What an incrediable venue and hidden gem in the Washington, DC metro area! I am so happy to have held both our ceremony and reception at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum! The barn pavillion is just perfect! Rustic, timeless, classic and gorgeous! Be ready to DIY everything from set-up, tear down to clean-up, but if you're the couple who likes that sort of thing, or has a planner who is down for heavy lifting, this is such an amazing venue! The rental price is so affordable and it's really a wonderful blank canvas to decorate as little or as much as you like! There are outdoor options too, and you really feel as though you have this giant park all to yourselves! The venue itself has tables, benches, wine barrels and chairs for rent, so it's really a one stop shop if you want it to be. We used the picnic benches for the ceremony and the wine barrels for cocktail tables and a bar. It was just beautiful. I've never visitied the park and it not be gorgeous out! Michele was easy to work with and was able to convince Mother Nature to give us a beautiful 4th of July weekend with no humidity and slight breeze for the weddding! I'd recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for a rustic barn setting in the area. Loved it!Sent on 07/18/2014

Jefferson Patterson Park was the perfect wedding venue for us. Michele Parlett, the coordinator at the park, was great to work with and very flexible. I couldn't be happier with how things went!Sent on 10/02/2013

We absolutely loved Jefferson Patterson Park. Michele was very clear about the rules and regulations at the park, which made everything easier as our expectations were set in advance. JPP has rules and regulations just like any venue, but they happen to be a bit more strict, and understandably so! This is a state park, not a private organization. You pay a very small fee to use this venue, and its gorgeous. The fee is small because you are just paying for the venue - no on-site support, no catering, no tent, which is totally fine if you are a bride looking for something more DIY! You have to bring in as much help as you can to do the set-up, but its TOTALLY worth it! My advice for any bride using this venue is to identify people to help you set-up, clean-up, etc. We hired a day-of coordinator, which made everything run very smoothly. Our friends and family also helped, which was wonderful. We had a very rustic, elegant wedding, exactly what we wanted. JPP is wonderful, Michele is wonderful!Sent on 06/26/2013
