Finding a wedding photographer is not an easy task. When we came upon Closer North, we fell in love with their photos and knew they were just what we were looking for! I reached out and Erica responded right away and answered all my questions. We had our engagement shoot with Ember and she was amazing! I can not say enough about the entire team at Closer North.. I myself have been a huge fan since it was only Erica Godino. I've have always said if and when I got married that Closer North would be our Photographer..
First off Erica is amazing she answered any and all of our questions and eliminated all of our worries promptly never left this stressed Bride hanging.. Which was an incredible relief because I was planning my Maine wedding from 1300 miles away in Kentucky.. We had very limited amount of time to get our engagement photos done because we were only in Maine for one week before the wedding and my husband was only there for 36 hours but Erica and Hillary worked with us and we found a beautiful Friday evening in June to sneak them in.. Everyone was so very accommodating.. Erica helped us with a working timeline for the big day cause I seriously had no idea how to fit everything and to get the most out of our day without added stress.. The day of the wedding Hillary and Kelly were early came right in and took action and things went soo smoothly.. Hillary went above and beyond and helped me hook my bracelet and reminded us to button my dress (buttons that covered the zipper). Even though it was very chilly fall Maine day the girls made the best of it. We had so much fun with Hillary out taking our bride and groom photos we laughed climbed banks in heels sat on docks it was soo great to have that time just us.. We had sneak peeks on social media in days of the wedding and then had our entire album on flash drive in our mailbox by the end of the month it was an incredible turn around. My husband couldn't believe we had them back so quickly, with such amazing quality.. We are sooo in love with all our photos and can not pick a favorite to save our lives they are all so amazing!! I would 10 out of 10 recommend Closer North to any bride..

We feel so lucky to have found Closer North in our search for a wedding photographer. We are completely obsessed with our photos! We received our photos in the most beautiful package. All black and white as well as color editing. When looking for a wedding photographer ,look no further! Erica was professional and quick to answer any questions we had. She was a huge help with our timeline the day of the wedding. We wanted to make sure we had two photographers to capture our day. Hillary and Kelly were amazing the day of our wedding! Obsessed! Choosing a photographer was a daunting task for us with the added pressure of having these pictures for the rest of our lives. We feel so relieved and lucky to have found Closer North. Hired Closer North and Ember was our photographer! She is very easy going and directive at the same time. We only did 4 hours of coverage and did not need more, they capture a lot! Erica is a smooth planner, helper, editor and gets your photos out timely. Perfect.

We recently used Closer North’s photographic services for our celebration in Maine. Our event was originally scheduled for May 2020, which is what we first hired them for, working out all the timing details, etc. Covid rules meant the wedding ended up held in a small backyard garden in UK, and the whole Maine event was restructured. Erica worked back and forth with us to re-plan with the new focus of celebrating the couple. She sent us Ember as the photographer, who was excellent. Ember adapted to any requests we had about people, place, etc, and she also made many helpful suggestions. Erica turned things around quickly, sending us a couple of pictures to whet our appetite, and then soon thereafter, sent the well-organized thumb drive of the whole portfolio. We got a nice combination of casual and posed, couple and family/friend groups, venue setup, and even some cute ones of our two dogs! It is such fun to go through the photos together, and we look forward to reflecting on these memories through the elegant photography!

We don't have words to describe how amazing Erica was throughout the entire process. We were very nervous going into our engagement photoshoot but she really did an amazing job at making us feel comfortable and capturing the best moments. The engagement photoshoot got us super excited for the actual wedding day and the turnaround time was lightning speed for the actual edited pictures \. When it came to the wedding day, both Erica and Hillary came and were ready to help us in anyway and capture every single special moment of the big day. (They were both great with pre-wedding jitters and bowties) We couldn't have asked for better photographers. Erica always went above and beyond to capture the moment and really made sure we stayed on schedule while at the same time making sure everyone felt included and beautiful. Same as with the engagement photoshoot, the turnaround time for the photos was fast and we had sneak peaks within a couple days. Please don't hesitate to hire Erica and her team for any event or occasion!

After we got engaged, I spent a lot of time researching different local photographers and started following their social media pages to see their photography styles. I had followed Closer North on Facebook for a few years prior as they photographed weddings of other friends and I always admired the light and airy look of their photos. I reached out to many different photographers for information about services and pricing during the planning process, but after considering all the options, my now husband and I decided to book Closer North for our wedding photography. I am so happy we did!

I did most of my planning and correspondence through e-mail and social media due to my busy work schedule and I knew immediately after my first conversation with Erica that Closer North would be perfect for us. Erica always responded promptly, professionally and answered any questions I had making the planning process very easy. Pricing was very competitive compared to other local photographers without sacrificing quality. I was able to pay Erica via Venmo in installments leading up the big day which was super easy and convenient. We decided on an 8 hour package with 2 shooters for our winter wedding. We did the complimentary engagement shoot with Hillary at our camp over the summer where we got to meet her and establish a connection prior to our wedding. The quality of those photos really confirmed that we made the right choice in choosing Closer North to capture our wedding day.

Hillary and Karin captured our big day and arrived on time and eager to start photographing everything. I am so happy we opted for a second shooter to help capture as many special moments as possible. Both Hillary and Karin were very pleasant and professional. It was a very cold day, but they didn’t hesitate to get those winter wonderland shots we were so hoping for! Erica edited our photos quickly and I had all of our wedding photos back about 2 weeks after our wedding day. I am so pleased with how everything turned out.
