and not only did Morgan pull everything together into a cohesive design for us, but she truly made all of our dreams become reality. There were no ideas too big for them to handle.

Day-of, they treated us like royalty, bringing us our meals while guests perused the food stations, always keeping our glasses full, bringing me lipgloss during SO many photos (even though it sounds silly- girls you’ll appreciate this!), and they even delivered a to-go box of food to our hotel room. It’s an endless list of amazing acts. They anticipated every last detail before anything became an issue, and if there were any glitches (which I’m still not even aware of today) they skillfully made things flawless to us and our guests.

They were there for us EVERY step of the way, and we could not have asked for a better experience!
