incredibly poor business planning, customer service and scaleability
If I could leave a zero star I really would. I have had the most horrendous, unprofessional experience with this establishment, that to me is indicative of incredibly poor business planning, customer service and scale ability of an institution that is supposed to be associated with what is the best day of your life. I made an appointment for 10:20 am today about a week ago. I cleared my day of important meetings and work so that I could enjoy a day of dress shopping. I also had my mother who lives in another state clear her calendar so I could FaceTime her in during the appointment. I received an email confirming the appointment and received a phone call confirming the appointment, all with notes that indicated how should I need to cancel, I be courteous and give them at least 12 hours of notice. This morning, I woke up appropriately so that I would be on time, ordered an expensive Uber to get me there, and even with that, saw I was running but a few minutes late and called the business number (which I should add is listed incorrectly on Google and necessitated me looking through emails to find the correct one) to call and let them know and a woman answers who said that’s totally fine and noted that I would be working with a different stylist. Ok. I then make my way to the store, and am knocking for 5 minutes, to then call them back, and hear that apparently, they actually had a full mixup with their schedule and there are no stylists or any staff at the store who can a) open the door and b) do my appointment today. So to be clear: I had gotten confirmation, called them this morning, and in none of those interactions did they even think to check their schedules and actually ensure that my appointment would be met. When I asked what I should do now given I’m sitting in front of a closed business, I was told that they were “sorry for this inconvenience, and if I could just come back another day”. Now I know that for many, wedding dress shopping is an experience you plan, you make accommodations in your day, some even travel from all over to make an appointment. For that to be disregarded and for no solution to he offered as to how I can even keep tus appointment today at all, is actually incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate. When I pressed to se if anyone, anyone, at all could make their way to the shop I was told it would be pretty difficult and inconvenient for the shop owner or the stylist who lives in Brooklyn to make their way. I was considering putting the trust of my wedding dress and consequentially day in the hands of a business that effectively shrugged of an insane mishap on their end with zero accommodations or solutions. If you are a bride who takes her day very seriously, I would very much consider this experience as you move forward and would probably urge you book elsewhere as still the owner has not even reached out to apologize or rectify. Truly truly truly disappointed.
