Highly Recommend

As a Type-A person who loves to plan, I’ll admit that giving up control on my wedding day was a little hard for me. However, from the very first call with the Colonial DJ's team, I knew I was in great hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with AC, Jeff, and Chris! AC was fantastic from the start—he asked all the right questions and really took the time to understand our vision. His attention to detail and thoughtful approach made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free.
On our wedding day, everyone arrived early and were ready to tackle anything that came their way. They made sure everything was set perfectly and kept everything and everyone running on time without ever making us feel rushed. My family and friends couldn’t stop raving about how professional, friendly, and efficient they were. They went above and beyond, we truly were able to enjoy the entire day because of them. Initially, I wasn’t sure if we needed a photo booth, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made—it was a huge hit! Additionally, the uplighting transformed the atmosphere, creating a gorgeous ambiance. Thanks to AC, Jeff, Chris, and the entire team, our wedding at Kaplan Parish Hall was everything we dreamed of and more. Your professionalism, care, and thoughtfulness made all the difference, and we can’t thank you enough for making our day so special. BEST DJ! Danced all night!

We were so worried about having a DJ that is fun, engaging and played the music we wanted them to play. Our friends danced all night and the music was NONSTOP for our wedding. Jeff Bristow was professional, helpful and did everything we asked him to do. He played amazing music and mixed it well. We will recommend Jeff to all our friends for their weddings!

Party central

As everyone knows, the DJ is the party master, the person that keeps things rolling throughout the night, and the beat of every moment. For our wedding Colonial DJ’s went above and beyond to make our night extremely memorable. Our amazing DJ Raphael was super personable, on time for everything, and was very professional. Many weddings that we have been to have had DJs that did not have a good flow, which leads to gaps in the music. Raphael, being the musical genius, was able to create a cohesive flow no matter the genre of music. He transitioned from slow country to contemporary rock, to edm and kept the music rolling. His transitions from song to song were amazing and even included drops in the music. Nothing says a good wedding like a live dance floor and Raphael was able to make that happen for us! We would highly recommend Colonial DJ’s for your wedding and I’d personably ask for Raphael as your musical mastermind!

Get the party started!

I originally saw Colonial DJs at a bridal show prior to the pandemic. Carrie was very diligent about staying in touch with me. When we were ready to move forward with the wedding, Carrie helped set everything up and get the ball rolling. Talking to her is like talking to a long-lost friend. Jeff was our DJ for the evening. He was amazing! He was able to create a personalized wedding song for us in a short amount of time that made me cry! They sent us a copy of our love story they had written for us, which also made me cry. Jeff handled our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception - seamlessly! We even had a last-minute hiccup when my father had to unexpectedly leave prior to our dance and Jeff was able to quickly adjust my father-daughter dance to be a touching 1st dance with my son instead. Colonial DJs had a perfect set up for us and Jeff adjusted the evening as needed. I cannot say enough good things about them. Highly reccomend!

Jeff was my DJ for my 5/22/21 wedding. Jeff came highly recommended, and he did not disappoint! From the beginning Jeff was great at communicating and making sure we were on the same page. Jeff, along with my wedding coordinator, came up with a timeline and stuck with it to keep the wedding reception flowing perfectly. Prior to the wedding, I did little planning as far as selecting songs I wanted played, and Jeff did an amazing job at selecting songs that kept everyone on the dance floor. Even my shyer relatives who never dance at weddings were on the dance floor! 100% recommend Jeff and Colonial DJs.

Excellent to work with!

As a fellow wedding vendor, we loved working with the Colonial DJ team 3 times in 2020. Top Notch Experience

Jeff Bristow, CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) is the best! He and the rest of Colonial DJs are top notch. Best equipment, Up-lights, lasers, you name it, he’s got it. Having a wedding during the pandemic was not easy, but Jeff is a pro and a veteran in the industry and knows how to get the crowd going! He was supportive and accessible during the whole planning process of our wedding and went above and beyond with voice-overs and making sure we had a great playlist! Flexible, even in a pandemic!

