I worked with Galina for my anniversary celebration and could not be happier. She created such a soft, romantic look that felt timeless and elegant. I loved how she explained each step and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The makeup lasted through dinner, dancing, and countless photos. I cannot say enough amazing things about Liza Ray and her whole team at Beauty Icon. I held my trial with Liza 5 months before my wedding. She was so kind and patient during the trial ; switching up my hair multiple times to get the most perfect look, listening to all of my concerns and requests, and making me feel so special. Her team throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding day was so accommodating to every schedule change and flexible when having to add extra artists to accommodate my growing large party. I was so excited and happy to have Liza and her team a part of my special day. My family and friends were so happy with their hair and makeup; they all looked beautiful. Zhenya, Mai and Emine were amazing.
On my wedding day Liza created a look that made me feel like a princess- her calm energy was so comforting- she arrived on time at 7 AM and stayed with me until 7 pm for touch ups and hair change before the reception. Not only did I love my hair and makeup, I loved her calm energy and she was the perfect person to have by my side on my special day. Not only is she very kind, she is very talented and professional. I could not recommend Liza Ray and Beauty Icon enough; you will love how you look and feel on your wedding day.

Amazing bridal HMU
I had such an amazing experience with Beauty Icon NYC! On the administrative side, the team is so organized and quick to respond. For my wedding HMU, I worked with Mai, who was a rockstar. I wanted to wear my hair down, but I was nervous about it getting frizzy (as it tends to do). Mai was able to work with my hair and did a fantastic job — I had beautiful bouncy curls for my photos that lasted all the way to my after party. My makeup was exactly as I wanted it, and Mai was great at translating what I described into my perfect look. She was so professional and a joy to work with, even when we had an issue at the hotel which resulted in a LOT of her makeup breaking while I was getting my face done. She was a trooper and finished the job expertly, while somehow still keeping us right on time. I cannot recommend Beauty Icon NYC enough — perfection and professionalism from start to finish! -

Sasha did my trial and wedding-day makeup and hair, and Daria joined on the day-of to do beauty for my bridesmaids and family. The Beauty Icon management team I worked with beforehand was one of the most communicative and clear of any vendor I had. During the trial, Sasha tested out multiple hairstyles and really listened to what I wanted. I sent feedback after, and she not only remembered it on the day of—she nailed it. My makeup was perfect and lasted all day. Sasha and Daria were both fantastic with family members who don’t normally wear makeup, and everyone looked and felt great. -

We had Anna B as our main artist and wow, I have honestly never felt more beautiful in my entire LIFE!!! She nailed my perfect look so quickly during our initial trial, and same with my now spouse. I wanted glam, my partner wanted more natural, and Anna made us both so beautiful and happy!!! On our actual wedding day our hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY, a few very minor touchups here and there from eating and drinking, but otherwise was perfectly intact. I have a very oily face, but you wouldn't have known that from how matte I looked and stayed! Our hair was gorgeous, my bun was flawless and my tiara stayed put the entire day and night! We couldn't have asked for a better artist! Her team was so excellent, Anatasia V and Kim, made our bridal party so gorgeous and glamorous! Everyone's looks also lasting all day and night! They were all so kind and wonderful, so talented, and so dang fast too. Again we couldn't have asked for a better team for our wedding day. Thanks again Anna B, Anatasia V, and Kim!!! -

Don't hesitate to book Beauty Icon when you're next in need of hair/makeup services. I used them for my wedding and can say without a doubt that this was the best decision I made wrt my vendors. Their team was flexible and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for for my bridal look, and completely nailed the more clean aesthetic I was going for. I truly looked the best I've ever looked, and the hair and makeup both latest the entirety of the day (12+ hours) without any touch-ups. I am so beyond impressed and will be using them again for any future events. -

