Emily is hands down the reason my wedding was a success! My husband and I are not locals to Portland, so we needed a planner who knew the area and the vendors. Emily is so well-respected amongst the wedding vendor community around Portland, and I am eternally grateful that we got to work with her.

Emily has all of the qualities that make an amazing wedding planner. She's efficient and organized, and I trusted her completely to check all the boxes and never drop the thread on any task. She's always calm, and her energy helped mitigate any nervous-bride tendencies that I had throughout planning. She also has wonderful taste - she steered me away from some design choices that I'm still glad we opted out of, and the only design choice I regret was one that Emily tried her best to counsel me against!

I only wish I had more friends and family from the Northeast who wanted to get married in Maine and could work with her! Alas, we are from the south - though I've already had two friends ask if Emily plans weddings in Georgia and Florida - a testament to the wonderful wedding that Emily planned!

We cannot recommend hiring Emily Elizabeth Events more--it was absolutely the best wedding planning decision we made. We got married in August 2021 and worked with Emily for 27 whole months (!) to plan. From the second she started working with us, we felt so comfortable with her and had complete trust in her. We so appreciated Emily's gentle guidance, her incredible vendor recommendations, her lightning-speed responses, her professionalism with us and our vendors, and her keeping us on time and on budget, and immediately saw her skill and design talent as the vision for the wedding started to take shape.

It's such a testament to Emily's work ethic, relationships, and attention to detail that not only was most of our wedding planned by April 2020, but that when we decided to rebook because of the pandemic uncertainty, she essentially did it all in 24 hours. We felt so incredibly lucky that during such a stressful time in the world, wedding planning wasn't an added stress.

Our wedding weekend itself was better than we could have hoped for. Emily pulled together such a thorough timeline that gave us and our families so much comfort to know every single detail was taken care of. She ran the rehearsal perfectly, got to our venue at the crack of dawn on wedding day, spent the whole day on your feet creating the most beautiful space we've ever seen, and didn't leave until the venue was cleared out.

Every single element was more beautiful and went more seamlessly than we could have hoped. We've been to many weddings and spoken to many friends who have hired planners, and Emily is far and away the best of them all. We are so grateful she made our experience the best weekend of our lives!

We worked with Emily as a planner for our 35 person August wedding in Maine that was at a private residence. Emily was incredibly responsive; we worked primarily over email for the year leading up to the wedding. She had every detail covered and made it really easy to tackle all of the planning steps involved and had many vendors she could recommend that she already worked closely with. She coordinated directly with all of our vendors and was incredibly organized leading up to the weekend and being onsite during Friday / Saturday festivities. We trusted Emily with many of the design decisions and everything came out so beautifully. She knew all of the specific vendors we would need to prepare a private (non venue) space. She was invaluable the day of and made everything go smoothly so that we could fully enjoy the day and be present. We highly recommend working with Emily for your event, especially if you are going for a more intimate affair.