Our wedding plans changed a lot between our first meeting with Jeff and the wedding itself. He accommodated all of the changes, up to the very last minute, and did an awesome job at both the ceremony where we did our first dance (we made some unusual COVID-inspired choices) and the reception. Perfect DJ

There's a reason why Colonial DJ's continually get such great reviews...because they do excellent work!! We loved working with Jeff B at Colonial - he was professional, funny, knowledgeable, and made our reception such a wonderful experience! Colonial also has a great client portal where you can work on forms for everything required for customizing your wedding day. It was so much fun to pick out the "must play" songs, while also knowing the "do not play" list would not see the light of day. Jeff was also excellent as the "MC" of our reception and did a great job introducing the bridal party and special songs. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Jeff and Colonial DJs. Amazing DJ Jeff!

Jeff was our DJ for our wedding and he did so awesome!! We had a dance party going all evening and he played all the songs I wanted and it was such a blast! He found and played our introduction song with no issues and MC'd the evening perfectly! I loved his suggestion of the garter reversal that we discussed prior to our big day and it ended up going perfectly! Jeff also did the shoe game for us which was so much fun! CJ killed it!

My husband and I decided to go with Colonial DJs for our reception and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out.
CJ was the DJ that we had and he was a real pleasure to work with. Due to our hectic schedules, CJ even met us at our home one evening to go over everything for the reception, and he had a lot of good ideas we had not even thought of.
The Colonial DJs website was also really helpful and easy to use for planning what music we wanted to play, as well as planning out the schedule of things happening at the reception.
On the day of the wedding, CJ did a great job of keeping everything running smoothly throughout the reception, and the dance floor was completely packed the entire night with all of our guests having a blast, which is exactly what we wanted. CJ even worked with us to have one final dance, just my husband and I, after all of our guests were ushered outside to prepare for our departure.
I can’t say enough good things about CJ and Colonial DJs for helping us have the wedding of our dreams.

We had a great time working with Howie with Colonial DJs. We loved the website they have to help you customize your songs for the ceremony and reception. Quality for the price is exceptional!

From the day we booked with them to wedding day, everything was smooth and efficient. The website was easy to use. All of our phone conversations were very pleasant. Our DJ was Jeff. He called us the week before the wedding to go over timeline and last minute details. He showed up early and was very pleasant to work with. Throughout the whole evening he was AWESOME at helping us keep on track with our timeline. We changed our timeline a lot throughout the wedding and he just rolled with it and made it happen. Easy to work with and quality sounds

I am so happy to share the wonderful experience we had with Colonial DJ’s at our daughter’s recent Watermen’s Museum wedding and reception on the beach in Yorktown!
My initial meeting with Jeff Bristow put me at ease and convinced me we had made the right choice. I realized we had hired far more than music. We had hired an experience master of ceremonies who would keep the event moving and put everyone in a joyous, happy mood!
With each subsequent meeting with other vendors, the response was always the same. Whether it was the caterer, day of planner, or photographer, they enthusiastically said, “ Jeff Bristow is going to be your DJ? You have the best! It will be a great event!”
And, indeed, Jeff worked closely with all those vendors in the days preceding the wedding, making sure the schedule of events went smoothly.
The sound quality was amazing in all three locations - at the beach for ceremony, up on a high deck for cocktails, and under the tent for dinner and dancing.
He was willing to meet with us and plan things along the way. The bride and groom and parents had opportunities to choose music for each part of the wedding and reception. And when we did not have ideas for a particular part of the evening, Jeff asked what mood we wanted for that moment and was quick to offer suggestions.
“Soft piano instrumentals as guests arrive? Got it! Pachelbel’s Cannon in D for entrance? This is a lovely version.
Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra might be good for cocktail hour...
Which version of Stand by Me does the couple want? What are the favorite songs for the parents? What would your guests like to dance to? No problem! We’ll get them all up having fun!”
He thought of everything. He even worked with guest singers the week before to find the appropriate music.
AND... he made a very big deal of our little granddaughter/flower girl, even playing a song for her.
Our officiant was from Pennsylvania and had performed over 150 weddings. Rev. Johnson said Jeff was the best DJ she has encountered. She described his voice as a kind, loving radio personality voice that put everyone in a party mood!

Jeff made our small wedding a blast!

Jeff was the DJ for our wedding. He was the DJ for both of my older sisters weddings and when it came to picking a DJ for our wedding we knew we wanted Colonial DJs! How was awesome!