I had a great experience with Beauty Icon from the beginning with communicating with the team managers Oxana & Dasha, to the trial and working with Sasha and Elena on my wedding day. Everyone truly cares for you to look and feel special for your wedding!
My artist/stylist was Sasha and she is so talented. I changed my hair from my trial and she beautifully recreated from my updated inspiration photos even better than what I had envisioned. I typically don’t wear a lot of makeup and she made me feel like myself. She elevated my look, yet made it feel I wasn’t wearing tons of makeup and it lasted all night! Plus, she made everyone in my wedding party’s hair look like perfection.
Our second artist/stylist Elena did a beautiful job with everyone’s makeup and our flower girls hair! It is not an easy task with two girls under 3 years old. My mom also is not one who wears a lot of makeup and she felt naturally herself! I was so impressed!
Sasha and Elena both have calming and kind personalities, and would definitely book them again in a heartbeat. I am so happy with my experience with them!
I would definitely recommend Beauty Icon for your wedding hair and makeup! -

Highly recommend Beauty Icon for your bridal hair & makeup!! From my first contact with the Beuty Icon Team Manager "Oxana" to my experience getting ready on the morning of my wedding,
I cannot speak more highly about the Beauty Icon team. My wedding was in NY but I live in Phoenix and due to flight cancellations wasn't able to make it back for my trial but I wasn't nervous at all because I was confident in the services that Beauty Icon provide.
If you follow them on Instagram you can see how they are the best team to highlight natural beauty.
Everyone looked beautiful and hair and makeup lasted all day! I had Paulina do everyones hair including my own and she also did my makeup.
Another artist Emine did everyone elses makeup and she was so sweet and everyone felt so beautiful and comfortable with their makeup. You will not regret going forward with Beauty Icon!! -

Incredibly talented crew!
OMG the Beauty Icon team is incredible! I attended a friend's wedding back in 2020 and I was immediately wowed by the bride's look. I almost immediately set up a trial for myself:) I immediately knew I wanted to work with them on my big day. Liza and Elena are kind, professional and extremely talented. I don't normally wear a lot of make up (neither do my bridesmaids) and I wanted to look like myself on my big day. They listened to my concerns, looked my inspo pics and DELIVERED! I felt amazing on my big day, and most importantly I looked like an elevated version of myself. My make up lasted through sweat, happy tears, a lots of partying. I have fine hair that doesn't hold a curl very well. Liza convinced me to get hair extensions to help, and blended it in so well I forgot I was wearing them. I can go on forever on how wonderful these women are!! I highly, highly recommend Beauty Icon NYC -

Most amazing artists!!
I can not say enough great things about Beauty Icon. I knew immediately I had to work with them just after scrolling through their Instagram portfolio but booked right after I did a trial with Liza. Liza has the power to make you look and feel amazing, while still making sure you look like yourself. I worked with Liza and Dasha on my wedding day this past September and had the best experience. They did the hair and makeup for myself as well as my mom and 6 bridesmaid and everyone looked so beautiful and was so happy. They really listened to each individual person and executed everything perfectly. -

Beauty Icon NYC was recommended to me by a colleague who hired them for her wedding day. I knew makeup was important to her so if she trusted Beauty Icon then I knew I could too. And indeed they were amazing! Paulina was the main artist for me and Elena did several bridesmaids. They are both very talented and very kind. My wedding was in Hudson Valley - outside of NYC - but they both arrived on time promptly in the morning and stayed until our first look and helped with touch-ups, too. Everyone's makeup stayed amazingly well into the night and they all loved their looks. I would 100% recommend Beauty Icon to any future brides! -

I absolutely loved working with Liza and the Beauty Icon team! They are responsive, professional, and super talented! I had a diverse wedding party, and they were able to work with a variety of complexions, hair textures, etc. with ease. Everyone looked stunning! I got to work with Liza again for a post-wedding photoshoot and she left me looking just as good as wedding day. Not to mention she and the team are super nice and easygoing. 10/10 would recommend! -

Working with Beauty Icon for my wedding hair and makeup look was a dream. The studio was extremely easy to work with. Studio manager Oxana was very responsive and matched me to the perfect artists for my style and price range. Julia and Marina worked wonders the day of my wedding. They were friendly and made each bridesmaid, my mother, and my mother-in-law feel gorgeous. Julia created a killer makeup look for me and the perfect hairstyle. Liza perfectly achieved my desired classic wedding look
I planned my wedding very, very quickly, and I waited until the last minute to decide on who to hire to do hair/makeup—luckily Beauty Icon accommodated my last-minute needs and told me Liza Ray was available. Less than a week before my wedding, I had a trial with Liza. I explained to her that I wanted a glamorous but relatively natural look—hair down, makeup that would be subtle and complement my complexion (I’m a redhead). I showed her a few inspiration photos and from there she created a beautiful look, exactly what I wanted. The day of my wedding, Liza styled my mom and sisters’ hair—they all loved their looks—and once again created a glamorous, classic wedding look for me. Liza is also truly one of the most genuinely sweet people I’ve met. She was a joy to talk with during the hours we spent together during the trial and on the morning of my wedding. I can’t recommend Beauty Icon/Liza enough. -

