As soon as we came across some photos that Danila took at another wedding in Jersey City, we knew this was a match for us. His incredible creative style is unique, his photos and stories are more lively and vivid than other wedding photographers, and we loved it! For us, capturing our relationship with each other as well as our friends was exactly what we were looking for, and Danila became a great fit with our group of friends and family, felt like we've known him forever.
On your wedding day, you need to be flexible and find creative solutions to withstand temperamental weather conditions. Picking a venue with the typically gorgeous view of NYC for photos sounds like it you would have an easy background, but then it snows so much on a March day that it completely covers the view. I didn't even have time to panic, Danila was quick to propose a new background which ended up being even more perfect. Danila's photo assistant Katia was also amazing, she was able to help ensure that all the other important family, guests, bridal parties were taken.
Danila and Katia also took amazing photos of the small Russian Orthodox Church where we had our ceremony, not easy to follow or capture as there are many moving pieces throughout, and it is at least an hour long.

Finally, Danila shared all the photos with us very quickly, including creating a special story, which we have been sharing with our family and friends.

Danila and his wife were incredible photographers for our wedding in Snug Harbor, Staten Island. They were very creative in their photography style and they truly captured the magic of our entire wedding day and night. The pictures that they took around Manhattan and it’s boroughs were breathtaking. After browsing numerous wedding albums and photography blogs online, we searched no further once we saw Danila’s photos. They are natural, fun, creative and not too stylized or edited. My husband and I are both camera shy and Danila made us feel comfortable and gave the perfect amount of direction. Every photo was taken with purpose as he captured a specific moment or detail. Danila is incredible. We did an engagement session with him on a blisteringly cold November day in Brooklyn. His charm, humor and personality made us feel like we were just meeting a friend for a cup of coffee (and we did just that - the session started in a coffee shop), and we went from being nervous and rigid to relaxed and happy in a matter of minutes. The shoot lasted over 2 hours, and I am sure he would have spent more time with us if not for my ill-conceived wardrobe choice (skirt in 30 degree weather? yeah no). He was attentive and clear in giving directions, and definitely wasn't shy about trying different shots for unexpected and amazing results.

Danila doesn't just photograph, he creates stories with his pictures. His editorial yet natural style exceeded all of our expectations - getting the pictures back was like watching a movie...starring us! We can't wait to see him do his magic for our wedding day!

Danila is a true artist. My husband and I had him do both our engagement pics and our wedding. The photos came out beautifully. I can't stand "corny wedding photos" and Danila's are the exact opposite- naturalistic and artistic. We are so happy we chose him, and have these amazing photos to remind us of our wedding day.
