We can't thank The Britt Scripps Manor in San Diego, CA enough for the most incredible wedding day. My husband and I wanted an intimate Victorian themed wedding and a murder mystery rehearsal dinner. In 3 months, this team put together our murder mystery rehearsal dinner, 50-person ceremony/reception and executed it flawlessly. We are SO happy with the choice we made hosting our special day there! Our wedding was nothing short of "happily ever after" with the breathtaking backdrop of the tree overlooking the manor. All of our family and friends who attended absolutely loved it. They raved about the picturesque ceremony site, the glamorous and classy interior, the delicious food, our signature drinks, the friendly service and the overall ambiance. Working with both the management and the crew was fine. We couldn't have been more pleased with the incredible service provided by Louisa, the coordinator, Keegan, the property manager, and Jesse, the chef. I felt completely at ease with Louisa being in charge of our entire event from start to finish. Their whole team put our dream wedding together in 3 months. They answered all of my questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. I can't recommend her and the Britt Scripps Manor enough! Thank you for making our special day a memory we will treasure for a lifetime!

We are so happy with our wedding at the Britt Scripps Manor. The entire staff was so helpful, flexible, and a pleasure to work with! Chris the property manager worked with us on everything! We ended up with a great package that included all of the things that were important to us. We loved that the venue package included the food and beverage and day-of coordinator all at a good price. We only had to find the DJ, florist, cake, and photographer. Made everything so much easier.
Amanda, the day-of coordinator, was phenomenal. We couldn't have done it without her! She handled every single detail of the evening allowing us to simply enjoy it! She was a lot of fun too and kept everyone in a great mood and relaxed throughout the night! Her and Tricia (owner of Tricia Dahlgren events, the in-house partner of BSM) were extremely responsive to all emails leading up to our wedding day -- I mean usually within minutes! Helped us feel confident as the day approached.
The food was amazing. Executive chef Jesse Brockman prepared an amazing tasting night of food and cocktails and then tailored every dish exactly how we wanted it. Super flexible and the sky was basically the limit for food choices and drink choices. The open bar was great. We had 3 excellent beers of our choice and two signature cocktails that all the guests loved. We're talking lavender-infused vodka highball with black salt rim and orchid garnish and a green chartreuse old fashioned. Everyone raved about the food and beverage.
Not but definitely not least, you get the whole mansion for the whole weekend! This was so awesome. The furnishings in the house are all either original or highly upgraded. For example, all of the appliances in the loft's kitchen are SMEG and also SONOS sound system throughout. It was luxury living truly. All of the 7 bedrooms are themed differently and it is such a fun house to stay in. We had our rehearsal dinner pizza in the HUGE loft.. Uh oh out of space!! A+++

Britt Scripps Manor was the perfect venue in downtown San Diego for our intimate and non-traditional wedding. With several events spread throughout the weekend, BSM’s lovingly maintained historic home and grounds provided space for a ceremony, dinner reception, dancing, and brunch. Centrally located near Balboa Park, we even coordinated a bike ride through the city the day before our wedding. My partner and I wanted a wedding that felt warm, heartfelt, and reflected our values. The team at BSM made our weekend incredibly memorable and carefree. The venue itself is breathtaking and perfectly restored with incredible stained glass and finished touches throughout. Very minimal decor was needed to make the space feel special. BSM comes with an all inclusive catering package that was both easy and delicious. We loved working with their chef to create a menu that our guests continue to rave about. One of the highlights of our weekend included staying on site for two nights with our wedding party. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and there are some terrific spaces on the third floor to get ready and spend time with guests before the event. Additionally, having access to a weekend long rental eased the stress of set up and take down. Finally, the coordinated team was well prepared and professional every step of the way. For example, the day of our late June wedding was a bit chillier than anticipated, but the BSM coordinator helped us to come up with some last minute solutions to keep our guests warm throughout the night. We are so pleased to have worked with Britt Scripps Manor to host our wedding. If this space is available for your event, you’ll want to nab it!!