I chose her because I loved her textured updos - they are red carpet glam perfection instead of stiff outdated wedding do’s. I’ve never felt more beautiful. Working with the Beauty Icon team was effortless and wonderful. I went in with little direction (natural makeup and a colorful lip, hair up), and Paulina brought this to life in a way that made me look like myself, but elevated -- exactly what I would have hoped for for my wedding day. My bridesmaids and the mother of the groom had equally wonderful experiences, especially those who had specific requests around being able to do their own eyebrows, or filling in eyebrows more than they had naturally, etc. Thanks so much for making us feel beautiful! -

Stunning hair and makeup!!
Beauty Icon NYC was amazing!! I am so happy that I choose them for my wedding hair and makeup, and I HIGHLY recommend their services. They were professional and attentive throughout the wedding planning process. I had a total of 10 people (including myself) getting hair and makeup done on the morning of my wedding. Before the wedding, Beauty Icon worked with me to make a schedule for everyone’s hair and makeup shifts. Beauty Icon made what could have been potentially a very stressful morning, completely easy. Karina, Alena, and Tara arrived on time (6:45am!) and were cheery and fun throughout the whole morning of getting ready!
The best part of working with Beauty Icon was that the artists really highlighted everyone’s beauty and accentuated their best features naturally. They used high quality makeup and products, but didn’t cake them on. All our styles lasted beautifully till the end of the night. (Which is especially impressive, because it was an August wedding with a lot of dancing!). Karina did the bridal hair and makeup, and I felt glowing and confident the entire day thanks to her.

The perfect hair & makeup artist is such an integral part of your wedding day - they help you feel & look your best, bring together your bridal vision and set the tone for the day. As someone who does her hair & makeup on a daily basis, I knew that finding the perfect HMUA was going to be a challenge. Most were either too subtle, or too over-the-top - I couldn't find that perfect sweet spot. Until I found Beauty Icon.
Liza & her team are amazing. I worked with Liza on my hair & makeup trial as well as on my wedding day, and she did not disappoint. She's so incredibly talented, open and encouraging - she made me feel like the most beautiful version of myself, but never hesitated to make any tweaks or adjustments I asked for. My makeup looked perfect in photos, and everyone was absolutely in love with the hair look she created. Her team also did a phenomenal job on my bridal party, creating cohesive yet tailored looks for everyone, and constantly making sure everyone was happy with the outcome. My bridesmaids commented all day on how calming and reassuring they were, how gentle their application was, and how fantastic they felt.
On top of that, Liza was beyond flexible with the wedding day scheduling, even when I changed the start time again 2 days prior. Nothing was ever an inconvenience, and she made sure that everyone stayed on schedule, which was incredibly important to me. I would recommend Liza & Beauty Icon in an instant, and they will forever be my go-to whenever I want to feel extra special.

Liz is such a dream come true. She is sooo sweet and extremely communicative and SO TALENTED. She knows exactly what will accentuate your features without overdoing it. She did my bridal makeup as well as my bridesmaids, MOB and MOG. Everyyyyone LOVED their makeup. The mothers looked beautiful and natural, just like they wanted - and the bridesmaids got that little bit of glam they all wanted to feel a little extra special. All of our makeup and lashes lasted allll night (my lashes were even still on the next day which was sweet) - we didn't need to touch up at all.
When I was originally looking to book a MUA for my wedding, I thought it'd be wise so save money and go with someone cheaper. WRONG. I booked a cheaper MUA, and ended up losing a $300 deposit after I panicked and realized I hated the trial and had no faith she'd be good for the big day. I gladly lost that deposit after I then found Liz and had my trial with her. She is worth every single penny. So so soo glad I booked her. Thank you Liz!!!! -

