Catalyst's team of managers, event planners and chefs are trained to execute to perfection. Private Event Sales Manager Maggie Couture can organize special menus with Chef Kovel, order floral décor and even replace Catalyst's dining room furniture with a modern lounge - complete with sofas, cocktail tables and sheer drapes hung from the ceiling to create separate spaces.
Finding a city wedding location is no easy task, but Catalyst removes many of the constraints of a restaurant wedding venue by bringing hotel event space and service to an intimate, personal restaurant setting. Catalyst's team of event managers developed their talents planning and executing weddings at five-star hotels, experience they now bring to weddings at Catalyst.
Saturday wedding for 200 with all events at one venue? Not a problem. Catalyst can host the ceremony inside its private rooms, on the heated patio or even on the grassy lawn of Technology Square. Guests can then move to cocktails around the fire, on the patio or around the bar. Dinner, followed by dancing and live music can take place in the restaurant itself or in 1600 square feet of private event space.

Unforgettable in every way. A five star experience!
My husband and I held our wedding and reception at Catalyst on July 28, 2018. From the minute we met Robyn, the incredible Event Manager (and so much more), we knew we were in good hands. As I am sure everyone reading this knows, planning a wedding and choosing a venue can be stressful and intimidating. Robyn and the entire staff at Catalyst went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, guide us through the process and make our wedding day absolutely perfect in every day. Robyn is professional, experienced and a joy to work with. We were fortunate to be able to use the entire restaurant and private rooms for the evening with each space providing a unique and beautiful vibe for different parts of the event. Robyn and her staff flawlessly turned the ceremony room over for dinner in under an hour with no candle out of place. Chef Kovel blew us away with all of the food from appetizers to dessert. The tasting was incredible and replicated perfectly for our 125 guests on our wedding day. The bartenders were amazing and on a first name basis with our guests before the end of the night. Kasey was amazing in managing the logistics and flow of the event alongside Robyn and Maggie was my fairy Godmother making sure I was eating, hydrated and even helping me with my gown! I would recommend Catalyst to anyone looking for five star service, food and cocktails and a wedding that will be unique and truly unforgettable. Catalyst Restaurant was the first decision my then-fiancée and I made when planning our wedding, and it was the best. Catalyst was the first venue we visited and, during our tour, led by the Private Events Manager, we both realized that it was the venue for us. Catalyst perfectly encapsulated our desire for an intimate space that could accommodate and provide for ~80-100 guests.
Throughout our 18-month planning process, Catalyst always responded to our emails in a timely manner and was very helpful in pointing us toward DJs and photographers. More important, as our wedding date approached, despite being very busy, the staff always responded to our requests and questions and often went out of their way to accommodate our needs. One example: Catalyst does not sell Downeast cider, but the staff was able to secure more than enough cans for our wedding. This meant a lot to both me and my now-wife, as we love Downeast and since a lot of people were visiting from overseas, we really wanted them to try a proper New England cider.
In the final week before the wedding, we worked directly with one of Catalyst's owners, Sara Kovel, who was just fabulous. She responded to our emails SO quickly and answered all our questions. We were not stressed about the venue at all, and our confidence in Catalyst was solidified during our reception. We dropped off a lot of stuff before the reception, not knowing how everything would look. It looked amazing.
Everything was just fabulous: the food, drinks, staff, space, everything. In short, if you have anywhere from 50-100 guests, who want amazing food, a tireless, friendly, and supportive staff, Catalyst is for you. It's a place that will always be a special place for us, and we can't wait to celebrate future birthdays and anniversaries there. Cheers!

We could not be happier with our decision to hold our reception at Catalyst. Planning the wedding from out of town, it was invaluable to have so much handled by the restaurant (cake, service, set-up, etc.) and to be work with such a responsive, knowledgable team. When I walked into the reception after the ceremony I was stunned by the incredible job the Catalyst team had done in translating my lists and set-up photos into a beautiful, intimate dinner for 65 people. It was absolutely perfect, and we received many comments from guests about how well the set-up looked and how incredible the food tasted. As our point-person, Maggie was especially helpful but everyone we worked with throughout those six months seemed dedicated to providing a great service without pressuring us to go beyond our budget.
