We hired From Above Entertainment for our wedding in March ‘25 and they were fantastic! From our initial interaction with Julie, we found them to be professional and organized, and we knew they could be relied upon to deliver it for us for our wedding. We had specific requests for our song selections, the style of our reception, and the Photo Booth, and they were able to accommodate all of them. On the day of, the emcee and the DJ were great. Wes was very energetic and knew how to get the crowd going despite having groups of guests from diverse backgrounds. I’d highly recommend them to any one of my friends who are interested in having a wedding in Hawaii.

They made everything so easy from the get go! We came to the first meeting to tell them we wanted something “simple”. We were trying to have a budget wedding, had made a fire playlist to just let run on the night of, and I was worried that a DJ with just 36 guests might be awkward…? But I kept seeing the same advice again and again: Your DJ makes or breaks your night. Let me tell you: From Above Entertainment (FAE) MADE our night!

I LOVE music and I love to dance. I was extremely particular about my requests for the night - timing of songs for entrances down the aisle/grand entrance, a lengthy do not play list, which genres to stick to for ceremony/cocktail hour, bringing up the energy for dinner, and letting the jams pump for party time. FAE *completely* understood my requests and *completely* delivered - perfect timing for my aisle & grand entrance songs, matching me up with a DJ right away for the genres I wanted (EDM, pop, dance), checking in with me throughout the night that the music was right, and hyping up the crowd. 

DJ Technique and Wes spun straight and utter FIRE for 3 straight hours. Within the first hour on that dance floor, I felt our investment had already paid for itself. FAE run multiple events almost every day, and definitely know what they’re doing. I would work with them again in a heartbeat.


P.S. If you’re into EDM, ask for DJ Technique. I felt like I was at an EDM concert! If you like laughing, ask for Wes ;)

Wes and company did an awesome job! Our wedding consisted of a lot of Korean speaking guest and he got them involved and made it exciting for everyone. He is able to read the crowd and go with the flow. He should be everyone’s number 1 choice for any event!! The team responds fast and takes care of you. Call them up with you want a fun and organized wedding/event!!!!

I hired this vendor for Dj emcee and Photobooth services at my destination wedding in Hawaii. That is one of the main reasons I hired them. Having a dual service from 1 vendor is convenient for anyone planning a party.

The team is very professional and have a fast response time. I was able to interact with them over email, phone call and in person (day of). I had a positive interaction each time.

DJ- I had a primarily Spanish playlist. Knowing this , they were able to accommodate me with a DJ on their team who had some experience with Spanish music.

Emcee- did a great job setting the vibe of the party and moving along the timeline. Everyone at the wedding loved his vibe.

Photo Booth- had a great setup. The quality of the equipment, backdrop , pics and photobook were excellent! The props were on theme for a wedding but also added some humor.

Wes and Julie are such a power couple and the FAE team is amazing! Super down-to-earth, organized, punctual, professional and personable! We hired their services for DJ/MC & Photobooth at our wedding reception. They helped us build our reception timeline, played all our genre/playlist favorites, and there were so many great options for photo design and layout! Our family and friends enjoyed the evening and shared how much of a fun and great time they had. (We're a local couple with local family/friends. The FAE team did a lot at our wedding and they did it FLAWLESSLY. FAE provided the sound and low fog at the ceremony and provided the sound, music and photo booth at the cocktail hour and reception. What was extra special was that the FAE team helped me and my wedding party pull off a surprise performance for my husband. They received the instructions and mix tape files just a couple hours before the ceremony, and when it was "go time," the music came on when it needed to and they seamlessly took cues during the performance to change tracks.

Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the FAE team as well. The photo booth was a hit with unlimited prints (as well as e-files sent to us post wedding via link and usb) and the music was on point. FAE asks thorough questions about style of music as well as accepts song playlists. Between those things, the DJ was able to play the right music to keep the dance floor filled all night long.

Julie was our main contact during the whole planning process as well as on the day-of. I just want to say thank you so much for helping to make the whole process go smoothly from our initial zoom meeting, helping me customize the photo booth printout frames and getting the photo files to us post-wedding.

We had our daughter’s graduation party at Honolulu Country Club ballroom to celebrate her High School Accomplishments with our closest families and friends! The DJ played really good music! It’s a good thing that they asked us what kind of genres to play at the wedding because it would’ve took us forever to choose a song for the playlist. The DJ’s playlist for our wedding was on point! Our family and friends loved how the DJ transitions from each songs and the songs he played.

As for the photo booth, everyone loved it! I appreciate how they gave us an USB at the end of the night. We got to see everyones pictures.
