Hospitality runs in Gabi’s blood - she was born and raised in Germany and by the age of 11 was already working in the kitchen at her Aunt’s restaurants. After a number of years working in the family business Gabi began her formal professional career at the Hotel Dorint in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Looking for a change of scenery, she set off to Namibia to work as a house supervisor and chef at a game resort (and even worked on a hunting farm that only had enough electricity for 2 hours a day!) She then went to work in the Canary Islands off the coast of Northwest Africa in hotel operations and as a tour guide for the Isla La Palma. A few years later Gabi jetted back to mainland Europe and landed in Spain where she owned a restaurant near the port of Empuriabrava in Catalonia. Finally, she headed stateside to Chicago where she had started working with the Spanish Embassy on a two-year contract with the plan to move to Argentina upon completion. But within her first year here, she fell in love with Chicago (and has yet to visit Argentina.) While in the Windy City Gabi worked with a wide variety of renowned restaurants and catering companies before heading to LM. When not working, Gabi can be found cooking for friends and family, traveling, scuba diving, or fueling her flamingo obsession. Her dream is to one day own a small B&B on a beach or island.

Mary has been working 15+ years in the events industry, coordinating gatherings both large and small for a variety of clients. She began her career with The Peggy Notebart Nature Museum in both Operations and Special Events before starting with LM in 2015. Upon coming to LM, Mary worked directly with Nicole to help reintroduce Lacuna Lofts to the market after we took over the space. Mary credits her love of food to finding her path in catering, which she feels is the perfect marriage of venue sales and culinary arts. Finding ways to be environmentally friendly in her role is also very important to Mary and she is a member of the Green Initiatives Team in addition to being a certified Green Wedding Planner! When Mary isn’t working, you can find her spending time at her nearest Barnes & Noble, cooking new recipes, watching anime and k-dramas, traveling, and supporting Heifer International and other organizations that donate to schools, temples, and the elderly in Thailand to support her mother’s roots.

Cristina is thirlled to be a part of LM Catering! She comes from a large background in hospitality such as her past positions like Director of Operations & Marketing at Tatas Kitchen & Social and Catering Supervisor at Harry Caray's. When Cristina isn’t at work, she enjoys spending her free time making videos on her brand new TikTok account about her love of food, people, and music. Check out her videos on Tik Tok at @Tinas_corner_vlog!
