I cannot say enough amazing things about Liza Ray and her whole team at Beauty Icon. I held my trial with Liza 5 months before my wedding. She was so kind and patient during the trial ; switching up my hair multiple times to get the most perfect look, listening to all of my concerns and requests, and making me feel so special. Her team throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding day was so accommodating to every schedule change and flexible when having to add extra artists to accommodate my growing large party. I was so excited and happy to have Liza and her team a part of my special day. My family and friends were so happy with their hair and makeup; they all looked beautiful. Zhenya, Mai and Emine were amazing.

On my wedding day Liza created a look that made me feel like a princess- her calm energy was so comforting- she arrived on time at 7 AM and stayed with me until 7 pm for touch ups and hair change before the reception. Not only did I love my hair and makeup, I loved her calm energy and she was the perfect person to have by my side on my special day. Not only is she very kind, she is very talented and professional. I could not recommend Liza Ray and Beauty Icon enough; you will love how you look and feel on your wedding day.

I had such an amazing experience with Beauty Icon NYC! On the administrative side, the team is so organized and quick to respond. For my wedding HMU, I worked with Mai, who was a rockstar. I wanted to wear my hair down, but I was nervous about it getting frizzy (as it tends to do). Mai was able to work with my hair and did a fantastic job — I had beautiful bouncy curls for my photos that lasted all the way to my after party. My makeup was exactly as I wanted it, and Mai was great at translating what I described into my perfect look. She was so professional and a joy to work with, even when we had an issue at the hotel which resulted in a LOT of her makeup breaking while I was getting my face done. She was a trooper and finished the job expertly, while somehow still keeping us right on time. I cannot recommend Beauty Icon NYC enough — perfection and professionalism from start to finish!

Nina (hair) and Coco (makeup) at Beauty Icon made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt for my wedding day. Right from the start, Beauty Icon replied to my inquiry quickly and thoroughly. I wrote out what I wanted, and they sent me an email reply that set expectations clearly and from the start. I’ll admit, I was nervous about booking hair and makeup before I met with my artists. I do not wear makeup normally, and in the past, I’ve had hair stylists tell me my hair is too soft for my desired look. But my family and friends assured me I should not do my own makeup, so after reading a lot of reviews, I landed on Beauty Icon. Before I booked, I was able to get on the phone with their owner, Liza. Liza was sweet, patient, and offered me really thoughtful guidance. I opted to do a trial of my hair and makeup to see what direction I wanted for my wedding. I opted to work with Nina (hair) and Coco (makeup), who were absolutely fabulous! I arrived at the Beauty Icon midtown studio, and both women worked on me so carefully and thoughtfully. I showed Nina some hair inspiration, and she immediately reassured me that we could achieve my look. I showed Nina some inspiration photos, she asked questions to ensure she understood my vision, and then went to work. She checked in at various points, making sure I was happy with where she put my hair part and she listened to my feedback. The result was absolutely beautiful! My hair stayed in place all day! I had similar inspiration photos for makeup that I showed Coco, and she also talked me through my vision. When I told her I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, she asked me really thoughtful questions about how I felt about certain products, like foundation or bronzer. Coco was really gentle on my face, and super thoughtful. Every few swipes during my trial, she asked me to check into a mirror to see what I thought. I was able to share my preferences, and Coco listened and took notes. You can tell that both of these women take such pride in her work. By the end of my trial, I felt so beautiful, and I felt like the best version of myself. My hair and makeup looked exactly how I envisioned it. I didn’t have much feedback, but the artists answered my questions thoroughly and kindly. On the morning of my wedding, I was exhausted. Nina and Coco both arrived on time to my hotel and their presence helped me to feel at ease. I invited my mom and aunt along with me, and they also got their hair and make up done. Nina (hair) and Coco (makeup) both consulted my mom and aunt on what their normal routine looks like, what they wanted done. They were treated with such warmth and kindness. When it was my turn, the artists went to work, referencing the notes they took during my trial. And both the hair and make up turned out perfectly. What’s more- my hair and makeup lasted all day!! My makeup did not crease and was vibrant through the end. My hair stayed in place in the loose waves I loved - despite having a very humid day and outdoor ceremony! Nina was able to style all of our hair so it would look perfect during our ceremony and photos. Even though my mom and I had to walk a few blocks from the hotel to our venue. I am so impressed. I joked with Coco that I should do my makeup more often because I felt so vibrant after she worked on me. I would love to work with Nina and Coco again for my hair and makeup. I highly recommend these artists and Beauty Icon as a whole.

LOVED working with Beauty Icon! Anastasia really made me look so beautiful on my wedding day. She is also the sweetest person, so it was so nice just to spend time with someone as nice as her on my wedding day! I probably sent the Beauty Icon team 50 emails will all my questions and scheduling changes throughout this process, and they did such a fantastic job of responding and helping me. Plus I did a call with Liza before I booked, who totally put me at ease and was so helpful in answering all of my questions. Anastasia did hair/makeup for me, my mom, and my sister and we were all so thrilled. We also had Fady and Lisa M and everyone looked so great. I even had friends asking me for pictures from my wedding so that they could show their own hair/makeup teams! My only note is that when they say everyone takes a minimum of 45 minutes per service--they mean it. Don't fight it, just budget for it! Cannot recommend enough, thank you!!
