Two weeks before we said I do, the long-term coordinator at our venue left without any notice -leaving us to pick up the pieces. For context, my husband and I live all the way in Richmond, VA, so SLO was a destination wedding for us and our families -some of whom traveled as far as Berlin, Germany, to be with us on our special day. When everything seemed to go wrong, Sarah was there to help step in and put us back on track.
We first met Sarah for an engagement shoot. Her communication was impeccable; she arrived early and had no problem handling the chaotic whirlwind my husband and I had become. Not only did she have an amazingly bright personality, but she was also so prepared and professional. Later, she helped us adjust our day-of schedule to ensure the best lighting for pictures and the smoothest flow for wait staff. She even met up with us for an extra beach shoot when the fog rolled in the day before.
After our first hour together, I realized that Sarah really truly had my back, and for the first time in weeks I was actually able to exhale and enjoy myself. The pictures she took of my husband and me are without a doubt the best we’ve ever had.
Unfortunately, my wedding day misfortune would continue when my only bridesmaid, who was also my maid of honor, missed her flight. Sarah picked me up off the floor, dusted me off, and got me back into the proper headspace. If I needed my veil adjusted, she was there -no one to hold my bouquet? No problem; she shot pictures with one hand. When I say this woman is a superstar, I really truly mean it. By the end of our time together, I genuinely felt like I’d gained not only a new friend, but also an older sister.

Sarah, was outstanding. From the moment we were recommended it was easy. She was super responsive, got back to us quickly with anything we needed. Then day of the ceremony, it was rainy and we were in a vineyard. Sarah did a great job at making the 40 minutes of sun we had work and navigating mud ect.. We are really happy with the photos, and she was super easy to work with. Definitely recommend.

I cannot recommend Sarah and Mirror’s Edge highly enough. We used Sarah for our wedding recently, and she absolutely nailed it. The pictures are gorgeous (which you can tell by looking at her portfolio), but what we really appreciated about Sarah was 1) she was prepared, having multiple cameras, memory cards, and batteries ready to go along with a shot list we worked with her on ahead of time, 2) she was flexible, accommodating changes and schedule and new ideas easily and making them come to life, and 3) she made everyone feel comfortable and by being easy to work with, but specific enough about how we should pose that everyone could feel comfortable knowing they were doing the right thing.
Pro-tip for couples - we highly recommend taking her up on her engagement session if you’re doing a wedding shoot with her. It gave us the chance to get to know each other and feel comfortable, but also gave her a low-pressure situation to explain how to pose so when we went to take our photos on the wedding day with limited time, we knew exactly what to do and could get some fantastic shots.
Sarah clearly puts a lot of care into her craft and clients, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Sarah did such an incredible job capturing our wedding last month! We had to change our original plans due to COVID but everything turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. We absolutely LOVE our pictures! There wasn't much time to take pictures due to another wedding taking place but Sarah took all the pictures with our loved ones and captured everything so perfectly.