We had Howie DJ our wedding at the Williamsburg Winery this weekend. We had less than 75 people, yet there were always people on the dance floor with Howie's mix of 70--80s dance songs along with more modern requests. He was also great about asking us if we were okay with a couple of requests that were more along the lines of our Do Not Play list. Howie was also wonderful to work with before the ceremony, going over each detail, and making us feel confident that our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner would be fun and relaxing for everyone!

Howie is the best!

From the very first time meeting him in person we knew Howie was kind, easy to talk to, and genuinely cared about how well our experience would be. Our ceremony and reception went amazing - and his musical talent was the perfect touch. Our guests had an amazing time dancing and he did a great job of reading the crowd and taking requests. Fun and easy to work with!

Jeff did a great job DJ-ing. The ceremony music and the other special music were played and the announcements were made exactly when we wanted them to be. We let him decide what to play during the dinner and what he picked was very pleasant and non-intrusive which helped create a good atmosphere during the dinner.

The dancing was a great success, even though we had picked out a bunch of songs we wanted Jeff to play during the night, he really did a great job of choosing what songs to play when. The dance music had a nice progression, and Jeff kept it from being monotonic while at the same time making the change from one type of song to another feel natural and welcome.
We filled in the event questionnaire Jeff asked us to fill in, providing him with knowledge of what songs and announcements we wanted and when we wanted them. The survey was complex, but it was relatively easy to fill in. I liked how they had a must play/play if possible section for requests, and I really appreciated how they asked about any topics that may be sensitive in the survey. We spent some time filling it in, but it really paid off during the wedding.

We highly recommend Jeff for those who are looking for a DJ to play at their wedding.

Great DJ! Would Definitely Recommend

Colonial DJ was very easy to work with. I would highly recommend. They are highly responsive and professional. DJ Howie Rocked it!

We had DJ Howie and his wife Karen for our wedding reception at Williamsburg Winery. They were very professional from first interaction on. I had to plan my wedding from Florida (long distance) and they were completely accommodating! Howie played every song I requested and ensured that everything had planned went according to the plan!! Karen was great with the photo booth which was a COMPLETE HIT. WOW!
They were thorough and I loved the online planning portal they have on their site!!! An OCD person like myself would love this couple! ha!!!

Howie was hands down one of the best parts of our wedding. During the planning process he made sure that we were always on the same page and that he knew exactly what our vision was for our wedding. Jeff did an awesome job! I was a little nervous about how the music during the ceremony would sound, since we were in an outdoor venue but everything went smoothly and sounded great. Our guests had a blast, he kept the energy up all evening - thank you for everything!

We had Howie from Colonial DJs and had the easiest experience working with him. He was so friendly, played just what we wanted, and timed everything for both our ceremony and reception perfectly. They have an online questionnaire and song request page that is really simple to use and very thorough. They made the whole night run smoothly. Definitely recommend!

I worked at a venue in Newport News for 2 years and ALWAYS happily referred Jeff and his team to my clients. Every single client was so happy with the services from Colonial DJs! From a business perspective, they are incredibly responsive and reliable, and they offer much more than just a DJ (photo booth, uplighting, etc.). This past summer, I referred Jeff to my close friend whose wedding I was in, and unsurprisingly, he was a huge hit. He took requests from the guests (per the bride's instruction) and had the best/funniest comments throughout the night. He was so amazing that my fiance and I have asked him to travel down to SC to DJ our wedding this August, and I'm so excited to have a great friend and great DJ to provide the entertainment for my wedding! We got married this past November and had Jeff as our DJ and he was absolutely amazing!!!!! Being in the business before our wedding, I knew who I wanted as our DJ the minute we got engaged and they didn't disappoint! Jeff was the sweetest and accommodated any requests our guests had during the wedding reception! I don't think the dance floor was ever empty throughout the reception! We got married on Nov 4, 2017 and man oh man, Howie from Colonial DJs was just the best!!! A.C. Walker was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!!! We were able to discuss the details of my wedding reception on the phone prior to the event, and he ROCKED THE HOUSE. He completely understood my vision, and I couldn't have asked for anything more. He checked in with us throughout the event to make sure everything was going how we wanted to, and to see if there was anything else that we needed/wanted. I cannot say enough good things about A.C. Howie was great! He was very accommodating - meeting us close to where we live instead of their office. He was a great MC - very personable. One of our guests told us he had been to many weddings, and our DJ was by far the best. He really knows how to read and engage the crowd.

