LBD is amazing!! I got married at The Van Landingham Estate in Charlotte, NC and hired Laura for Day of Coordination + Event Management and we truly couldn’t have done the day without her. Laura was extremely helpful, communicative, and organized. Everything went flawlessly for our wedding day and I give all the credit to Laura! Hire her, you won’t regret it!! 👰🏻‍♀️🤍

When I hired Misti and LBD Events, I was from OH, living in TX, and wanting to get married in NC. I thought I was going to be flying back and forth, driving my fiance crazy with details, and fully expected to be completely stressed the entire time. NONE of that was the case thanks to Misti. I flew to NC once before the wedding to meet with vendors (which she fully set up and had a timeline ready for me), she handled every single detail leading up to and the day of the wedding. and I was never stressed. I truly got to be in the moment and present the day of my wedding and if anything went wrong, I still don't know about it to this day because she handled it. I also sent Misti inspiration pictures and we talked about my vision, she designed and brought my dream to life without me having to lift a finger that day of the wedding. It was magical and to this day, I would not change a thing thanks to her. She has to best knowledge of vendors in NC and can help you make planning and decision making fun and enjoyable. I 1000% recommend hiring her as your wedding planner!

It's impossible to find a more conscientious wedding planner than Misty! She is direct with brides and vendors and does everything in her power to deliver the best experience for everyone involved. Her attention to detail is impeccable, and she addresses challenges head-on. True character is revealed when things don't go as planned; Misty shines during these moments!

If I could give 10 stars to Misti and her team, I would. Planning for your big day can be stressful, even when you tell yourself "I will NOT stress about this". It's inevitable. You over analyze the little things, forget the details for the BIG things, and at the end of it all you feel like you haven't accomplished much of anything.

None of that was the case for me thanks to Misti. I was able to focus on the fun parts of planning and she took care of all the things I needed. She coordinated with all of my vendors to make sure our wedding day was nothing short of magical. I truly don't know what I would have done without her and her amazing staff. She kept my timeline organized and even wrangled the children in the wedding party incredibly well! My whole family still talks about how smooth everything went. I was able to focus on marrying my best friend and enjoying the evening with friends and family. I can't ever thank her enough for everything.

If you're thinking of not hiring a planner - don't. If you're considering hiring LBD - DO!

I hired LBD initially for day of event coordination for my wedding and later decided to go with LBD for my rentals (tablecloths, chair covers, etc). I am so happy that I did....one of the best decisions I made!! Misti and her team were very professional and helpful. I had a large wedding and the venue did not allow much time for setting up...Misti and her team were amazing at setting the room. Not only did they do a beautiful job, but they were efficient and flexible. They also did a great job tearing down and helping clean up. As for the day of event coordination, Misti did an excellent job and I didn't have to worry about a thing! It was a seamless event! She was helpful with dealing with the vendors and put me at ease in what could have been a stressful time. I would highly recommend LBD for anyone planning a wedding!

Misti put us at ease on our wedding day. She handled everything, including meetings before the big day that we were unable to attend because we live out of state. I would highly recommend LBD for your wedding! No question. She's a rock star!

I am so glad that I decided to hire Little Black Dress Events for my day of coordination and set-up/tear-down for my wedding and reception. The only mistake I made was not hiring them sooner. I spent every day clear up until hiring LBD stressing about the wedding and wondering if it was going to turn out the way I wanted it to. I know that if I would have hired LBD sooner I wouldn't have had to worry about any of that. The day I hired LBD all of my stress disappeared. Misti made sure I had no worries about anything. My wedding day was perfect. To my knowledge there wasn't a single mistake made and I owe that all to Misti, Bailey and Devon. They really are AMAZING!!!!! If you think you don't have room in your budget for a wedding planner my advice would be to MAKE ROOM. It is worth every single penny to be able to relax on your wedding day and be worry free. Misti is a maestro at conducting weddings. As wedding coordinator, everything went as planned and flowed nicely. She and her wonderful team were super easy to work with and understanding of our needs. We didn't have to worry about a thing all wedding weekend because we knew we were in the best of hands. She also knows all the vendors in the area and the vendors respect her like no other. For instance, we were able to have special decorations at our wedding venue never before done because she has such a great relationship with the venue manager to let us do it. Had we had another wedding planner we would have been much more limited. Misti was also great because she was never pushy and always understanding. The bride is an event planner and so we thought we could do many things remotely, but we are so happy that we hired Misti to help us out. In other words, she is of incredible value. Also, she knows how to work well with people who are a bit OCD (that would be me) about getting all the details just right and have a hard time hearing the words "not possible." She was very honest about what was possible, but was also willing to discuss creative solutions. She was able to make so many things possible. Her combination of knowledge and flexibility really make her unique. I could go on and on about how professional and pleasurable Misti was to work with, but I'll keep this short and say get her before she gets booked.

    Hello my name is Caroline Seckman. I was married June 30, 2012, Little Black Dress Events was our wedding coordinator. I had just moved to Parkersburg and had no idea where to begin to start for planning this wedding. I was online looking up wedding coordinators and found them, I met with Misti and knew she was perfect for us. Whether  it was a small question or a major one she was there to listen or find out the answer for me, no matter how difficult it was. She was extremely personable and was not just a coordinator but seemed like family. Throughout the wedding process my brothers wife was pregnant, when she had my niece Misti called my mother to congratulate her on becoming a grandmother. Not many people would have done this, it truly ment a lot to us and made us feel not just like clients but friends.
     The night of my rehearsal the giant storm hit that knocked out power for weeks. So when we woke up the day of our wedding we still didn't have power. I can honestly say I did not cry or freak out, I was positive Misti would make it wonderful. I went through a day that I don't know if I could have gone through without her. I was told by a certain time the food would be thrown out but I was ok with that I was marrying my best friend and Misti said that's all that matters. I didn't have the best of phone service so we were texting and calling each other all day, the last time I spoke to her before seeing her she said don't worry I will figure something out. Misti had noticed the building across the street had a Pepsi machine and it was lit up! Little Black Dress Events had to move the entire wedding that they had spent putting together the day before across the street in less then 3 hours. She was determined to have my reception, I think most people would have given up, but she didn't, she did everything in her power.
   

I cannot say enough great things about Little Black Dress Events and its extraordinary mastermind, Misti Sims! Going into the wedding planning process, I wasn't even sure that we really "needed" a wedding planner -- I was a pretty easygoing bride who wasn't overly concerned with all the little details. Knowing what I know now, I can't imagine planning our big day without Misti's help! From vendors to food tastings and venue layout to decorations, Misti was professional, well organized and committed to helping my fiance and I put together our perfect event. From the beginning, she was on board with planning an unconventional and creative wedding that was very "us" while still helping us stay within our budget. She went above and beyond my expectations, always with patience and a smile. She was at times surrogate sister, stylist, personal assistant and therapist. The very few times I felt stressed in the planning, talking to Misti always turned that stress into excitement!

Last but not least, I truly felt like Misti cared about our wedding as much as we did. I'm so glad we DID decide to go with a wedding planner and even more thankful that we went with LBD!
