This review is long overdue, but we truly cannot say enough great things about Jamésa and Jayne Heir! As a Type A bride with Type B tendencies (due to limited time as a big law attorney), I waited until January 2025 to find a wedding planner for August 2025 at The View at Bluemont. I spoke with three wedding planners, including Jamésa, but decided to book with a different planner for a lower cost. That was a huge mistake on my part. After several dropped balls costing us time and money, I emailed Jamésa around two months out from the wedding and she stepped in. From day one, she completely turned everything around and saved the day. What could have been a nightmare became calm, organized, and actually enjoyable!

She went above and beyond—catching issues we didn’t even know existed, coordinating with vendors, and making us feel supported. Her knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail were unmatched. First, her knowledge is incredible. We had not booked each vendor, and when I would ask for suggestions, she easily listed off several and contacted them personally. She also knew each vendor we had booked prior to switching planners. Second, she was incredibly helpful in saving our time—from filling out vendor questionnaires to traveling to my condo to pick up wedding invitations we had not yet sent. Third, she was incredibly organized. She uses a program that contains everything you need to know about the wedding—timeline, floorplan, check-list of action items with deadlines, and contracts. We had weekly meetings, and she would give us action items that we needed to complete (such as our marriage license) and would check in with us. Fourth, she was very proactive. Even the day of our engagement shoot when the forecast showed a chance of rain, without prompting, Jamésa sent us and the photographer an email identifying other places we could shoot. She also found a fantastic makeup artist that would come to my location. Fifth, she has an eye for design. We were not happy with the design from the other planner, and Jamésa created and executed a design that we loved by coordinating with venue and our florist.

Anything we asked was not a problem and she was incredibly responsive. If we had booked her from the beginning, the wedding planning process would actually have been fun—which I still regret.

On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly due to her and her team. We were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment—something we truly owe to her. For example, due to the stress of the day and work being incredibly busy the week before the wedding, I lost several pounds and my wedding dress that I had tried on 10 days before the wedding was now falling off of me. I was freaking out, and I’m still not sure what she did with the dress, but Jamésa was able to fix that too. She had a calm demeanor the entire day, and many of our guests made positive comments about her team. And she is so down-to-earth! A close friend (who didn’t know Jamésa was the wedding planner) asked that Jamésa take a picture of her and her now fiancé, and she did.

And it didn’t just stop with execution of the wedding. At the end of the night, Jamésa and her team packed everything up nicely for us. Jamésa also took our left-over liquor and drove it back to the store.

If you are looking for a planner who will advocate for you, problem-solve effortlessly, and genuinely care about your wedding as if it were her own, Jamésa is the one. Hiring her was the best decision we made. Thank you Jamésa—we are forever indebted to you!

Most importantly, she stayed on top of us to make sure that we were completing tasks in a timely manner.

There is no greater feeling than waking up on your wedding day and watching all of the pieces come together without lifting a finger.

Someone told me Jamesa is the GOAT when it comes to wedding planners, and they weren't wrong.

Wedding Day went down without a single issue as the Jayne Heir team dotted every "i" and crossed every "t" and was allowed my wife and I to be in the moment and truly enjoy our day.

Not only was Jamesa and her team extremely professional they were also very accessible as well easy to talk to. I would recommend them 10 times out of 10 and will definitely be going back to them for the vow renewal.

My (now) husband and I got engaged September 26, 2020, and immediately started the search for a wedding planner. We narrowed down our list to three planners and “interviewed” them, with JayneHeir being one of the three. Needless to say, Jamésa of JayneHeir completely blew us away. We got married May 21, 2022, so we had over 18 months to work with Jamésa. She was an absolute pleasure the entire time. From the very beginning, Jamésa’s energy was so lively and you could immediately see her “planner mode” activated by the little details my husband and I gave on what our dream wedding was. She took those few ideas and brought our vision to life. Beyond executing the wedding details, Jamésa and her team had the best communication skills. They were so responsive whether it was a phone call, text, email, anything. In fact, you’d think Jamésa would slow down even when she was pregnant and near her due date. But no, that wasn’t Jamésa’s or JayneHeir’s style. And because of that level of committed to addressing all our questions, no whether how basic, I can honestly say that my husband and I truly got to enjoy this wedding experience. There was no anxiety or pressure regarding whether the wedding would turn out nice. We put our complete faith and trust in their team, and wasn’t disappointed in slightest. The vendor selection provided by Jamésa was top notch; the platform used to budget, schedule, and outline wedding details was a great resource; the gratitude we have for their team, immeasurable. We went with JayneHeir for wedding planning, left knowing that we need her team’s expertise for all other milestone events we’ll have in the future. So to summarize again, JayneHeir is the absolute best! I’d 1000% recommend.