AC did a fantastic job! It was drizzling for my ceremony and he went out and bought a small tent for his equipment and umbrellas for us. He was prompt and touched base with me throughout the night to ensure that everything was going as planned, he kept things on time and I can't think of how things could have run smoother. I don't think my wedding would have been as good as it was without him. If I am being nit-picky he mixed up my name with one of my bridesmaids when he announced us and announced me as Mrs. [husbands name] which for me was pretty insulting but I know for most people they wouldn't care. Overall though I would still highly recommend him, he really went above and beyond.

We chose Colonial DJ's from the recommendation of a DJ who was not available for my daughter's wedding date. We are so glad we did! Our initial meeting was with Jeff and he was great. These guys are the real deal! Howie was the DJ for our wedding last weekend, and we could not have asked for a better experience. Howie really took the time to get to know my husband and I and to put together a celebration that was uniquely ours - he even recommended the photographer we ended up hiring. No matter what crazy questions or requests I had, he was always extremely gracious and accommodating - the consummate professional! Everything went off without a hitch, from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, and their prices are more than reasonable. Howie also deserves an extra special shout out for putting together a great night of fun despite my husband and I giving him exactly zero songs for our preferred song list. Thank you Colonial DJs for helping us dance the night away! We won't soon forget it.

We hired Jeff for both Friday and Saturday night for my Fiance and I's April 2017 wedding. After the Rehearsal Dinner on Friday night, we did a Karaoke party for all of our family and friends who came into town early to celebrate with us!! We ALL had the BEST time with Karaoke! Colonial Djs was very professional and responsive from the first contact. I felt their prices were great value. We had a last minute change in our DJ due to a family emergency, but CJ stepped in and did everything we asked. Our guests had a great time and were dancing all night!! Colonial DJ's is the best! We worked with DJ Howie and he was fantastic! We live across country and he did a great job keeping in contact with us and helping us every step of the way. He played the music at both the ceremony and the reception, even splitting up the song we wanted for the bridal party to walk out to so everything was timed perfectly. He kept the dance floor full at the reception at all times and even helped show the dance moves to those who might not know. We had our wedding at the Williamsburg Winery last weekend and Jeff was our amazing DJ!! He was wonderful from day 1! Colonial DJs was recommended to us by our venue and Jeff was actually one of their favorite DJs they had worked with in the past, and I can see why! He was the only DJ I met with and knew he would be perfect for our big day! He was extremely professional and easy to work with. Jeff was wonderful for us as I am not a party planner and had idea what all could possibly be involved with planning music and entertainment for a wedding. He was patient, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. It was such a pleasure to work with him. He helped make our day so much fun and followed all of our requests and guest requests. The sound and music were flawless from the ceremony to cocktail hour and reception! He is truly a professional and he was one vendor that was 100% dependable. He also informed me ahead of time if he would be out of town or unavailable in case he wouldn't be able to respond as quickly as he normally does via email, etc. this was great to know he hadn't forgotten about us and didn't require further follow up. He helped create and keep our timeline moving and was there to guide us every step of the way! Our guests all LOVED him. My younger siblings (under 20) and grandparents (75+) and everyone in between could not say enough good things about him! Could not have imagined this day without Jeff working with us to make it everything we imagined and more! I HIGHLY recommend Colonial DJs for any occasion!

Thank you Colonial DJs and CJ for making our wedding AMAZING!!! I didn't give CJ much direction on the music just told him we wanted everyone dancing and he did not disappoint! The dance floor was packed the entire night! Everyone young and old were having a great time! CJ even came out and taught the cha cha slide so everyone could partake in the fun! Plus he coordinated my sparkler send off which I'm sure wasn't easy with 100+ people after a 5 hour open bar. We had the pleasure of working with Howie Alexander from Colonial DJs for our wedding and he was awesome to work with! He answered all of our questions during planning sessions, and was very organized from start to finish. Colonial DJs utilizes an online planning program which makes things really easy to work on from home. They help you plan for all the small details you might forget otherwise! As far as day-of services, Howie provided music during our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and then moved inside for the reception. He used all the songs we had given him for the ceremony, and ran an amazing reception party. The dance floor was packed all night and we were on schedule throughout. Thanks, Howie!

