I was originally going to get flowers from a traditional florist but they were quoting me over $2000 for 1 bridal bouquets, 6 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 boutonnière, and an arrangement for a wedding arch. We ending up getting 5 premium color flower buckets, a bridal bouquet, and 1 boutonnière from East of Eden flower farm and the total came out to less than $1000. Even more importantly the flowers were absolutely stunning. They were better than I could have dreamed up myself. I let my bridesmaids all make their own bouquets while we were getting our hair and makeup done and they had so much fun. We had more flowers than we even knew what to do with. We loved them so much we kept them all at our house until they were completely dead which took over a week.

Julia at East of Eden was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. I hadn't give much thought to our florals aside from a few colors we wanted to incorporate into our day, and Julia was able to help me design a plan within our budget to decorate our space. I appreciated her expertise and flexibility! She was great about providing options and ideas when we needed them, and was very responsive over email as we got closer to our wedding day. When I saw the final flowers on our wedding day I was absolutely blown away. The colors were vibrants, the flowers were fresh and everything smelled amazing. We decided to work with East of Eden for our wedding flowers because we didn't have anything particular in mind and we loved the idea of working with a local farm. It was the best choice! Julia was incredible to work with, and she even sent a note when she was planting the seeds for the flowers that were used in our wedding arrangements. The flowers she provided were simple, yet perfectly "wild". Julia was also a dream to work with - she ordered sprigs of rosemary for us last minute, sourced containers for the table arrangements etc. Whenever I had a question, she went above and beyond to lay out the options for me. We really wanted something that looked natural and beautifully represented Maine, and that is exactly what we got. We couldn't be happier!

We loved working with Julia from East of Eden! She provided gorgeous bouquets and arrangements our friends are still raving about! The cafe au lait dahlias are probably the most beautiful flowers I'd ever seen. If you have a vision, tell Julia and she'll no doubt bring it to life. In addition to providing stunning flowers from the farm, Julia also went above and beyond, helping arrange garland on all the dinner tables (greenery ordered elsewhere), decorate the cake with flowers and set-up beautiful pew arrangements at the church. We had such a great experience working with EOE! They made our lives so much easier by taking our vision and just running with it. They designed all of the bridal party bouquets & boutonnieres, the ceremony flowers, and all of our centerpieces at the reception. They were super responsive to all of our questions and their pricing was extremely reasonable. Would absolutely recommend them!

Julia at East of Eden Flowers is absolutely wonderful! She is vibrant, responsive and listens to what your vision is for flowers for a wedding!! My daughters wedding on the coast of Maine was outdoors under a sailcloth tent, her vision was freshly cut flowers from a meadow! We chose flowers by the bucket with a special array of colors. The flowers were BREATHTAKING, BEAUTIFUL, and created a garden like feel at my daughters wedding. Every guest could not believe the fresh beauty of all the flowers. We created arrangements for each table and the buffet, champagne table, gift table. Everyone kept remarking on the beauty! The wedding was Sat at 3 pm. We arrived to pick up the flowers at the farm on Friday at 9am. Freshly cut! Julia is so warm, has a passion for her flowers and rejoices in growing them for the wedding. She takes so much pride and joy in her work! I had hoped for peonies for my daughters wedding bouquet and her farmer neighbor had them, as Julia’s peonies are only 3 years old! East of Eden is Wonderful, and the flowers more beautiful than any flower shop at a perfect price!! My daughters friends gathered around a farm table as a joyous group arranging these flowers. Each arrangement was gorgeous!

Julia was great, we wanted beautiful flowers but wanted to keep the price reasonable. We had her do the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets (I figured it was too challenging for flower arranging newbies!) and then did buckets to arrange ourselves for the centerpieces. She was very helpful through email, helping decide how many buckets we would need etc and when I added an additional bouquet later it was no problem. My mom went over the day before the wedding to pick everything up since we live nearby, the bouquets were packed securely in buckets and it all went smoothly, the flowers were just what I wanted. I do wish I’d over-ordered with an extra bucket and just had extra flowers while arranging to fill out all the vases more quickly, especially since the price is not too high. I had given her some colors that I liked and general guidance about my style and that I wanted ribbon steamers of a certain color for mine and she made beautiful bouquets. A great experience and definitely a highlight of the day without feeling like we were spending too much. I highly recommend this business!!

East of Eden was very accommodating with our wedding. We had them do the bridal bouquet and boutonnieres and then just got their "farmers choice" bulk buckets for our table arrangements, which we did ourselves. The bulk buckets were a fantastic value and were so breathtakingly beautiful that it would have been difficult to arrange them in a way that they didn't look stunning. This was a big money saver for us but looked like a million bucks. As someone who cares for the environment it also was HUGE for me that I didn't have to ship flowers in from other continents, these were all grown less than an hour from where my wedding took place and my mother in law was able to pick them up in her car.

Without a doubt, Julia was my favorite wedding vendor. I picked her because first and foremost, I loved the concept that she grows all of the flowers that are used for your big day, so what you get are seasonal and fresh from a local farm. I know very little about specific flowers, but had a good idea of the “feeling” I wanted to create at my wedding, and just by sharing my Pinterest page with Julia, she not only delivered – she completely knocked it out of the park! She created a beautiful comb for my hair and the most fragrant, beautiful bouquets and table arrangements (that guests from Maine continued to be able to enjoy more than a week after the wedding!). Julia’s professionalism cannot be overstated, either. She was extremely responsive, transparent about costs, and honored my budget without trying to upsell. She shared my excitement throughout the process, which made her a true pleasure to work with.

My daughter had gotten married two years earlier, and I learned very quickly that communication skills are just as important as beautiful flowers, when it comes to getting what the bride and groom want for their special day. I've been so lucky both times (my daughter's florist in Texas was fabulous too). Julia was amazing and kept in contact with us the whole way through. She came out and saw the wedding location (our cottage) and listened to what my son and his now wife were saying... but you could also see the inspiration and creativity at work in her eyes. She went back to the farm and specially grew flowers to fit with the ideas she came back with. Yes-she grew the flowers!
