We had so many moving pieces, multiple performances, live musicians, transportation, rentals, décor details, and a full ceremony-to-reception transition, and she kept everything organized and moving seamlessly.

Melissa was incredibly thorough throughout the planning process. She followed up on details I easily could have missed, coordinated directly with our vendors, helped finalize our timeline and layout, and even managed smaller logistical details and our vendor requirements. I’m very particular and had a specific vision for our wedding, and she always listened while also giving thoughtful, practical guidance.

Being a Type A person, I had already found most of my vendors before deciding that we needed a coordinator for our big day. What initially drew me to I Do Weddings… was her team’s familiarity with San Diego wedding venues, and especially with our venue, the Scripps Seaside Forum. From our first consultation with Melissa, through every call and email, we immediately felt at ease knowing she was by our side.

Melissa truly made the wedding planning process so much easier. She was incredibly responsive and always had an answer to my many questions in the months leading up to the wedding. I never felt like I was bothering her or asking too much, and knowing we had someone experienced and dependable to turn to made such a difference.

On the wedding day, Melissa and her assistant coordinator, Elena, made sure everything went according to plan. My husband and I felt completely stress-free that morning because we knew Melissa and her team had everything under control. Words can't even describe how incredible Jill is but I'll try. Having Jill as our planner was the best decision we made. We would have been lost without her. She made what could have been an overwhelming and stressful time fun and easeful. She made us feel like our wedding was the only one she was planning. Jill also had no agenda for our wedding, she was focused on what we want and what worked with our budget. Jill's energy is also so kind and uplifting. It was always a joy to talke and correspond with her. She also responds insanely fast to everything. We always had no worry or fears because we knew Jill was on top of it all. My husband (yay!) and I hired Melissa Tuvey as our Wedding Planner a few months after our engagement to plan our August 2025 Wedding at Seagrove Park and L'Auberge Del Mar. Words cannot describe how truly amazing Melissa was as our Wedding Planner. Hiring her was by far the best decision we made in the Wedding planning process. Melissa is extremely responsive to emails, always calm, supportive, and on top of tasks, and she has the best can-do attitude to solve problems and address issues as they arise. She gave great recommendations for our vendors and took the lead on all of the follow up correspondence. Melissa set up calls, filled out vendor forms, offered suggestions to us, and kept us on track with our budget and timeline. Day-of Coordination:
Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process—offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch.

On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. And she always made sure we were taken care of (never without a drink in hand!). Her leadership and attention to detail made it all so effortless for us.

Florals:
Melissa tackled all of our floral arrangements, and I couldn’t have been happier with how they turned out! Working within my limited budget, she brought my vision to life with stunning florals that perfectly matched our style and the seaside setting. Melissa truly understood the look I was going for, and her creativity and expertise made every arrangement stand out beautifully. She even gave me a calming pep talk before I walked down the aisle, which was such a thoughtful touch during a nerve-wracking moment.

If you are considering a wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum (or anywhere else), I cannot recommend I-Do highly enough. Elena is an incredible coordinator who will make your wedding day run flawlessly, and Melissa will make your vision a reality.

We worked with Melissa for wedding management to help plan and execute our absolutely perfect day. I loved that we got to work with Melissa throughout the whole process and not just in the couple months right before the event. Melissa brought us so much peace of mind because we knew everything was going to be managed perfectly on the day of the event and that we weren’t missing a thing in the preparations. When the day rolled around, her calm energy was exactly what we needed as we were getting ready to walk down the aisle.