We had Howie for our DJ and were so pleased! I'm not sure if the wedding would have ran as smooth as it did without him. He was an amazing DJ (played the songs we wanted and read the crowd perfectly)! He is definitely a seasoned professional- the audio setup was perfect and the help he provided with the flow of the entire wedding.

OMG! I just looked at the USB pictures from the photo booth we rented from Colonial DJs for my daughter's wedding this past weekend. I am crying, I'm laughing so hard. Chris Hansin with Colonial DJ's did a FANTASTIC job with our ceremony and reception! He used all requested songs and dances and made everything flow together perfectly! He even did an amazing job with bringing our reception to life!! We have friends and family who don't prefer to dance, but he made it a great time getting them out of their seats! I highly recommend getting lights added to your package for a fun and memorable time! My son had requests and he fulfilled them with pleasure. Our wedding was a little over a year ago and we are still talking about Chris. We LOVED having him DJ our wedding not only because he was so fun, but he was flexible and really listened to the needs of the crowd. I did make a list of songs I would like to have played and while not all of them did, he made the right choices on what to play.

I inquired about a couple things I would like to have done at our wedding. like the anniversary dance, and he made them happen so seamlessly. My husband's grandfather asked him if he could perform a song and Chris approached us and asked if that was all right. He was so respectful and willing to be the one to say no if we didn't want it to happen. However, we were fine with it and Chris engineered the whole thing in a matter of minutes to be a quick Elvis karaoke for Grandpa. It was awesome! We seriously loved having him there, he made our night so special.

My husband and I went with Colonial DJs for our June 25, 2016 wedding and wedding reception. From the very first meeting with Jeff, we were completely sold and satisfied. Jeff was very professional and patient with us. He had a nice services presentation set up, brochures with price layouts and answered all our questions. He set us up with one of his BEST DJs, Chris Hansin. Chris was very easy to communicated with, gave amazing suggestions and was just an overall great fit for our event. He was WELL VERSED in all genres of music. He even got out on the floor and spoke with our guests for suggestions and openly took requests. He was organized in getting our song lists before the wedding and helping us decide on songs.
Colonial also handled the sound for our wedding ceremony and coordinated with our pianist and singer to provide excellent sound.
Last, but not least, they provided AMAZING uplighting for our event that totally transformed the room!! We were beyond satisfied with the services of Colonial Djs and would recommended them to anyone without hesitation!

Walter Baker and my experience with Colonial DJs was absolutely heartwarming. I felt so bad for Walter at my reception. My small town experienced a tragic accident where everyone was leaving to support the family, but I can assure you that Walter's DJ skills were not an issue in the least. We first saw Jeff DJ at our best friends wedding a little under two years ago. Being from VA beach all we've seen at weddings was Astro entertainment. We were so impressed with Jeffs performance that as soon as we got engaged (a week after our best friends wedding--and yes I caught the bouquet lol), we knew exactly who we wanted. Jeff goes above and beyond to make sure his clients have the best day possible. He worked with my aunt and uncle behind the scenes so he could help set them up to play guitar and sing in our ceremony and even came early to help them do a quick sound check prior to the guests arrival. The photo booth and props were amazing and it was slam packed the entire night. I can be be very organized so I sent a schedule list to Jeff and he blew it out of the water--everything went as smooth as possible. I can't say enough about how impressed we were with colonial DJs. If you are looking for someone who genuinely cares for their clients, enjoys their job and knows how to get the party started then we highly recommend them for any event!

Jeff and Colonial DJs emceed our wedding reception at Two Rivers Country Club in Williamsburg, VA - and they were great! Very responsive ahead of the wedding to our calls and emails. Their online planning tool was well done too and kept track of all the details (including ones we hadn't thought of). We felt like we were in good hands ahead of the wedding. Jeff and company have got a huge music library too, but didn't hesitate to track down one song we liked that wasn't in the library. Jeff had some great music suggestions too. The whole operation was very well organized and professional. Jeff was a fun and positive emcee for our wedding reception and kept the dance floor packed. We'd definitely recommend Colonial DJs for your wedding!

