As a Type-A person who loves to plan, I’ll admit that giving up control on my wedding day was a little hard for me. However, from the very first call with the Colonial DJ's team, I knew I was in great hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with AC, Jeff, and Chris! AC was fantastic from the start—he asked all the right questions and really took the time to understand our vision. His attention to detail and thoughtful approach made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free.
On our wedding day, everyone arrived early and were ready to tackle anything that came their way. They made sure everything was set perfectly and kept everything and everyone running on time without ever making us feel rushed. My family and friends couldn’t stop raving about how professional, friendly, and efficient they were. They went above and beyond, we truly were able to enjoy the entire day because of them. Initially, I wasn’t sure if we needed a photo booth, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made—it was a huge hit! Jeff was an incredible DJ for our June wedding! We loved our experience working with Colonial DJ and Jeff was fantastic in working out our timeline and vision for our reception ahead of time. Jeff kept 3 generations on the dance floor all night long!

We were so worried about having a DJ that is fun, engaging and played the music we wanted them to play. Our friends danced all night and the music was NONSTOP for our wedding. As everyone knows, the DJ is the party master, the person that keeps things rolling throughout the night, and the beat of every moment. For our wedding Colonial DJ’s went above and beyond to make our night extremely memorable. Our amazing DJ Raphael was super personable, on time for everything, and was very professional. Many weddings that we have been to have had DJs that did not have a good flow, which leads to gaps in the music. Raphael, being the musical genius, was able to create a cohesive flow no matter the genre of music. He transitioned from slow country to contemporary rock, to edm and kept the music rolling. His transitions from song to song were amazing and even included drops in the music. Nothing says a good wedding like a live dance floor and Raphael was able to make that happen for us! We would highly recommend Colonial DJ’s for your wedding and I’d personably ask for Raphael as your musical mastermind!

I originally saw Colonial DJs at a bridal show prior to the pandemic. Carrie was very diligent about staying in touch with me. When we were ready to move forward with the wedding, Carrie helped set everything up and get the ball rolling. Talking to her is like talking to a long-lost friend. Jeff was our DJ for the evening. He was amazing! He was able to create a personalized wedding song for us in a short amount of time that made me cry! They sent us a copy of our love story they had written for us, which also made me cry. Jeff handled our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception - seamlessly! We even had a last-minute hiccup when my father had to unexpectedly leave prior to our dance and Jeff was able to quickly adjust my father-daughter dance to be a touching 1st dance with my son instead. Colonial DJs had a perfect set up for us and Jeff adjusted the evening as needed. I cannot say enough good things about them. Jeff was my DJ for my 5/22/21 wedding. Jeff came highly recommended, and he did not disappoint! From the beginning Jeff was great at communicating and making sure we were on the same page. Jeff, along with my wedding coordinator, came up with a timeline and stuck with it to keep the wedding reception flowing perfectly. Prior to the wedding, I did little planning as far as selecting songs I wanted played, and Jeff did an amazing job at selecting songs that kept everyone on the dance floor. Even my shyer relatives who never dance at weddings were on the dance floor! 100% recommend Jeff and Colonial DJs.

DJ Matt was great with the playlist and keeping the party going, and acted as a professional and clear MC for our reception. For the basic package, we received more than I thought we would, and I couldn't be happier!

As a fellow wedding vendor, we loved working with the Colonial DJ team 3 times in 2020. They communicated with us throughout the night to ensure we were prepared for each moment and kept people on the dance floor, with is so important for us so that we can capture the best reception photos. Jeff Bristow, CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) is the best! He and the rest of Colonial DJs are top notch. Best equipment, Up-lights, lasers, you name it, he’s got it. Having a wedding during the pandemic was not easy, but Jeff is a pro and a veteran in the industry and knows how to get the crowd going! He was supportive and accessible during the whole planning process of our wedding and went above and beyond with voice-overs and making sure we had a great playlist!
