Founder and stylist Giselle Williams delivers highly personalized services for bridal parties and is committed to providing full service with the best experience possible.

Experience
Giselle Williams, the founder and owner of Hair by Giselle, LLC was inspired by her father’s successful DC salons and other relatives in the business to join the beauty industry back in 1992. Giselle had formal training at the Wella Studios in London and in New York.

With over *29 years of experience with weddings, fashion shows, photo shoots, video shoots, and magazine and marketing promotions, Giselle has serviced between 90-118 weddings a year! Sometimes averaging on peak holidays (Memorial and Labor Day weekends) up to 5 weddings a weekend....so the math adds up quickly! Not just servicing brides but also the entire bridal parties. Top bridal parties have been upward of 16 people in the bridal part size, so timing and detailed expertise is her thing!

Her work has been recognized and featured in many fashion shows - Saks Jandel/Nordstrom/Bloomingdales and other upscale DC bridal shops such as - Carine’s Bridal, Hitched, Love Courture, Betsy Robinson to name a few. Also styling hair for the models at the Weddingwire Grand opening event at the Park Hyatt in DC for their launch night fashion show. In addition, styling hair for other bridal boutique fashion show openings and events. Incuding the DC - Bride & Groom Unveiled event Giselle participated in their top 3 fashion shows as the head stylist creating her own unique looks for the models.

Giselle was asked to speak at the Weddingwire panel and was asked to do a Study Case in 2016. She also lectured at GMU about her services as their chosen vendor and featured in their Wedding Guide/Management Course: Editions I II III, as recent as 2020 where demonstrating hair tips, expert insights, advise, and latest trends.

Giselle was featured in numerous magazines such as: Washingtonian Bride & Groom Unveiled, for 20 years and 9 of those years were consecutive as their “ Top Vote Getter” for hair. Also featured in; ALLURE, Southern Weddings, Martha Stewart Weddings, The Knot, Grace Ormond, Bethesda magazine, Washington Life magazine, District Weddings, Inside Weddings, The Capital File, Joy’s Bridal and others.

Giselle has styled for inaugurations, countless fashion shows, and celebrities. Celebraties included: Saturday Night Live- comedians: Lisa Lapanelli and Molly Shannon. Also styling for the host of “Dancing with the Stars” and “E- Entertainment” Host-Samantha Harris. Included in Giselle's styling expertise she also styled for Mrs. America 2004 and Miss Runner up 2006.

Giselle has a White House Clearance where she styled hair for The Ray Charles - In House Performance, during the Barak Obama administration. She has donated her services to Wounded Warrior events such as AFCEA/Valentine’s Day ball and Beyond Brave. Also donating services to the following; After the 9/11 travesty she donated to The World Bank, American Leukemia Assoc., American Red Cross, a local woman’s shelter in MD (her and her brother donated 500 haircuts). Also styling for the 2004 Inaugural Ball, Betsy Robinson Annual Bridal Event in 2008.

Giselle has a true passion for hair styling, teaching what she loves, and inspiring others. She has been greatly inspired by her father’s footsteps who immigrated the the USA from Morocco in the 60’s and by her large family (extended and immediate family of 16 stylists in the industry who now reside and work in the DC area).

Even outside of normal business hours, Giselle Williams focuses on delivering highly personalized services, meeting brides at off-site locations upon request. Giselle offers hair services such as blowouts, haircuts, updos/styling, hair extensions, and textured styling. Consultations are also offered by Hair by Giselle.
