Jessalyn Meehan Films was recommended to my husband and I from a friend and she definitely did not disappoint! We are not from the Albany area so a lot of our vendors came from recommendations from family and friends. Jessalyn was such an incredible person to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was willing to hop on a call whenever we had a question or needed to talk things through and she was always super responsive through email. Top notch communication is so important with planning a wedding and Jessalyn made it so smooth. On the day of our wedding, Jessalyn and her 2nd shooter Jesse were on point and made us all feel so comfortable. They talked us through the whole process and made it fun and special for us on our wedding day! We didn't feel the need to "act" and could just be ourselves and enjoy the day while they were filming behind the scenes. Jessalyn and her team were incredible! Communication was always clear, prompt, and professional. They were understanding and accommodating too when we decided at the last minute to postpone our wedding due to an unexpected Covid surge. On the day of, they arrived on time, rolled with all of the happenings of the day, and caught beautiful moments that we never would have been able to see otherwise. They took our ideas and made magic happen! From an outfit change to a champagne explosion, they were great sports! Our films are exceptional! I’ve watched the highlight film countless times (no shame here! It’s great!), and my new husband and I plan on watching our full day film every year on our anniversary. My entire family is truly so blown away by the footage and videos put together by Jess. She is absolutely amazing at what she does, and you would really be missing out if you do not have her shooting your wedding. My husband and I were extremely camera shy, and she still put together a highlight reel and a full day video that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. There honestly are not enough words to express how incredible Jessalyn and her work is. My husband and I moved our wedding up by three months and we heard about Jessalyn through another videographer. To say that it was the best recommendation ever would be an understatement! Before the wedding, Jessalyn answered any questions that I had, even if they had nothing to do with videography. On the day of the wedding, we barely even knew that she was there! Somehow, as a one-woman team, she perfectly caught every angle of every moment. She even brings her drone with her! This was a must have for us, as our wedding was on my family’s property upstate. As promised, the day after the wedding, we got a beautiful, edited video of our full ceremony. This was so special to be able to send to friends and family that couldn’t make it, since we had to cut down our guest list down significantly.

Over the next month and a half, Jessalyn would post teasers on her Instagram and Facebook page that gave us glimpses of how unbelievable our video would be. Not even two months after our wedding, we got our wedding highlight film. Again, I genuinely don’t have words. Jessalyn didn’t only capture video clips from our wedding day, she captured the emotions from it as well. It was funny, exciting, emotional, and just perfect in every way. We still get goosebumps every time we watch it! Additionally, Jessalyn sends out an album that has the teasers she posted on Instagram/Facebook, the highlight film, and about an hour-long feature film that includes the speeches, dances, first look, etc.

Basically: Jessalyn will be the BEST vendor that you hire for your wedding, hands down. Don’t think twice and just book her!