Howie was amazing!! He was so sweet and truly made our wedding day a blast! All of my guests continue to comment on how fun our wedding was! Trust me, the last thing you want is to worry about ANYTHING during your reception. Howie makes sure that everything you want happens and he is also flexible when you decide to switch things up on him at the very last minute! So happy that we went with Colonial DJs! :-)

We rented Colonial DJ's lovely photo booth for my daughter's wedding reception at Ford's Colony, and it turned out to be a HUGE hit with all of our wedding guests the entire night! Young and old had a blast with the concept and the costumes, and many of them visited the booth multiple times ... it was soooooo much fun to watch. The photo album that came with the package was definitely a bonus "memory-maker" for the newlyweds. We've all had many good laughs re-reading what the guests wrote beside their photo strip in the album. The booth itself was very attractive, and the staff -- extremely professional and friendly. I will highly recommend using Colonial DJ's Photo Booth to everyone for any event!

My wife and I had the pleasure of booking Colonial DJs for our recent wedding and could not have been happier with our choice! Our DJ (Howie) was fantastic to work with, helping us every step of the way, and walking us through the process of planning the music for each part of our reception. The online planning forms and worksheets that Howie went through with my wife and I during our one-on-one in-person planning session were invaluable in helping us plan everything from the bridal party entrance music to the schedule of events to the final song--everything down to the last detail. They were so accommodating of all of our requests and helped us customize everything to make it unique and specifically tailored for us, even creating a special mix/medley of song clips to use for my mother-son dance. As a groom, music was the thing I probably cared most about in terms of planning the reception, and working with Colonial DJs made everything so easy and stress-free. The reception went off without a hitch, Howie was a fantastic emcee, and the music selection was exactly what I had envisioned. I would highly recommend Colonial DJs to anyone as the best option for anyone looking for a great DJ for their wedding.

Jeff was awesome to work with, he was able to accommodate all of our song requests and everyone was dancing the entire night away! The selections were perfect for our group, and everyone had an amazing time!

Colonial DJs were such a pleasure and so easy to work with. They provided a convenient "worksheet" online on their site where we could put our choices for must play songs, do not plays, and play if possible. We had them do the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Our DJ was Jeff and he did an awesome job! Followed our requests for music, kept the volume just right, and always had some of our guests out on the dance floor dancing away!

Jeff with Colonial DJ's provided DJ, Emcee and Photo Booth Services for our Holiday Open House and was fantastic, fun and very professional. He arrived the day before to pre-set and check out the location for power and logistics. He arrived early the day of the event to finish set-up, go over our announcements and music requests. He was very engaging and fun throughout the party and went above and beyond, even donated a fabulous door prize! We have been working with Colonial DJ's for several years and are always "over the moon" happy with their professionalism and service.

We had Walter as our DJ - and he was FANTASTIC! Very professional and easy to work with, he kept the atmosphere going all night. We asked for a less-than-mainstream song for our entrance ("Love Don't Roam" performed by Neil Hannon) and not only did he find it - he timed it perfectly! We gave him pretty free reign of the music selection with just a list of don't-play-no-matter-what songs, and he kept everyone dancing and having a great time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND both this company and Walter as a DJ. Worth every penny!

Jeff was the reason our wedding was SO MUCH FUN! I keep hearing from guests days later that nobody wanted to leave the dance floor. That is a sign of a good reception and a FANTASTIC DJ! Thank you for being attentive to our every request and for including everyone into the fun; kids, young couples, and even grandparents. I had so many guests approach me to tell me how great Jeff was the entire night and how smooth it went! Another huge thanks for providing the photobooth which was a major hit with the entire crowd! We will surely be telling all of our friends about everyone at Colonial DJs and how professional and amazing they were from our initial consultation to the reception!

