With the “MOH for Hire” service, Louise and her team met with us regularly, asked us a ton of questions, were very accessible throughout the planning process, and took over all of the logistics and vendor conversations one month out from our wedding day. This last piece was truly amazing. It allowed us to focus on the fun stuff in the lead up to our wedding. Lousie and the team at LLW also have a great reputation and strong relationships with so many vendors on the island. Each time we hired a new vendor, they were reassured to find out that Louise was our coordinator. This made planning so much easier and generally put us and everyone else at ease. Louise and her team also have an incredible blog with posts that answer just about every question you might have. In fact, we found the blog to be so helpful that we told friends who were planning their weddings to consult it. Louise prepared us for everything, including everything outside our control, so we could focus on the things that mattered most. Finally, our wedding was professionally staffed (even our guests commented on how much they loved the staff), which allowed everyone to fully enjoy themselves.

On LLW’s floral services, our florals were stunning. In full transparency, we were nervous about going with LLW for florals when they are most well known for planning, but we wholeheartedly recommend also hiring them for florals. We were focused on the florals as an important aspect of the wedding and we accordingly had a lot of different ideas that spanned a variety of design styles. LLW iterated with us on the design and we landed on something that we were really happy with. But even then with super helpful and detailed mockups in hand, there was no way to know exactly what everything would look like. In the end, our florals were better than anything we’ve seen online or at other weddings we’ve attended. We loved them so much that we wanted to take them all home with us.

On top of it all, Louise and the whole team are truly lovely people. Everyone was always kind and patient, we could count on them to help steer us in the right direction and be clear about where things fit into our budget. They were also super accommodating and when our work schedules got crazy, they adjusted our timeline without missing a beat. Over time, we grew to actually look forward to our meetings, which always made us feel better.

My husband Jon and I just got married this past September, and we chose Louise as our event planner. As a former event planner myself, I know the sign of a truly phenomenal planner is when things inevitably go wrong during any event, the planner handles it behind the scenes and the client is never made aware of it. That's what happened in this case. I truly felt like I was able to enjoy every single second of my wedding from start to finish. Another huge thing I noticed was that Louise and her team anticipated problems before they even happened on the event day, and those are the people you want in your corner on your special day. My husband and I recently had the most breathtaking, joy-filled dream wedding at Paliku Gardens—made possible entirely by Louise and her phenomenal team at LLW. We chose the “maid of honor for hire” package, and let me tell you: WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Initially, we didn’t think we needed a planner. My husband grew up on Oahu (we currently live on the main land) and still has family on the island, so we assumed local familiarity would be enough. Spoiler: it wasn’t. Paliku Gardens, while stunning, provides little beyond tables and chairs and requires a day-of coordinator. Also, there were so many vendors we’d need to coordinate with and items we’d need to rent. It suddenly dawned on us how much risk was involved in planning an event for over a 100 people in a state that we didn’t live in thousands of miles away. Before long, we were buried in logistics—hotel blocks, welcome party venues, vendors, design decisions—the works.

Thus, we decided we needed help. We interviewed several planners, all impressive, but Louise stood out immediately. From our first consultation, she was refreshingly honest about costs and completely transparent in her guidance. When we first decided on a destination wedding in Hawaii, Louise was the first wedding planner we interviewed. Love Letter Weddings review:

My husband and I just recently married at Aulani in Hawai’i with Love Letter as our floral vendor. The process was fairly straightforward and easy. After we selected Love Letter as our vendor, we were immediately connected with Makana. We were asked to fill out a questionnaire that would give Love Letter an idea of what our price range was and what we were looking for.

After we submitted the form, Makana and the team provided us with a very helpful visual guide proposal with multiple price options so we had a general idea of what we wanted, colors, and types of flowers. We then had a zoom call with Makana and they walked us through more of the proposal and to answer any questions we had.

We ended up going with local, tropical florals with a lot of greenery: Lei’s for ourselves and our wedding party, flower crowns for the flower girls, a beautiful floral arrangement for the alter, petals in the aisle way with the mickey mouse design, bud vases for the cocktail hour, a lovely flower arrangement for our memorial table, and the most amazing floral arrangements for our ballroom. Makana provided their expertise as well of staggering tall and short arrangements on the various tables to give it dimension vs. everything looking really flat. They also offered us some additional options such as repurposing the floral on the alter for various other decorations, including our sweethearts table.

Many of our guests were awestruck with how amazing all the floral arrangements turned out and they looked amazing in our photos. We also loved the additional Disney magic of including some hidden mickeys into the floral arrangements. Day of the wedding, we were able to catch Makana and their team setting up the floral arrangements as we checked in the morning. Makana also coordinated directly with our Disney wedding lead and delivered our beautiful leis so we could wear them for our family photos.

We love all the hard work and detail that Makana and the Love Letter team did for our wedding and it really put the extra aloha look and feel to our big day. Mahalo to Makana and the Love Letter team!

Louise and team are incredible. Do not hesitate to hire them. They made our celebration everything it was and more. I didn't once have to worry about my vision coming to life or if there was any hiccups. She made me feel everything was under control for the weeks leading up to it and the day of. She is worth every penny and we can't recommend her enough. It should also be considered that she allows you to borrow many of her items that help bring down your costs. She also allowed us to send items to her office for the wedding. These things are priceless. She is amazing and so professional. We couldn't have had the celebration we did without her and the team.
