I had such a great experience with Applemoon. We decided to go with Applemoon because they provide high quality photography at a reasonable price. They were able to take a bunch of great photos without taking up a lot of our time during the wedding. We didn't do getting ready photos but we did take bridal party and first look pictures before the ceremony. We were able to get all of the pictures we wanted before the ceremony. After the ceremony we were able to get family pictures. We were even able to attend our cocktail hour. Also, we got our pictures back in 1 week! They were amazing! I would use them again for professional photos.

Applemoon Photography did not just meet my expectations but exceeded them, and at such a reasonable price! My husband and I have a huge and segregated family, but Applemoon took hundreds of pictures of many variations in just half an hour after the ceremony! By the end of the whole wedding, thousands of both posed and candid pictures were taken. Even my family members were telling me how impressed they were. If that is not awesome enough, the pictures from our engagement AND our wedding were edited and available to us in around 7 days or less. The photographer made us feel so comfortable and had a clear vision while also frequently checking in with our wants and needs. She was clearly experienced and showed great enthusiasm, professionalism and kindness on the job. Communication was never an issue as she was always quick to respond and proactive about any potential miscommunications. I would absolutely recommend Applemoon Photography to anyone and everyone in need of photography services on the central coast! I really cannot be more grateful and happy with the outcome of my choice to hire them.

She was professional and worked with us closely in every step of the process, even when we had a last minute change of locations. Maren and Michael were exceptional photographers that made the experience of awkwardly posing without previous modeling experience extremely comfortable and fun. They were fast, professional, and responsive. The quality of all the pictures are excellent and rival those found in the most extravagant magazine advertisements.

Michael and Maren were so easy to work with! We live in Colorado and had to plan our wedding from a distance, from the first Skype call they immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed. During the planning process they made sure we knew they were prepared to capture our day just the way we wanted... and they did a terrific job! They struck the perfect balance of taking amazing images without making the wedding all about the photographs. They were so personable during the wedding, they blended right in and magically captured all of the right moments! And if capturing the most perfect wedding photos wasn’t enough… they had a great idea to meet us at sunset in a different location following the wedding to get our special couple shots (since we weren’t able to do an engagement photo session). They did a great job of capturing us together in unique and memorable ways. Maren is so sweet! She was our photographer for several hours on our wedding day. Like many younger couples my husband and I are operating on a budget, and Maren was more than willing to customize a wedding package that fit our needs and our budget. We were able to set up a Skype meeting with her prior to the wedding to list which pictures/poses/people in photos that we really wanted. On the day of, she was prompt and so nice! She definitely has her wedding rhythm down and was able to capture special moments that we wanted without interrupting them or the flow of the day. I really appreciate many of the posed shots that she took- while I tend to enjoy more candid photos, the posed pictures are some of the most beautiful from the day. Maren also took us down the beach a bit and set us up for some really creative photos on the rocks and cliffs. She even waded in the ocean to get the photos. :-D There were a few moments in which I would have liked a bit more direction from her, particularly after the ceremony when larger family photos were being organized- it seemed like people had to get themselves together a bit, rather than being told where to go/how to pose/what we were doing. However, her work is beautiful and I would definitely work with her again. In the 6-8 weeks post-wedding, she sent several "sneak peek" photos, followed by a slideshow, then the full gallery of >800 edited photos. It was much more than we expected and sincerely appreciated.

I looked at a lot of photographers for my wedding. So many had great photos, but what makes Applemoon stand out is Michael and Maren. I am not a person that 100% loves being in front of a camera, but they made us feel so comfortable (plus didn't make us do any cheesy forced poses). They took a TON of photos and they came out wonderfully! They are so easy to work with and so flexible! I barely even noticed that they were at the wedding. Plus, you get a great mix of the traditional photos, plus some really cool artistic ones. I can truly say that they are great photographers, great people and would consider them friends. I would hands down recommend them for ANY event, especially weddings. In fact, I wish they could photograph my everyday life, just so I could be around them more. :)

Michael and Maren from Applemoon did a phenomenal job! We had a semi destination wedding and had to plan our wedding from 6 hours away. We had no personal reference to use Applemoon, just their beautiful website to go off of, and we were more than pleasantly surprised with the pictures we got back! They are a fun couple who really know their stuff, and you can tell that they love what they do. We don't know much about photography, so we were looking for photographers who knew what they were doing, and would help guide us with our stances and the shots.