Jeff from Colonial DJs did an amazing job at our wedding!! He played songs we requested and also songs he knew our crowd would enjoy. The Love Story was a perfect touch to our night and was nice to incorporate our entire relationship along with humor into our special day. Colonial DJ's did an amazing job at our wedding! Jeff was great to work with: responsive and accommodating! He worked with us to edit out first dance and sound exactly the way we wanted. We also contracted with Colonial DJ's to provide uplighting at the wedding. It looked AMAZING. I would recommend Colonial DJ's to any bride looking for a DJ!!

Jeff Bristow is a phenomenal DJ with a fun personality. He was such a joy to work with from start to finish. He was very organized and thorough. He really listened to what my husband's and my wishes were for our wedding reception. He made it unforgettable! Our guests absolutely loved our love story. What a unique aspect of the reception. Jeff Bristow did a fantastic job at our wedding! Everything flowed smoothly from the start of the ceremony to the end of the night. We ended up adding an extra hour of music because people were having so much fun on the dance floor. Excellent service and well worth the money!

DJ Howie at Colonial DJs is outstanding to work with! He is flexible, responsive, a great listener, and delivers. He always made us feel like our day was special and he was open to any and all new ideas we presented to him. We had the pleasure of working with Jeff from Colonial DJs. Jeff was so helpful from our first meeting; he was very professional and made sure to answer all of my many questions. He did a great job of making sure we had all the music we wanted and helped us pick out some beautiful uplighting for the reception. The ceremony and reception were fantastic! The lighting looked beautiful and Jeff did a great job of getting people out on the dance floor while incorporating many of our music choices. Jeff at Colonial DJs was absolutely fantastic. Not only did he provide music for our wedding reception, he provided music for our ceremony as well. We had trouble making a lot of the decisions, but Jeff helped us out a lot; and more importantly he was very flexible right up to the last minute as we made a few changes. We could not be more happy and satisfied with our selection of Jeff @ Colonial DJs to help us put together the most wonderful day of our lives. Everyone loved the ceremony music, the dinner music, and the reception, full of fun and dancing. Jeff helped to make it just right, and make the entire event memorable. Jeff is fantastic! My mother saw him at a bridal show and immediately knew she wanted him at our wedding. A few days later my MOH said her friends dad did weddings and we needed to look into him. Turns out that they were one in the same! Jeff was a blast to work with from the start. He had lots of fun suggestions for songs and seemed to love all of our silly ideas. I never once felt like I was being pressured into buying a package I didn't need. He gave us exactly what we wanted and delivered perfectly. Jeff was an absolute blast and made sure there were no lulls in the reception. He was great about getting people up and moving and keeping them on the dance floor. He is a true professional and great at his job. There is no way I will ever use another DJ service for any event ever. I am so glad we choose Jeff and Colonial over the other local "major" company. Both price and performance wise they blew the competitor out of the water. Thank you so much!

Our DJ for the evening was Mr. Jeff Bristow. Jeff was an absolute delight to work with! He was so personable, yet professional. My now husband and I were very nervous about the wedding because we are both somewhat shy, but Jeff really put our minds at ease. We were working with a budget and we were very happy with the package pricing. His up lighting and dance floor lighting really set the mood, and he knew just what to do to get guests out on the dance floor.

Jeff from Colonial DJ's was AWESOME! He showed up early. and ended up having to move indoors at the last second due to rain.

Prior to the wedding we spoke a few times, and worked together to get the right style for the wedding, cocktail hour and the reception. He helped me with all o f the selections- THANK GOODNESS. He made great suggestions and he even set up a few extra up lights free just to make sure the pace was perfect. He didn't have to, he just took the initiative to enhance the product. And he was right, it made the difference.

My Guests and the wedding party absolutely loved him. He set the tone for everything and WOW he did a great job doing so. my wedding consisted of friends and tequila in their 20's to family in their 70s 80s and 90s! and somehow, this man got both crowds on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG. Even my kids didn't take a break. I have no idea how grandparents and great aunts were going the Wobble. and his throw back dance tunes had the younger crowd on the floor too. He has a great energy and very positive encouraging method to keeping people in the right mindset for a party/ reception. We all had a blast.

I also has a special service performed at the end of the reception that was a secret to everyone- even the groom. He took the time to ensure he was synced in time with the other vendor and kept my secret safe and helped me shock the whole audience with the surprise. Thanks Jeff. you are awesome, it was AWESOME. You rock~!
