Oak Pit Catering

Michael and his staff were absolutely amazing! We hired Oak Pit Catering for our wedding in Paso Robles and it was by far the best experience we have ever had! From the start Michael was responsive and professional. He was knowledgeable about food allergies and really took care in making sure everyone had something to eat. Having Celiacs, it was such a nice feeling being able to enjoy the food at my wedding. Michael and his staff were attentive throughout the wedding, walking around checking in on everyone multiple times to see if they needed anything. We got multiple compliments on how the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and had great energy. Now, the food! Wow! The food was out of the world amazing. By far the best forget wedding food, just by far some of the best food I have had in general. I cannot count how many compliments we got about how amazing the food was, and still to this day weeks later, we are still receiving messages raving about the food and wanting the recipe. I would have my wedding over again just to have their food again! I highly recommend Oak Pit Catering to everyone!

Michael and his crew did an outstanding job of catering my daughter's wedding! There was 140 people and the food was so fresh and delicious! Cooking the fresh meat outside in front of the guests while cocktail hour happening was a hit! There were multiple guests that commented this was the best wedding food they have ever had, particularly the tri-tip (and we had a lot of tri-tip guru's in attendance!). My husband also said it was the best chicken he has ever had!

Michael was very responsive to all communications and provided the licensed bartenders we needed. He also accommodated our schedule for taste-tasting since we were coming in from out of town and only had one afternoon. His prices were also less than many other caterers we considered. We are so happy we went with Oak Pit!! Thank you Michael!.

If you have not booked Michael and his team for your big day, you should do so immediately. From the moment we reached out he was friendly, professional and so responsive. The food is outstanding and we are still dreaming of it. Our wedding was a scorcher, but Michael and his team still had smiles on their faces. Our guests were well fed and taken care of and he made sure we got some of the passed appetizers, even though we were taking photos during cocktail hour. We hope we have an excuse to work with him again in the future.

So I have to believe that my finding Oak Pit catering was not a coincidence and I feel like everything just kind of aligns. From start to finish Michael and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only is the food incredibly delicious, It is absolutely worth every cent. I found Oak Pit on wedding wire, and I believe they had only recently joined, but their menu definitely catered to my fiancés and my own more adventurous palate, we like complex flavors so we were floored at the tasting! And we also had a lot of family coming in from Texas who really enjoyed barbecue so for us it made sense to have elevated barbecue at our wedding and we were not remotely disappointed by any of the food items that we received the appetizers were absolutely insane and delicious. We even had our own private plates at our wedding, which was perfect because we hadn’t eaten most of the day at that point. And the passed hors d’oeuvres and the station service was perfect all evening and the catering staff went above and beyond what we couldnt have asked for a better evening.

Oak Pit Catering was absolutely phenomenal. Michael worked with us from the beginning and was so accommodating to every request, question, and change. The appetizers and entree were both fantastic, our guests continued raving about it for weeks after the wedding. On top of their delicious food, every Oak Pit employee was so kind and joyful, we simply cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Oak Pit!
