Mike was absolutely the best! I wanted a destination wedding without heading to the Caribbean. Mike on the steel drums set the ambiance perfectly! He played as our guests arrived and during our cocktail hour. My now husband’s family is from Jamaica and they were highly impressed with his talents. Cannot recommend enough for your next steel drum needs!

Tona was wonderful to work with as I planned my wedding, and was incredibly flexible with the pieces I wanted played. I had several pieces that the quartet hadn't played before, and she was able to have them played in the keys I requested, and also work with the soloist I had. The quartet arrived on time, was appropriately dressed, and worked well with my wedding planner and event staff. They were also very flexible with weather for my outdoor ceremony- it rained just before and just after the ceremony and it was an uncovered spot, and they were still willing to perform outside. I did have two issues with them- I requested a string quartet, and (due to a death in someone's family, I believe?) they ended up substituting a flutist instead of one of the strings. I really like that they made it work, despite something beyond their control, but I worked really hard to choose string quartet music, had always wanted a string quartet, and they didn't warn me that it would be different, so I was disappointed. The other minor thing was that it was a windy day, and some of the musicians' music blew away at the end, so instead of a recessional piece for my husband and I to walk down the aisle to, we got... silence. Again, I have sympathy with the weather, but since they knew the ceremony would be outside, I wish they had brought music stands that would secure their music. That was the piece I was most looking forward to, and it was an awkward wait for music, and then an awkward walk down the aisle in silence. All in all, though, I was pleased with Aida Quartet- very professional, and the sound was wonderful (my undergrad degree is in music, so I was a very discerning listener, too!).

Timothy provided lovely music on the hammered dulcimer for our garden wedding and during the reception. We received many compliments from our guests. The staff on the Dandy commented that this was some of the most enjoyable music they had experienced.

Anna, is such an amazing human and incredibly talented musician. I reached out to Anna and she was extremely responsive. We set up a time where my fiancé and myself met with her to discuss music and the ceremony. At the rehearsal and the wedding ceremony she conducted herself in an extremely professional manner. Anna is such a pleasure to work with. She has a beautiful voice and plays the piano beautifully. Whatever you need classical, jazz, or pop Anna is your girl! She made my wedding day so beautiful with her amazing talent!

Well.... I decided I needed a violinist about 2 weeks prior to my wedding. Having listened to Deanna's sample music on her website, I knew I had to have her! As a crazy bride, I called and emailed her. She was prompt to call me back and said that she would love to work my wedding. Little did I know she was on vacation in Alaska. She went above and beyond to assure me that she would save my date and work out the details upon her return. She followed through on all her promises and she was wonderful. She made the most special moments of our wedding that much more special with her beautiful music. We highly recommend this wonderful violinist!!!

As the bride and groom, we wanted to capture the fleeting, unforgettable moments of our big day as we’ve been told it goes by in the blink of an eye! We were fortunate enough to receive a recommendation from our wedding venue, Norfolk Botanical Gardens, for an incredibly talented live string quartet, The Galliard Trio, who exceeded our every expectation! We mostly interacted with Kathy from The Galliard Trio, and what struck us most about Kathy was her ability to capture, transform and bring to life the ideas we had for the vision of the ceremony and cocktail hour without missing a beat. Her attention to detail and artistic ear brought out the smallest, most tender moments that may have otherwise been overlooked. We received so many compliments on our music selection for the ceremony! The Galliard Trio were not only a master with strings, but were also true professionals. They arrived on time, maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, and made us feel truly at ease throughout the whole day! Kathy’s level of communication is impeccable as she was always willing to answer an email or call whenever we had a question, so we knew we were in good hands the day of the wedding. They were true champions throughout our outdoor wedding, on July 12th, in Virginia! Kathy even suggested many helpful tips as we were working to make our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour playlists! During the ceremony and cocktail hour, they played all of our chosen music and kept the energy light and airy the whole night. We’ve had several guests mention to us, when talking about the wedding, how good the music selection was and how much fun they had! We owe a lot to The Galliard Trio! Working with The Galliard Trio has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their exceptional talent, professionalism, and dedication to their craft makes them a stand out choice in the world of live wedding music!
