Hi! I'm Liz Caruana, award winning San Francisco candid documentary wedding photographer.

I’m born and raised in Toronto Canada and moved to San Francisco in September 2004. I’m fluent in French as I was educated in the French Immersion system from the age of 4 to 18 and feel that gives me a unique and broad perspective on how I consider life, photography and art. I love to spend time outside running on the hills of Marin or on the city streets. I’ve coached runners for the past four years for the San Francisco Marathon. I married my husband Paul at a tiny vineyard in Sonoma with just 25 of our closest friends and family. Nothing is more important to me than quality time with those I love and value immensely our weekly Sunday morning walks with our sweet little boston terrier Maui along Crissy Field Beach, as well as our trips home to see the family.

My career in story telling began in 2001 with celebrities, behind the camera of feature films and transitioned to real stories of couples on their wedding day. My approach is fun, candid, and relaxed as I capture true emotion in a photojournalistic style. I know exactly how to make you look stunning effortlessly, so that years down the road you'll remember with fondness all the special moments of your wedding day. After capturing hundreds of once in a lifetime moments, I edit down to only the best photos, color correct, and create a private web gallery for print selection and custom album design.
