The head waiter, Mel was very professional and attentive; the staff was great and food was delicious.

I used Primavera for my wedding planning and catering for our dinner and Sunday brunch. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company and its staff. My planner, Briana, was a dream to work with and her experience and knowledge blew me away. Her attention to detail and care throughout the entire process was unmatched. Not to mention, the food was fabulous - all of our guests raved about it. Many of my family and friends have also used Briana and Primavera for their events. I’m so grateful to Briana and her staff.

Had the best experience having our wedding at Pagu! From start to finish, it was great working with the team, Chris & Amanda! We emailed countless questions leading up to the day and they were always great in getting things answered and problem solving as needed. They have worked on many weddings and it shows why people continue to choose them. We had a wedding of about 60 guests and the space had more than enough room. We were able to utilize the patio space as well to get air when needed and so it was great to be able to spread out so comfortably. They could easily handle a larger wedding though as we originally were looking at higher numbers when we started. While your wedding day is overwhelming and you don't often get time to eat, the team made sure to bring us food on their upstairs balcony where we could hide out after our ceremony to eat and get a little quiet time away from guests. They also made sure to package anything we didn't eat (and the many leftover desserts that I overordered on from an outside source) for us to pick up the next day. We were so grateful for this and the food was still great as leftovers--truly! Their service is truly unmatched and they also are great in handling food restrictions/allergies--guests specifically noted this! They brought out smaller portions for those guests when needed so they still had enough options. We are still getting compliments on the food and drinks as well as atmosphere. We can't wait to celebrate many anniversaries eating dinner here too as the food is what absolutely sold us. We especially enjoyed getting to make our own cocktails which guests also raved about.

We had a Zoom pandemic wedding, so we had a belated reception on our 5th anniversary. Event was a lunch reception from 12pm-4pm (~80 pax). [WHO MARGEAUX IS FOR] You prioritize good food and drinks, have a small-medium guest count, want a beautiful venue that needs minimal decor, and need something accessible by car AND public transport. [WHO MARGEAUX IS NOT FOR] You want a traditional wedding event space, prioritize dance floor space, have 100+ guests, or really love glitter. ----- [VENUE] Margeaux's interior design style is romantic, warm, yet modern - absolutely gorgeous! Perfect if you don't want to do the heavy lifting on decorations. We did a full buyout, which includes the L-shaped dining space, the Oasis Room, and outdoor patio (which we didn't use due to winter). We put favors, stationary apps, and high tops in the Oasis Room, but it can also be used for extra seating. Glitter decorations are not allowed. [FOOD & BEVERAGES] The food – aka the reason we locked in the venue – is a fusion of New England and New Orleans cuisine. We've been to the restaurant several times for dinner and brunch, and the food is always great with generous portions. For our reception, we did a pre-fixe menu with a cheese & charcuterie station. It was very important to us that our friends with allergies/dietary restrictions had an equally amazing food experience, and Margeaux really delivered! The cocktail menu is fun yet sophisticated - with twists on classic cocktails (like the Bumbling Pair), but also unique drinks (like the Bali Dragon). They also had great N/A mocktails (like the Portrait of Lavender Gray). Highlights: Lobster bisque, ribeye, swordfish, apple crisp, and pecan pie [PLANNING & SET-UP] Rebekah (Owner) and Ally (Event Coordinator) were very professional and helpful! We had several virtual meetings with Ally and consistent email communication. Ally sent us their Special Events guide, venue photos, floor plans, and everything we needed to feel prepared. Both Rebekah and Ally emphasized that Margeaux strives to be flexible to accommodate unique events, and we really felt like they tried to work with us on the menu, layout & AV set-up, and our overall goals. [SERVICE] When we visited for regular dinner service, there were a few entrees that took longer than others. However, during our reception, service was great - everything came out in a timely manner and the servers and bartenders were very friendly and hospitable. Shoutout to Petar for helping set up the night before and to Brooke for being the sweetest! [VALUE] While everyone's event is unique, we felt that the value was great for the quality we received. The F&B minimum spend was more reasonable compared to many restaurants in Cambridge, MA. Ally and Rebekah were also very transparent about all the potential fees, so there were no surprises during our budgeting process. [LOCATION] Right in the heart of Porter Square, so it's accessible by the MBTA Red Line (Porter station). Located in a hotel building, which is good for out-of-town guests and GREAT if you need additional private space to change and store things. There is street parking around the block and valet parking for $10 at the hotel. [CONCLUSION] No AI was involved in the making of this review. We simply loved our experience working with Margeaux, and would highly recommend them for your events!

We hosted a bridal shower at Posto Assembly Row and it was absolutely perfect! The elegant space set the tone for my daughter’s beautiful celebration, and the brunch buffet was incredible! Everyone raved about the frittata, French toast, and roast chicken. I am glad we added the mimosa bar. It was such a fun touch! A huge thank you to Bridget and Devair, our amazing event planners, who made everything seamless from start to finish. Parking was simple thanks to the free Assembly Row garage. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I had to host a large group twice, and Janelle, the events manager, was extremely accommodating, flexible, gave advice on my choices, and met my budget. Both groups loved the food, and even wrote to me about it after the conference was over--- asked to have the dinner there again.

I can not say enough good things about the coachmen’s! This is not my first event I have thrown here and it definitely won’t be my last! Danny and his whole team are professional and always above and beyond. I recently had my daughter’s first birthday in the ballroom. Danny worked with me to create a menu that fit my needs and budget. He also had a meeting with me and answered my numerous phone calls about how I wanted the space set up. They allowed us to come in early to decorate our space. They even created food tags that matched my theme and colors (just because they are the best!) My guests raved about the delicious food! Im so happy to have this hidden gem close by!! Highly recommend !!

We got married at Catalyst Restaurant on New Year’s Eve, 2025 and it was truly the best decision we could have made! From the moment we toured the space, we knew it was the place. We always envisioned getting married at a restaurant, and Catalyst was everything we hoped for and more. Being able to host our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place—especially at a restaurant venue in the winter—felt incredibly special and rare. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and effortlessly vibey—absolutely perfect for a NYE celebration! From the very first time we met Robyn, we instantly connected (and discovering we had mutual friends made it even more fun!). She is simply amazing—professional, organized, warm, and endlessly accommodating. Throughout the entire planning process, she was responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive. She met with us multiple times, even over dinner, to talk through every detail. She truly became our go-to person and biggest advocate during planning. In the months leading up to the wedding, we visited Catalyst for dinner a few times, and Robyn and her team treated us like royalty—welcoming us with champagne and delicious appetizers to try. Their hospitality made us even more excited for the big day. On the wedding day itself, we were able to fully relax and be present. The moment I walked through the doors, any stress or nerves completely disappeared. Robyn, Carlos, and the entire team handled absolutely everything with such professionalism and care. The room flip between the ceremony and reception was seamless and stunning—they brought our vision to life even more beautiful than we imagined. It was truly impressive, and we’re still in awe! We continue to receive so many compliments about our wedding and how incredible Catalyst was as a venue. From the outstanding food and drinks to the impeccable service, every detail was perfect. We couldn’t imagine celebrating anywhere else. Robyn and her team hold such a special place in our hearts, and we are beyond grateful for everything they did to make our wedding unforgettable.
