Sarah is incredibly professional and friendly. She showed up early and was prepared before we even got there. Once there, she knew which parts of city hall had the best lighting and were less crowded. Once the shooting started, everything felt natural. The photos came back pretty quickly! All of your questions will be answered because her communication skills are excellent. It's not just Sarah either! She has wonderful associate photographers and videographers as well as a great editing team. The product we got was wonderful and we look at our photos and videos everyday.

If you are looking for the best photographer in the business look no further! Sarah and her team made our day peaceful and care free knowing that we would have beautiful memories to look back on forever! Even with unexpected downpour Sarah had clear umbrellas ready to make sure we captured all the moments that we has discussed! From the first call Sarah walked us through the whole day, helping us pick the right package for our event, and made sure she had a clear vision of what we wanted and created a timeline with us so that we would know how the day would work leaving no question unanswered! She even kept our 18 month old flower girls attention in all of our pictures while being 8 months pregnant herself on our wedding day! You would never have known except for her belly because she gave us her undivided attention and energy through the whole event even until all of the guest were on the dance floor at the end of the night! We could not be more thankful to have has Sarah and her team!

TLDR: Sarah Fischback photography was perfect for our wedding! She worked with us every step of the way, had contingency plans and made our wedding day perfect. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs a photographer on one of the most important days ever! I don’t think you can go wrong hiring Sarah and her crew, they are fantastic!

Why/what we chose: We found Sarah and booked her about a year out from our wedding which was in May 2024. We wanted someone who was local, with a great portfolio, and wasn’t a chain with multiple sites and a huge staff. She was flexible with the contract as we decided what we did and didn’t want and in the end we came up with something that wasn’t exactly preset. We decided for 1 photographer for 8 hours, 1 photographer for 6 hours and 1 videographer for 6 hours with an 8-10 min video of the day, plus a hard drive of all pictures and footage.

Leading up: We made our payments in 3 installments over that year. Sarah sent us a form which laid out preferences for the event and shots we wanted. Also we got a form to discuss the film expectations and choose some music style that we wanted for the video. About 1 month before the wedding we had a phone call with Sarah directly to discuss what the schedule of the day looked like and what sort of shots we wanted and didn’t want. She answered every question we had and took great notes on a spreadsheet that she shared with us. She also told us that she was pregnant and would be due sometime soon after our wedding, but she would have the second photographer stay longer to help out at no charge to us.

The only problem (but it worked out for us): A week before the wedding Sarah texted us that she had gone into labor. This could easily have been one of those stressful last minute wedding issues, but she had an organized, thorough, and thoughtful contingency plan. She had her secondary photographer become the primary, and had another individual as her secondary. She filled them in on the plans of the day and everything was still a go! And Sarah would still do all the editing of our photos. It was a bummer we wouldn’t have Sarah there, but given how everything had gone so far we trusted her and hoped for the best!

Wedding day: The bridal party was met by Sara Fischer (this was our new primary) at a nearby hotel right on time and she got all the getting ready shots we could have asked for! Sean (secondary photographer) arrived with Jose (videographer) and they started to get shots of the venue and groomsmen getting ready. They talked with the groom who showed them all the different angles for the shots that they wanted and made sure they had everything they needed. The ceremony started and they just sort of blended in with the crowd, it was great! We didn’t have a wedding planner for making sure we were on time but the photographers helped keep us on time (not there job but super helpful) and we took them to different places we wanted to get photos at our venue. The reception went really well too! They worked hard and I hope I gave them a break to have some food as the day really got away from me! One of the other great things was I had a film camera and wanted some film photos and Sean took a bunch with it for me and I really appreciated that (I bought the film, developed, and scanned them but Sarah did edit some of them). Sara, Sean, and Jose were absolutely delightful people to have at the wedding and seemed truly happy to be there.

Photo reveal: About 2 weeks after the ceremony we got 8 sneak peaks and gave some feedback on coloring and lighting preferences but they were really amazing! 8 weeks after the ceremony we got our photos! I honestly love every single photo they took! Absolutely no duds, they are so incredible! Our video was 9 minutes long and beautiful! It is amazing how I don’t remember seeing them take most of the photos, maybe we are just photogenic but they all looked absolutely beautiful!

Final thoughts: I cannot recommend Sarah Fischback enough. She did so much for us and made our day very special. I know the photographer is one of the most expensive parts of the wedding, but Sarah far exceeded my expectations and it was well worth it for all of their great work!

Sarah was absolutely incredible to work with. She was able to get almost all the shots that we sent inspiration photos for, and the only one she wasn't able to get was through no fault of her own. She also captured all those little moments and candid shots that you couldn't plan for or request, but that are so special and some of my favorite from the day!