Elizabeth Ray (aka Liz) from Beauty Icon NYC did my hair and makeup for my Hindu engagement photo shoot on Friday, May 24, 2019. As a side note, I had also hired Elizabeth to do my hair and makeup for my Catholic wedding ceremony a year prior on Saturday, June 16, 2018. I enjoyed working with her so much that I asked her to work with me for my Hindu engagement photo shoot in Brooklyn, New York.
The Hindu engagement photo shoot (strangely enough!) occurred after my actual Hindu wedding ceremony on Saturday, June 30, 2018 in London. So, we knew the exact look we wanted to replicate and had my Hindu wedding pictures to refer to. I am delighted to share that Elizabeth's work product was as glamorous and traditional as my actual Hindu wedding day! I have become a bit of a wedding expert having had three separate ceremonies of my own - a Civil, Catholic, & Hindu ceremony - and also being a bridesmaid in two weddings these past four years!
Admittedly, I was a bit nervous to work with anyone who was not very experienced in South Asian hair and makeup because for my Hindu ceremony, I had only worked with people who specialized in that area. Elizabeth and I openly discussed how this would be one of the first times she would do this specific look. She absolutely nailed it! Elizabeth was able to pull off a complicated hairdo with 8 different extension pieces, and even brought me several donuts to choose from for my hair bump along with plenty of hair fastening equipment. She was also able to place the veil perfectly so it flowed over the back of my hair, which framed the complicated hairdo just right.
Elizabeth did such a good job with my hair and makeup that my mother-in-law, a Hindu fashion expert, and I agreed that Elizabeth did an equally beautiful job on my hair and makeup as my artist for my Hindu wedding did. Elizabeth's look was exceptionally secure and polished, which was ideal for all the different poses I had to execute during the photo shoot in the park. -

Cannot recommend enough! Young but timeless, cool but chic, soft and with a glow! I found Beauty Icon on instagram and was already tired of my search to find makeup artists and hair stylists because many seems old fashioned to me. I was looking for a fun and soft look, something more natural with a glow and was scared to look too done up and not like myself. Paulina and Liz were exactly the artists&stylists I was looking for. They were so pleasant to work with and this is so important during the madness of wedding planning. -They were flexible in their arrival time which made the wedding day flow so much better. -My mom, mother-in-law and granda felt and looked so gorgeous and elegant. -My younger sister looked beautiful, the makeup and products that were used kept her looking fresh and were not heavy at all on her skin. -I had a very specific "natural but with a glow" look I was going for, and Paulina made sure I was loving it every step of the way (giving me the mirror, stopping and making sure I am happy). She put flowers in my hair, and when I looked in the mirror it was just perfect. Thank you so so much! -

The result is very happy: sturdy, light and very beautiful makeup. And the hairdo has perfectly complemented the image :) She gives herself up to work! It's a pleasure to communicate with her because she's just a wonderful person with a wonderful energy, and her work is just beyond praise)) Immediately feel the many years of her makeup experience.

With a busy work schedule, it feels like wedding planning is a 2nd job but with vendors like Liz who are extremely talented, communicative, thoughtful, and professional, it was honestly one of the best decisions I could have made for my wedding day. You will not regret booking any service, from helping you on your wedding day or if you just want to pamper yourself. I will definitely be calling on Liz again in the future!
On my wedding day, Liz and Paulina showed up punctually on time super early in the morning since I had a brunch reception. They knocked it out of the park! With 7 women, they completed everything early for photos and even jumped in last minute to do make up for 2 of my party! Everyone loved their hair and make up

Narmin Sent on 05/28/2018Elizabeth did my wedding hair and makeup, and even though the day was packed and we had to start very early in the morning, she was the first person to inject a lot of positivity into my day. She uses very light touch for makeup and all of her equipment was kept pristine, and the makeup was high quality and didn't cause any breakouts for me (I don't use makeup on a daily basis because 99.9% of brands make me break out). I loved the way my makeup turned out, and she was available throughout the day for any touch ups:) She also did my hairpiece to go with the outfits, and used minimal heat for hair styling.

I really didn't expect to look that good! I was nervous after my trial as I was still feeling out what I wanted and I wasn't sure they'd be able to get me there but on my wedding day I was blown away. I've never looked better and the look lasted all night.
