Lauren Sent on 08/03/2016Hands down, AMAZING! Danila shot our engagement photos in NYC and they turned out incredible. If my wedding wasn't "destination", I would have him shoot our wedding photos as well. Danila (and Lana) has an unbelievable eye for photography. He had the best recommendations for where to take the photos and was such a joy to work with and be around during the shoot. The turnaround time to deliver the photos was less than two months. I would highly recommend him!! Thank you, Danila - I truly cannot thank you enough for the wonderful experience and for capturing our story so perfectly! -

As soon as we came across some photos that Danila took at another wedding in Jersey City, we knew this was a match for us. His incredible creative style is unique, his photos and stories are more lively and vivid than other wedding photographers, and we loved it! For us, capturing our relationship with each other as well as our friends was exactly what we were looking for, and Danila became a great fit with our group of friends and family, felt like we've known him forever.
On your wedding day, you need to be flexible and find creative solutions to withstand temperamental weather conditions. Picking a venue with the typically gorgeous view of NYC for photos sounds like it you would have an easy background, but then it snows so much on a March day that it completely covers the view. I didn't even have time to panic, Danila was quick to propose a new background which ended up being even more perfect. Danila's photo assistant Katia was also amazing, she was able to help ensure that all the other important family, guests, bridal parties were taken.
Danila and Katia also took amazing photos of the small Russian Orthodox Church where we had our ceremony, not easy to follow or capture as there are many moving pieces throughout, and it is at least an hour long.
Finally, Danila shared all the photos with us very quickly, including creating a special story, which we have been sharing with our family and friends.

They turned our wedding into a total work of art—the editorial aesthetic we were really hoping for, especially with our own backgrounds in media and photography. The day went by in such a whirlwind, and when we got our pictures back, we were so thrilled to see the little moments that we were both too busy and insane to remember... that's why you hire professionals like them. To have those moments captured in ways that are meaningful and beautiful, so they aren't lost, and so you can relive them exactly as you'd hoped. We both consider ourselves extremely camera-shy and non-photogenic, and Danila is just amazing—he made us feel as comfortable as possible, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you SO much for everything. Your spirit is amazing—your artwork, even more!

When we met with Danila he was funny and relaxed that we didn't even bother to look anywhere else. Right before the wedding I gave him a timeline and he was right on time (I wasn't). We did a first look and he had a vision and followed through. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to take pictures before our ceremony, but it didn't matter. Him and his wife snapped away, took a little time during cocktail hour for family photos, and even gave us enough time to return to cocktail hour and eat a bit. During the reception he took many pictures, and even snuck over to our photobooth and was taking pictures through the curtain. He was very engaging and made everyone laugh. He knows what will look good and will do anything for a good shot. I didn't want to write my review until after I received my pictures, which did take some time but it was understandable as the holidays were coming up. When we got our pictures I was so excited because Danila did not disappoint. His pictures captured everything beautiful about the day. I will say Danila comes highly recommended! -

Julia Sent on 01/16/2017After many weeks of searching for a photographer that would fit our overall style and aesthetic, my husband and I came across Danila. His beautiful pictures, epic scope, natural approach, and gorgeous incorporation of surroundings blew us away. We couldn't have been more nervous before our engagement shoot (How do you stand? What do you do?? Is it going to be awkward??) Funny and charming, Danila completely eased us into the process. We were so grateful, and the results could not be more amazing! We were so in love, we knew we had to book them right away for our wedding this past October. It was no surprise to us that it was one of the best decisions we made. Danila is a true artist and risk taker, capturing the specialness of every seemingly insignificant moment. With so many things to worry about leading up to the wedding, we were so relieved that we knew our photos were going to be spectacular. And he did not disappoint! Friends and family have been raving nonstop at his and Lana’s amazing work - I could not recommend them highly enough! Book book book!
