Melissa, Ariel, and the team are the absolute best! My husband and I are so grateful that we chose them to coordinate our wedding, and if we could do it all over again, we would have asked them to plan the whole thing from the very beginning. We could not have had a better experience - Melissa, Ariel, and the team are consummate professionals and hospitality experts with impeccable design taste and attention to detail. When they took over, I never had to worry that something was going to fall through the cracks - I was able to relax and trust that everything would go according to plan. Melissa and her team planned my sister's and brother in law’s wedding in April 2016 and did such an amazing job that my husband and I decided to use her for our own. In addition to bringing all of the obvious qualities you would want in a planner to the table - attention to detail, organization, creativity, and patience - she is also such a kind and wonderful person who brings laughter and fun to the entire process. Working with Melissa and Ariel was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We opted to go with day of coordinator services with some additional consulting hours to utilize Melissa’s expertise when it came to booking specific vendors. First, we must speak to Melissa’s experience and professionalism. From the first phone conversation with her, it was extremely clear that wedding planning was second nature to Melissa. At the start of our planning, my husband and I had a very good idea of what we didn’t want our wedding to be like but needed to narrow down what we did want. Utilizing the consulting hours with Melissa really enabled us to do exactly that. She asked us the right questions, shared her abundance of knowledge and vendor recommendations, accompanied us to meetings, and always remained unbiased. This truly allowed us to come up with a clear vision and plan for our wedding. In the months leading up to our wedding, Melissa and Ariel were always just a phone call or email away to help ease our “worry of the week.” Around a month out, Melissa took over all our responsibilities. She handled all the last minute vendor scheduling and made sure that everyone was on the same page for the day of. Despite the rain on our wedding day and the reshuffling of cocktail hour, everything ran smoothly and it was all because of Melissa and her wonderful team. Their professionalism, attention to detail and ability to multitask exceeded our expectations and alleviated all stress from my husband and I. We were truly able to be in the moment which allowed us to enjoy every second of our wedding day. We highly recommend Melissa for whatever level of wedding planning that you need!

My husband and I had a dream wedding day thanks to Melissa and her team! From helping my mom and me design the aesthetic of our wedding, to providing us with the best vendors out there, to making sure everything at our wedding was vegan (this was really important to my husband and me), to keeping me calm when the big day came, she made our experience totally flawless! She has great, cool style and taste! Our wedding was exactly what we wanted it to be and had so many fun, unique touches that I wouldn’t have thought of without Melissa’s expertise. In the lead up to the wedding and on the day of, Melissa took on all the logistical issues that come with a wedding with absolute grace and poise, allowing my family and my guests to just enjoy it! I can't recommend Melissa and her team enough. We knew when we chose Melissa that she would bring her unique and wonderful sense of style to everything we did, and we were right. Melissa introduced us to our florist, Doan Ly, who we couldn't have been more obsessed with. She helped us connect with our DJ, Chances with Wolves, who we had always wanted to work with. She was calm, cool, and collected at all times, including on the day of the wedding. My mom and I got drinks with her a few months later because we genuinely enjoy her company and felt like we were friends by the end of the whole process! Melissa is the whole package: fun, friendly, organized, and has an incredible eye. She helped us turn the Weylin into something fun and funky which was exactly what we were looking for, and we couldn't have been happier. Thank you, thank you, Melissa!

I cannot recommend Melissa McNeeley and her team of clever, thoughtful, creative, organized, proactive, and beyond competent individuals highly enough. My mother and I have Lauren Goldberg at Melissa McNeeley to thank for allowing us to be guests at my wedding. It's hard to overstate what I just wrote. As is likely normal, we spent a year agonizing over and delighting in details. Thanks to Lauren, I completely "let go" on the big day. I knew Lauren and her team had EVERYTHING under control, and would do a far better job at ensuring the evening went not just smoothly but spectacularly. The same goes for my mother who is wonderful, but beyond intense and detail-obsessed. She trusted Lauren and her team completely, and, again, thanks to them, enjoyed the evening, our guests, and the aesthetic we had worked to hard to put together! Leading up to the wedding, Lauren was a source of inspiration, professionalism and calm. She thought of everything, and came up with solutions to what seemed like unanswerable questions. No question and/or issue was too big or too small, and she managed us and the process with such grace and enthusiasm. It's important that the process and not just the big day are special, and our planning meetings/lunches with Lauren are some of my favorite memories. Other things to point out in consider, Melissa, Lauren et. al. worked SO well with all of our other vendors, and the wonderful people at Wave Hill (where we got married). This is critical! Also, before working with Lauren, I would have thought that it was her job to ensure that things go "smoothly." Lauren and her team, of course, did that in spades. But, as I mentioned before, there's so much more to it. Lauren, Melissa et. al. orchestrated a pitch perfect and, for lack of a better word, dramatic event! They made sure that "big" moments were highlighted, and timed the whole evening so beautifully. I truly cannot imagine a better group of people to work with!!!!!!!!!

We had a fantastic experience with Lauren from Melissa McNeeley's company. We did "day-of coordination," though in reality Lauren started helping us weeks before the wedding in order to make sure that the day went well. Lauren was an expert in how to coordinate the vendors, how to go through all the steps to make sure that everything came off without a hitch on the day. We had all sorts of last-minute troubleshooting, including some parent management and some groom management, and Lauren didn't blink. She was responsive and easy to work with and helped us with all the little questions we didn't even know to anticipate. We had a few staff help us on the actual day of the wedding and they helped guarantee that everything went smoothly--at a 240-person wedding, I can't think of a single thing that went wrong. We would never get married again (once is plenty!) but if we did, we would absolutely choose Lauren and her colleagues at Melissa McNeeley to take care of it all.

Melissa and one of her team members, Lauren, are unstoppable! I am a pretty controlling person when it comes to organization and planning, and yet I felt completely comfortable not lifting a finger on my wedding day and letting them run the show! Everything was perfect, and if something went wrong, I never knew about it. They answered all of my frantic calls leading up to the day, and managed our other vendors beautifully. They are extremely attentive, and made us feel unique and special every step of the way. They gave us plenty of advice based on past experiences, and helped us execute new ideas quickly. We did things a little bit differently, I would say, and they supported us entirely. You can't go wrong with Events by Melissa McNeeley.

Melissa and her team were absolutely fabulous. In addition to being SUPER nice and easy to work with, she recommended the best vendors and connected us with the perfect caterer, florist, DJ, photographer, etc. (And everyone she recommended was super nice too). Melissa is so creative and has amazing ideas (like making our escort cards 3-d animals since our wedding was at the central park zoo) and makes everything beautiful. She was also super responsive and always answered emails within 24 hours (usually almost immediately!) and was an absolute delight to work with. On the actual day of the wedding, she exceeded all already-high expectations. She and her team (Lauren and Claire) went above and beyond and did not miss a beat. They even went to my hotel in the middle of the wedding to pick up a dress for me to change into because my wedding gown was super hot!
Melissa rocks. And did I mention super nice? Do it!
