If you are looking for a wedding or event planner, LOOK NO FURTHER. I was the luckiest bride in the world to have hired Melissa (owner) of I Do for my wedding in October at Scripps Seaside Forum. As an out of town bride, I was very particular and did tons of research on who would be the best fit. Ultimately, after reading tons of reviews and meeting Melissa in person, it was no question in my mind that I found the perfect planner.
I cannot begin to describe how much work went into my wedding. Over 1500 emails, 27 vendors, countless phone calls, Melissa never skipped a beat. She took all of my scattered requests, thoughts, emails, deposits of vendors, timelines, etc, and made the most perfect and beautiful wedding day I could have ever imaged. She was so cool, calm, and collected, and extremely patient. The perfect balance to my crazy! And over the 13 months of planning, she took the time to really get to know me, my fiance, my mom, my taste, and my vision... I felt so comfortable leaving things in her hands to determine or execute. She referred me to every single one of my vendors, who literally all delivered so highly and beautifully, and they all works so well together, it made for the best well-oiled machine day of.
I just can't say enough GREAT things about Melissa and her company. You are in the absolute greatest hands, from the moment of your first interaction all the way to the last item from your wedding night getting packed up into your car. I appreciate your team's care, thought, consideration, patience, organization, execution, etc! The list goes on and on. Thank you for making all of my dreams come true & for the most beautiful and perfect wedding ever!!

I hired Melissa for month-of-service more then 6 months before our wedding which I had been planning alone for more then a year. I appreciated all of her “guidance documents” that she sent me after we hired her! They helped me stay organized. She also calmed me multiple times over the phone, she is so sweet! She assisted in setting up our marriage license appointment since we were living in San Francisco but getting married in La Jolla. Our wedding rehearsal was smooth because she was in charge and I never had to worry what was next during our ceremony or reception because she was on it! We worked with Jill Hudgins - who we hired for our month-of coordinator. I wish we had her as our full planner because she is amazing. She was the only vendor who kept me calm and at ease during the entire planning process because she was professional, responsive and extremely organized. The team of San Diego wedding planners at "I Do... Weddings" is absolutely fantastic! I've photographed multiple weddings and worked with all three coordinators (Melissa, Rachel, and Lindsay) and couldn't be more delighted with the experiences. They are very efficient, knowledgable, and calm under pressure. Best of all, they are extremely likable, and that is a big selling point for brides and grooms who want to be stress-free on their wedding day and want their guests to enjoy themselves to the fullest.
Melissa and her team are great! We really enjoyed working with her- she is calm, professional, and gets things done! Plus, she's super easy to be around. Such a friendly, relaxed presence!
